"See you, big guy," Vincent said, patting the Dretle"s snout, earning a sad sound that sounded between chittering and a roar."In you get," a wizard in black robes guided the Dretle inside a small bag. Miraculously, the Dretle managed to fit as it disappeared into the bag, "don"t worry kid, us Romanian wizards are specialized in dealing with dragons, although a man-made one is slightly new to us."
"Thank you, sir," Vincent said shaking the man"s hand, earning a nod before he made his way to Hogwart"s gate.
"Finally gone, eh?" Hagrid said, standing by Vincent, "Don"t worry Vince, it"ll be fine."
"Thanks for looking after it Hagrid," Vincent said gratefully while looking curiously at the big man.
"Hm, what is it?" Hagrid asked.
"Nothing," Vincent said, "can I ask you a question?"
"Go ahead, ask," Hagrid said.
"How exactly did you get expelled?" Hagrid froze as he looked at Vincent slightly nervous.
"We-well," he spluttered before sighing, "it ain"t somethin I wan to talk abou, sorry Vince."
"No problem Hagrid," Vincent said, "it was rude of me to pry into it in the first place, my bad."
"No problem Vince," he said sadly, "I"ll tell you one day, but I ain"t ready for tha yet."
They both stood in silence before Vincent glanced at the castle, "Well, I"ll be heading off now, I"ll catch you later Hagrid."
"A"ve a good day Vince," Hagrid waved before heading into his hut.
Vincent was about to head into the castle when he heard a loud thump, followed by a groan of pain. He raised his eyebrows before walking over to the Whomping Willow where he spotted Neville lying on the ground panting.
"Hey Neville," Neville looked up to see Vincent standing over him.
"Hey Vince," he grumbled as he got up.
"Having a go at the Willow?" Vincent asked, pointing to the now healed tree.
"I don"t know how you do it man," Neville sighed, "that thing hits like a hammer, not to mention that it"s pretty fast as well."
"Neville, I"m going to be blunt with you," Vincent said, "you probably won"t be able to train like this in your life."
Neville just groaned as he lay on the ground, "I already figured that out, but mind elaborating?"
"I"ve trained my whole life on the streets, dodging and blocking physically is what I"m good at," Vincent said, "but you"re a wizard, you have been taught how to approach combat differently. Focusing mainly on this type of training, you might be able to become physically stronger than all the wizards and witches in your age group, but your ability to wield magic would become neglected to the point that a first-year could beat you."
Neville was silent for a moment before talking, "So I should quit training like this?"
"That"s not what I mean," Neville looked at Vincent who sat beside him, "basically, it all comes down to time management."
"Eh?" Neville was confused.
"Exactly what I said," Vincent said throwing Neville a drink, "you"re spending more time on strengthening yourself physically rather than taking the time to improve your skills in magic. So I have a suggestion..."
"Starting from now, you have to spend one to two hours a day studying spells."
"..." Neville just sat there blankly, "but that"s far harder than exercising. Magic and physical activity are..."
"No different," Vincent interrupted Neville, "exercise must be constant, you have to improve yourself little by little every day. Magic is no different. It"s just a matter of whether you"re willing to push yourself. You do want to become strong right?"
"Yes!" Neville said.
Although Vincent was a muggle, he had all of Neville"s trust.
"Here"s a couple of suggested spells for you to learn," Vincent said, writing on a piece of parchment, "the shield charm is a must. I don"t expect you to learn them completely, but if you want to become better, then you won"t neglect this."
"I"ll give it a go," Neville said sheepishly as he looked at the shortlist of spells, "studying, great."
...
"Thanks for coming!" Vincent said to his customers as he closed up shop.
It"s been nearly four months since the last petrification incident. Since then, the attacks seemed to have stopped. Vincent had also opened up his little food store at the front of his hut. During the weekdays, he"d open for a good three hours a day before closing up shop.
Despite how short the opening hours were, he had gotten a lot of customers and had racked up a fair amount of coins.
"Theo, what do you need?" Vincent greeted the blond Slytherin student waiting for Vincent to finish.
"Can"t I wait for a fellow potion-maker?" Theodore Nott said with a neutral tone, "I just wanted to see how that particular potion was going along."
Vincent nodded as he pulled out a gla.s.s bottle filled with bright green liquid. Theodore Nott was a Slytherin that often joined Malfoy"s gang. It was around two months ago when he and Vincent officially met during a potions cla.s.s. Nott and Vincent had an odd sort of relationship where they would say about five to six sentences per meeting and it was all about potions. A week ago he had asked Vincent to take a look at his potion creation to see if there were any flaws. Despite not liking muggle-borns, he had a small amount of respect for Vincent"s skills regarding potion-making.
"A potion that strengthens an item," Vincent said as he pa.s.sed the potion to Nott, "The problem with the original was that it weakened the object when the potion wore off which was, by the way, one day. To improve it, I had to change the amount of some ingredients, mainly the Unicorn hair and the stirring method had some problems with it, so I changed it a little as well. This one allows for the potion to persist through three whole days straight with slightly stronger qualities and the whole weakening situation nullified. Here"s the edited version."
Nott took the potion and recipe with a nod before looking up at Vincent, "You know I don"t like you."
"Yeah, yeah," Vincent said tiredly as he locked up the hut, "screw you too."
They both stared at each other before laughing to themselves. Nott took out a bag of coins and tossed it towards Vincent who caught it.
"Payment," Nott said before walking off, not giving Vincent a chance to reject it.
"He"s prideful," Vincent commented to Nyx who shrugged. Blimp just gave a small hiss as it did circles in the air.
He entered the castle to find the trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione filling out their subjects for the third year in the Great Hall along with other students.
"Still picking?" he said as he sat down, "you guys are pretty slow."
"Well, if over half the subjects required magic and we were muggles, then we"d be finished by now too," Ron grumbled, "not a lot of subjects don"t require magic."
"True," Vincent chuckled as he handed them hot dogs, "anyone hungry?"
The food disappeared from his hands as if by magic. He blinked as he watched them devour the food. Ron he could understand, but Hermione too?
"We-well that was quick," he chuckled before turning serious, "I know I"ve been saying this a lot for the past few months, but I really don"t think Hagrid opened the Chamber, let alone raised its monster. That book showing Harry its memories is also pretty suspicious as well. I do think we should give it to Dumbledore or someone"
"I believe that what Tom showed me was real," Harry argued, "Hagrid was expelled and the fact that he loves monsters isn"t much of a secret."
"But the monster"s description is not even a snake at all," Vincent frowned.
"You didn"t even look at the monster," Harry said.
"I trust Hagrid," Vincent said, "despite his, tendencies, I trust him."
They were all silent with only the sound of Ron munching on his food.
"Wish I could give up potions," he mumbled before looking up, "did I miss something?"
The three sighed. After an hour they made their way back up to the dorm"s, running into an anxious Neville.
"Harry — I don"t know who did it — I just found —"
Watching Harry fearfully, Neville pushed open the door.
Everyone"s eyes widened as they looked at the boy"s dormitories. The contents of Harry"s trunk had been thrown everywhere. His cloak lay ripped on the floor. The bedclothes had been pulled off his four-poster and the drawer had been pulled out of his bedside cabinet, the contents strewn over the mattress.
"What happened?" Hermione asked surprising Vincent.
"Can girls go into the boy"s dorms?" he asked.
"Apparently, girls are more trustworthy than boys," she explained as Harry searched through his stuff, "boys can"t go into the girls" dorms, but girls can go into the boys", but that"s beside the point, what happened?"
"Riddle"s book is gone," Harry said to them with Neville looking confused, "don"t worry about it, Neville."
Hermione and Ron looked at Vincent before indicating to Neville. He sighed as he pats Neville"s shoulder, "Let"s go, I want to check your progress."
"Uh, ok," Neville realized that they didn"t want him to listen and walked out with Vincent.
...
"Ok Neville, let"s see how much you progressed during these past months," Vincent said pulling two wooden sticks out.
Neville nervously pulled out his wand as he got into a strange posture that resembled a boxer.
"Before we start, what kind of spells have you learned?" Vincent said as he attached a thin rope to both ends of the sticks, making something resembling a skipping rope.
"Just, Expelliarmus," Neville said going a bit red in shame over just learning a single spell, "I can only do half a shield charm."
"Did you try your best?" Vincent asked as he tested his makeshift weapon, using it like a whip.
"..." Neville thought to himself before looking down, "I did, but it wasn"t good enough—"
"If you tried your best, then there"s nothing to be ashamed of," Vincent grabbed both ends before looking at Neville, "trust me, even if you fail time and time again, as long as you try your best, there is nothing to be ashamed of."
Neville gave a small smile as he held his wand out thinking, "Vincent"s always like this, he just won"t give up on anything will he."
"Alright, the match ends when one of us is disarmed," Vincent held his wooden rods up, "or when one of us admits defeat. We start the moment Blimp hisses. All good?"
"Yeah, I"m all good," Neville looked determined.
"When you"re ready Blimp."
A whole half-minute pa.s.sed as Neville and Vincent both stood there silently, weapons raised. Blimp finally swallowed it"s egg before hissing, indicating the start of the match.
"Expelliar—?!" Neville saw Vincent throw one end of the rods out, causing him to roll out of the way. He quickly got into a kneeling position before seeing Vincent expertly guide the rod end into a downward strike, causing him to hold up his wand, "Protego!"
A small transparent wall appeared blocking the strike. He sighed before Vincent moved both his hands to the middle of the rope, shortening the range but allowing for both ends of the whip-like weapon to attack as he swung them around.
"Protego!" Neville gritted his teeth under the endless blows, "Protego! Protego! Protego!
Due to his imperfect shield, Neville had to move his wand around to block each and every blow Vincent dished out at him. Neville"s arm started to numb as he stepped back under the barrage of blows. Suddenly, after one attack, Neville felt Vincent"s foot collide with his stomach, making him fall back into a roll to reduce the impact.
"Expelliarmus!" Neville yelled as the spell zoomed in on Vincent, he saw the spell about to hit Vincent before it fizzed out, making Vincent raise an eyebrow as he went to kick Neville"s Wand hand.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Vincent was taken aback before noticing a part of the ground rising fast towards his face.
Vincent merely blocked with his arms as the attack sent him a little bit into the air. Neville, seeing his opportunity, pointed his wand at Vincent.
"This time it"ll reach!" he thought before yelling, "Expelliarmu—?!"
Vincent"s shoe smacked into Neville"s wand hand, making him drop it in surprise.

"And that"s game," Vincent smiled as he landed back onto the ground, rolling to reduce any impact.
"You-your shoe," Neville spluttered while Vincent just laughed as he put it back on.
"Take this as a lesson," he smiled, "be prepared for the unexpected."
"Screw shoes," Neville muttered, "ah, I nearly beat you too."
"You were close," Vincent said picking up Neville"s wand and giving it to him, "that last spell caught me by surprise."
"It"s a floating spell first years learned," he mumbled, "I merely levitated the dirt out of the ground."
"It was a good move," Vincent said nodding, "you might have beaten me if your spell didn"t fizz out.
"I got too excited," Neville said embarra.s.sed, he then pointed at the skipping rope-like weapon, "mind explaining to me what these are?"
"I thought it would be incredibly unfair if I used my rods," Vincent said as he spun the wooden ones around, "not to mention, they hurt far more then wooden ones."
"Point taken," Neville grumbled.
They took a break by the stone steps.
"So what was that about earlier?" Neville asked, thinking of the messy room.
"Something of Harry"s was stolen," Vincent said, "it held information about the Chamber of Secrets."
Neville"s eyes widened, "Did you find anything out?"
"For the time being, no," Neville looked slightly uncomfortable, "in case your wondering, Harry isn"t the heir."
"It wasn"t that," Neville said hurridly, "I was just thinking, only a Gryffindor could have stolen it right? There"s no reason to steal it unless of course, you"re the heir and you don"t want anyone to find out. If that"s the case, then the heir of Slytherin could be in Gryffindor."
Vincent"s eyes widened when he thought about that possibility.
...
Vincent was still thinking about it the next day. He was currently on the Quidditch stands making hot dogs with Luna sitting at his side.
"These are wonderful Vince," she said as she chewed on her food, "are you sure I don"t need to pay?"
"It"s fine Luna," Vincent smiled at her, "anyhow, you came rather early."
"I don"t particularly have any friends in my house to interact with so I have a lot of free time," Vincent frowned, "but that"s fine with me, you"re my friend, and that"s all I need."
Luna gave him a happy smile. It was only now that Vincent realized how valuable she held her friendships. In the whole school, Vincent was her only friend. Neville usually talked with Dean and Seamus a lot so the only person she could talk to was Vincent.
"We"ll always be friends," Vincent said turning to Luna, "I promise."
"Thank you," she said happily as she pet Blimp.
The Quidditch match was taking an awfully long time to set up, so Vincent asked a question that"s been on his mind.
"Hey Luna," she turned to him, "here"s a rhetorical question. How would you find the heir of Slytherin?"
Vincent decided to trust her with what he and the trio had gathered so far in their search, he even included the diary and the fact that Hagrid was said to be the heir. It was lucky that the crowd was so loud otherwise people would start looking at him weirdly. He even included his own thoughts on the matter. Normally, spilling all this information out to any other student would tempt them to spread it to the whole school. Luna, however, was not the kind of person to do such a thing, hence the reason she had Vincent"s full trust.
"So, the diary was stolen in the dorms," she said, "yes, then it is indeed likely that the heir of Slytherin is in Gryffindor, he or she must have seen the diary and decided to steal it, afraid of anyone that could gleam any information out of it."
"That"s exactly what I thought," Vincent said, sitting down and leaving all the selling to Nyx and Blimp, "but what was the heir trying to achieve? The extermination of muggle-borns?"
"That"s probably the reason," she furrowed her eyebrows thinking, "the book, Christmas, four months, book stolen yesterday."
Her eyes suddenly widened as if she realized something, "The book was found at the start of the year right?"
"Yeah?" Vincent said, unsure of where Luna was going with this.
"Since then, no one has been attacked," at this point, Vincent paled in realization, "what if, the one that opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago, wasn"t Hagrid, but—"
"Tom Riddle," Vincent suddenly felt everything start to clear up, "some Gryffindor could have come across his diary."
"Allowing Riddle to tell him how to open the Chamber"s," Luna finished.
"However, even with that information, we still don"t know who the culprit is," Vincent said.
"Have you seen anyone act weirdly this past year?" Luna said, "anyone at all?"
"Not really, just—?" he was interrupted by Professor McGonagall who came out on the field at the same time as the teams, holding a microphone.
"This match has been canceled," Professor McGonagall called through the megaphone, addressing the packed stadium. There were boos and shouts. Oliver Wood, looking devastated, landed and ran toward Professor McGonagall without getting off his broomstick.
"But, Professor!" he shouted, "We"ve got to play — the cup —Gryffindor —"
Professor McGonagall ignored him and continued to shout through her megaphone:
"All students are to make their way back to the House common rooms, where their Heads of Houses will give them further information. As quickly as you can, please!"
Vincent frowned as he saw her beckon to Harry to come with her. He stood up.
"Luna, I"m going to see what"s wrong," he said, earning a nod in understanding, "Blimp, Nyx, let"s go."
He ran into Ron, both nodding to each other as they hurried towards Harry who was currently walking up to the castle with Professor McGonagall.
"Mr. Won, Weasley, yes you two come as well."
"This will be a bit of a shock," said Professor McGonagall in a surprisingly gentle voice as they approached the infirmary. "There has been another attack, another double attack."
The three of them looked at each other in dread, with Vincent feeling his heart drop as he noticed a certain bushy-haired girl, not with them.
Professor McGonagall opened the door, revealing Madam Promfey looking after a petrified fifth-year girl. However, their attention was on the bed next to her. Lying on it, looking utterly frozen lay—
"Hermione," Ron groaned while they approached her bed.
"They were found near the library," said Professor McGonagall. "I don"t suppose either of you can explain this? It was on the floor next to them."
She held up a mirror, earning a shake of the head from both Harry and Ron while Vincent looked as if he was deep in thought.
A while later, she addressed the Gryffindor"s in their Common Room.
"All students will return to their House common rooms by six o"clock in the evening. No student is to leave the dormitories after that time. You will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No student is to use the bathroom unaccompanied by a teacher. All further Quidditch training and matches are to be postponed. There will be no more evening activities"
"I need hardly add that I have rarely been so distressed. It is likely that the school will be closed unless the culprit behind these attacks is caught. I would urge anyone who thinks they might know anything about them to come forward, " she finished before walking out the portrait.
"What, happened, why wasn"t Hermione with you guys?" Vincent asked seriously, for some reason, Harry and Ron were slightly frightened as he glared at them with his golden eyes.
"I heard the voice," Harry said, "I heard it, it said that it will definitely kill this time. After I told it to both Ron and Hermione, she said she understood something and ran off to the library."
"What could she have understood?" Vincent thought.
"What"re we going to do?" Ron asked Vincent and Harry quietly, "Do you think they suspect Hagrid?"
"We need to go talk with him," Harry said making up his mind, "I can"t believe it"s him this time, but if he set the monster loose last time he"ll know how to get inside the Chamber of Secrets, and that"s a start."
"I don"t think Hagrid had anything to do with the Chamber of Secrets," Vincent said making both of them look his way, "I think that Tom Riddle had opened it and framed Hagrid."
"What?!" both Harry and Ron looked shocked making Vincent sigh as he explained both his and Luna"s thoughts about the matter.
"Then it"s settled," Ron said brightly, "all we need to do is find whoever has the diary."
"I don"t think it"d be that easy Ron," Vincent said, "it"s not wise or easy to sneak among other people"s belongings just because they might have the diary. Regardless, visiting Hagrid is a good idea, we need to ask him about Riddle."
"But McGonagall said we"ve got to stay in our tower unless we"re in cla.s.s —" Ron said alarmed.
"I think," said Harry, more quietly still, "it"s time to get my dad"s old cloak out again."
"Uh, what?" Vincent felt left out.
"Harry has an invisibility cloak," Ron whispered, making Vincent"s eyes widen in surprise.
"You have a fricken invisibility cloak?!" Vincent looked excited at the thought.
...
"Oh, what"re you three doin" here?" Hagrid said lowering a crossbow he had held up to their faces moment"s ago.
"Are you ok Hagrid?" Vincent asked, noticing Hagrid"s nervousness.
"It"s nothin, nothin," Hagrid muttered. "I"ve bin expectin", doesn" matter. Sit down, I"ll make tea."
Hagrid backed up fast, knocking over the teacup on the table, making b.u.mp to the floor next to Fang, inciting a bark from the dog.
"Hagrid," Vincent grabbed the larger man"s arm, "what is going on?"
Hagrid looked at Vincent, Harry, and Ron before sighing, he was about to answer when there came a knock at the door.
Hagrid indicated with his head to the side of the cabin before walking slowly to the door with his crossbow. The three of them, understanding the message, hid there with the invisibility cloak on them.
Hagrid opened the door to find Dumbledore and a very odd-looking man. The stranger had rumpled gray hair and an anxious expression and was wearing a strange mixture of clothes: a pinstriped suit, a scarlet tie, a long black cloak, and pointed purple boots.Under his arm, he carried a lime-green bowler.
"That"s the Minister of Magic," Ron muttered shocked, "Cornelius Fudge, also Dad"s boss,"
"Hagrid, four attacks on Muggle-borns," Fudge said wearily, "things have gone too far so I had to come, Ministry"s got to act."
"I never," said Hagrid, looking imploringly at Dumbledore. "You know I never, ProfessorDumbledore, sir—"
"Hagrid has my full trust Cornelius," Dumbledore said looking extremely serious.
"I know Albus," Fudge said, looking extremely pressured, "I"m under a lot of pressure. Got to be seen to be doing something. If it turns out it wasn"t Hagrid, he"ll be back and no more said. But I"ve got to take him. Got to. Wouldn"t be doing my duty —"
"Take me?" said Hagrid, who was trembling, "Take me where?"
"For a short stretch only," said Fudge, not meeting Hagrid"s eyes, "Not a punishment, Hagrid, more a precaution. If someone else is caught, you"ll be let out with a full apology—"
"Not Azkaban?" croaked Hagrid.
"What"s Azkaban?" Vincent whispered.
"The Wizarding prison," Ron muttered dreadfully, "the worst of the worst are all imprisoned there, a majority of them are Death Eaters, You-Know-Who"s followers. Blimey, Hagrid."
"Shut up!" Harry hissed.
Another knock came from the door which Dumbledore answered. Harry gasped in surprise earning a sharp jab to the stomach by Ron.
"Lucius Malfoy," Ron whispered, "Malfoy"s father."
"No wonder he looks like a rat," Vincent thought, "a very slick one."
He had the same pointed nose as Draco and extremely white-blond hair. His skin color was extremely pale. All of this, matched with his grey eyes, gave the picture of an extremely arrogant man.
Mr. Lucius Malfoy strode into Hagrid"s hut, swathed in a long black traveling cloak, smiling a cold and satisfied smile. Fang started to growl.
"Already here, Fudge," he said approvingly. "Good, good."
"What"re you doin" here?" said Hagrid furiously. "Get outta my house!"
"My dear man, please, believe me, I have no pleasure at all in being inside your — er — d"you call this a house?" said Lucius Malfoy, sneering as he looked around the small cabin. "I simply called at the school and was told that the headmaster was here."
"And what exactly did you want with me, Lucius?" said Dumbledore. He spoke politely, but the fire was still blazing in his blue eyes.
"Dreadful thing, Dumbledore," said Malfoy lazily, taking out a long roll of parchment, "but the governors feel it"s time for you to step aside. This is an Order of Suspension — you"ll find all twelve signatures on it. I"m afraid we feel you"re losing your touch. How many attacks have there been now? Two more this afternoon, wasn"t it? At this rate, there"ll be no Muggle-borns left at Hogwarts, and we all know what an awful loss that would be to the school. Not to mention, that one Muggle you brought in on your own without consulting the MInistry."
"Vincent Wong has earned his right as a student of this school," Dumbledore said with steel in his voice, "you will not lay a hand on any one of my students without my permission, do I make myself clear?"
Lucius started sweating a bit under the pressured gaze of Dumbledore and couldn"t help but curse inwardly. Why would Dumbledore care so much about a mere Muggle?
"Oh, now, see here, Lucius," said Fudge, looking alarmed, "Dumbledore suspended — no, no —That"s the last thing we want just now."
"The appointment — or suspension — of the headmaster is a matter for the governors, Fudge," said Mr. Malfoy, regaining his smooth appearance, "and as Dumbledore has failed to stop these attacks —"
"See here, Malfoy, if Dumbledore can"t stop them," said Fudge, whose upper lip was sweating now, "I mean to say, who can?"
"That remains to be seen," said Mr. Malfoy with a nasty smile. "But as all twelve of us have voted —"
Hagrid leapt to his feet, his s.h.a.ggy black head grazing the ceiling.
"An" how many did yeh have ter threaten an" blackmail before they agreed, Malfoy, eh?" he roared.
"Dear, dear, you know, that temper of yours will lead you into trouble one of these days, Hagrid," said Mr. Malfoy, "I would advise you not to shout at the Azkaban guards like that. They won"t like it at all."
"Yeh can" take Dumbledore!" yelled Hagrid, making Fang the boarhound cower and whimper in his basket, "Take him away, an" the Muggle-borns won" stand a chance! There"ll be killin" next!"
"Calm yourself, Hagrid," said Dumbledore sharply. He looked at Lucius Malfoy.
"If the governors want my removal, Lucius, I shall, of course, step aside —"
"But—" stuttered Fudge.
"No!" growled Hagrid.
Dumbledore had not taken his bright blue eyes off Lucius Malfoy"s cold gray ones.
"However," said Dumbledore, speaking very slowly and clearly so that none of them could miss a word, "you will find that I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me. Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it. "
Dumbledore"s piercing blue eyes tore into Lucius, making him frown under the pressure. Dumbledore eyes flickered to where Vincent and the other two were hiding.
"Admirable sentiments," said Malfoy, regaining control of himself and bowing. "We shall all miss your—er—highly individual way of running things, Albus, and only hope your successor will manage to prevent any—ah—killings."
"And the matter of Vincent Wong?" Dumbledore asked dangerously.
"He will continue attending Hogwarts until proven, unworthy," Malfoy grimaced at his words. Even though he had a large dislike for Muggle-born"s, he felt it was not worth the trouble to kick Vincent out of the school.
"Good," Dumbledore strode out of the cabin with Lucius, who opened it and bowed Dumbledore out.
Fudge, fiddling with hisbowler, waited for Hagrid to go ahead of him, but Hagrid stood his ground, took a deep breath, and said carefully, "If anyone wanted ter find out some stuff, all they"d have ter do would be terfollow the spiders. That"d lead "em right. That"s all I"m sayin"."
The door banged shut and Ron pulled off the Invisibility Cloak.
"We"re in trouble now," Ron said hoa.r.s.ely. "No Dumbledore. They might as well close theschool tonight. There"ll be an attack a day with him gone."
"Not unless we find the culprit," Vincent said, thinking over Hagrid"s last words.
Fang started howling, scratching at the closed door.
//((AUTHOR"S NOTE))
So in case people ask, there are a couple of stages in figuring out the Chamber of Secrets. Who opened it? Where is it? How is it opened? What"s the monster?
Vincent, along with Luna had discovered who had opened it fifty years ago, Tom Riddle. He had discovered how the present-day heir had opened it, through Tom Riddle"s guidance. He knows that the monster is a type of snake, although he doesn"t know what it is. That leaves the question of where it"s located and who"s Tom Riddle opening it through. This is why the spiders still included, to discover where the Chamber"s are. Luna"s probably my favorite character due to her open-mindedness and loving nature.
Now I don"t particularly like copy and pastes, but they are necessary sometimes when writing fanfic unless you"re destroying and recreating certain plot points. I"m sort of half recreating and mostly adding new plots, so some of the main storylines will stay the same.
Nearly finished cleaning, so there"s that.
Again, thank you for reading, hope to see you all again.
