Tyrant

Chapter 77

Ridd.i.c.k was Level 19 but for all purpose matters he was still a child. He hatched 2 years before and his vocabulary was not the greatest yet so conversations were a little tough. In order to pa.s.sed the time Ridd.i.c.k just made Igor a target while he threw Chaos Fireb.a.l.l.s at his new servant.

3 days later Midori finally finished consuming her own pill increasing to 11 ft in length and achieving a whopping Level 18 that granted her the ability Screech. This ability allowed her to send a sound wave towards her opponent leaving them incapacitated for a few seconds depending on the difference in levels. The jumps on 2 levels was the most important change for her as she was now faster than before.

Midori slithered towards Ridd.i.c.k and when she saw the Imp saliva started dripping from her mouth, they had not eaten anything for a year and a half and even if they didn"t need it just the enjoyment of eating would be satisfying. Ridd.i.c.k saw the saliva and knew what his friend was thinking and said "Not Food, Servant". While Midori was getting to know Igor by joining the targeting game, Elune managed to open her eyes.

The Energy from the leveling candy had now integrated with her body and it had helper reached Level 17 in one go. Elune felt that her mind was a little bit clearer and she could feel a stronger connection to the spirit Realm increasing the potency of all her spells and granting her the ability to enhance the party.

The first spell was a staple of the shamanic path and was the Spirit of the Wolf. This spell called upon the great wolf Spirit Fenrir to grant the Shaman"s Allies with a little bit of his power increasing their movement speed by 20%. The only drawback to this skill was that it was mostly use for traveling as any outside influence could take them out of the spirit link and end the enhancement. The second spell was Vehemence that took away strength and toughness from the spirits around Elune and gave them to her allies making them stronger. The final spell was a multi-person heal that diverted from the stimulation of the cells to increase the healing rate of a person and took on a more divine healing role and provided immediate healing to internal and external damage.

Rahz absorption took another 5 days to complete but when it was set and done he was extremely close to level 18. There was only one new skill and it was more of a support ability but if use correctly opened up a myriad of possibilities. Triumphant Shout allowed Rahz to Activate 2 depleted Chaos Runes instantaneously and could be use every 5 minutes. In addition to this powerful skill his strength and toughness of his body was equal to a Level 19. Even though his dad"s weapon never let him down it was becoming too light for him and if he continue using it, he would be hindering his progress.

"When we get out of here, I"ll have to get a blacksmith to reforge it" Thought Rahz

The team was finally complete once more, Igor was introduced to Ridd.i.c.k"s Kin and despite not liking that his young master had made a soul contract he didn"t really despised Rahz.

Elune talked about the other contents of the Enchanted pouch and gave it to Rahz for safe keeping. Since they had two pouches now, it was only natural for Elune to carry the old one with her Alchemy supplies in it.

Rahz and the others finished talking about all their gains and skills and decided that it was time to complete the mission and be on their way towards the temple. The Specter had been quietly waiting for them to psych themselves for the task and when everyone turn to see him, he coughed twice and started his explanation of the fight or so they thought.

"Once you go through those doors, you would be able to see Lord Darick. At the time of the invasion he was a Level 49 guardian that hated the idea of using a Shield and Sword just because he was a Guardian. His Weapon of choice is the double bladed polearm and even though the Dragonkin took away most of his gear he managed to keep two of his items his weapon and the most important the Belt of the t.i.tan".

"Don"t think that because he was a Guardian his strength was subpar to any Berzerker out there. He fought versus the best of the Dragonkin in many occasions and I can say that if it wasn"t for the curse taking away their levels one or 2 of their generals would have fall under his blade. That being said, if you can"t beat him in martial combat try to steal the grimhold doll and released his soul".

Rahz thought the explanation was pretty straight forward and he liked simple things, no fuss about it, just go in there and beat him. There was not much information about the weapon and the so call Belt of the t.i.tan and they need it to be taken seriously. So far the weapon and pouch that they managed to pick up proofed to be extraordinary so the lord of the place should have the best of the best equipment.

"How long until the rebirth we lost track of time while we were cultivating" Said Rahz

"Two days left, if you are wounded make sure to come out of the room"

Rahz Nodded to the Old Guard and proceeded to walk towards the final room. The team was extremely giddy, there was nervousness as well as excitement, strong equipment and riches always brought smiles to adventurers since the beginning of time.

Very slowly the group crossed the threshold indicated by the broken doors and from the shadows an enormous being walk into the light. The shadow was at least 15 ft tall and on his feet there were a pair of dragon claws that could tear meat from bone with ease. As more and more of the shadow came to light, they saw a humanoid creature with black scales covering his body. He Only had 4 fingers in each of his hand but his nails gave the same feeling of sharpness than the claws on his feet. The eyes were yellow with a black vertical pupil that made people feel they were a lamb being stare at by a mighty predator and they would be right. The face had the bone structure of a dragon and a human while two horns curved to the back like that of a sheep. A powerful tail swung from side to side as he walked to the middle of the room where the light finally shone on a pair of gorgeous but deadly dragon wings.

The imp on top of Ridd.i.c.ks shoulders started to shake in fear while cursing the Old Guard that had send his young master to his death.

"Wait a minute guys… I think we should go back for now, that is no Dark Elf Undead, in fact that is something that shouldn"t be in this side of Elysian..."

The Witch Doctor finished the imps sentence for Elune"s benefit … A Scaleborn General, a Dragonkin.

"WELL..WELL..WELL, FINALLY!! AFTER 5000 YEARS I CAN TASTE FRESH MEAT!!! WEAK RACES SHOULD BE FARM LIKE CATTLE… NOW COME AND LET ME SAVOR YOU"

Rahz looked at the Dragonkin in front of him and while he felt intimidated, the Energy Pressure generated by the 15 footer in front of him was nowhere near what he felt from his Father and the chiefs of the villages during the war. That meant he was not a second evolution fighter and there was a chance to beat him 5 against 1.

At the side of the Scaleborn shone a black and red Double Bladed Polearm supporting all the information regarding Lord Darick given by the Old Guard. The only difference was the appearance of the enemy that could be an illusion to scare his enemies.

"That is Lord Darick, don"t let him intimidated you" Said Rahz while running towards the center of the room.

CHAOS BLADE!!!

Rahz swung his Axe horizontally while 2 chaos blades flew straight for Darick. In his fight against Chrysalis, Rahz understood a little bit better about the art of layering attacks to create an opportunity. The Chaos Energy reached within 2 ft from Darick and without moving from his place, he used Strengthen Defense on his polearm and absorb the attack.

No Way!!
