"Lost appeal, they"re going to execute at sunset. Nothing you guys can do. Don"t come down. I don"t want to see any of you."

The group looked at the letter sent by Hagrid in a grim silence.

"We can"t let him be alone," Harry said. "He can"t sit there on his own waiting for the executioner to come!"

"We"d never be allowed out though..." Ron began before Hermione of all people cut him off.

"Invisibility cloak, we"ll all go, agreed?" Hermione said immediately.

"One problem Hermione, five of us won"t fit underneath it," Vincent pointed out.

"Oh, that"s true," Hermione looked thoughtful for bit.

As they were discussing their plans, the portrait opened up to reveal Professor McGonagal looking around the room before her eyes settled on them. She approached their table, eyeing Vincent.

"Professor Snape would like to see you Mr. Wong," she said. "It seems he needs you for the rest of the evening.

Vincent grimaced and looked back at the group.

Afte McGonagall left, Vincent got up. "Don"t wait for me, knowing the Professor, it"s going to take a while."

"Just ditch him, Hagrid is more important..." muttered Ron.

"You do know who Professor Snape is right?" Vincent asked. "I ditch, and he"ll absolutely murder me. Not to mention Hagrid could get into more trouble if I was found out."

"Just go, Hagrid will understand," Hermione a.s.sured.

Vincent just nodded as he packed his books. He shifted his bag over his shoulder. "Well, i"m off. Seeya."

Vincent, followed by Arnya made his way to the dungeons.

...

Sirius was out strolling through the woods with nothing but a certain rat on his mind. He heard a meow behind him, finding Crookshanks right beside him. Giving the cat a nod, he continued on his walk, stopping as he saw three figures exit Hagrid"s hut walking by the Hippogriff.

Sirius instantly recognised Harry, the boy and his father looked so very much alike that it was almost uncanny. It brought him some undescribed pain and joy to see the boy so healthy.

"...calm down Scabbers!" the red-headed boy said, making Sirius" mind go completely blank.

Looking closer, he noticed that the boy was holding a struggling figure, a rat of sorts. Rage and excitement clouded his head, making him rush to the edge of the forest, not noticing two figures approaching the Hippogriff behind him.

"Tonight, tonight is where you get everything that"s coming to you, Peter," Sirius thought with rage as he and Crookshanks rushed out.

...

"Keep an eye on the cauldron"s while I settle some matters," Snape instructed as he grabbed a smoking goblet of sorts, holding a potion of some kind. "If I see even one of them deteriorate, then the ingredients wasted will come out of your wallet."

"The heck? Your the one who asked me to look after this, why am I being punished for it?!" Vincent grumbled under his breath, making Snape stop at the door, giving him an evil eye.

"Is there a problem?"

"No, sir!" Vincent stood a little straighter as he continued stirring.

Snape just kept glaring before making his way out the door. "Once I return, you can go."

After the door closed, there was a long period of silence where Vincent was worried about what was happening with Hagrid. He wondered if the man was alright or not.

Vincent sighed as he continued stirring, looking to Arnya who was reading her book. "You want to talk?"

"About what?"

"No idea, anything?" Vincent flinched as a cauldron started bubbling and rushed around the office, finding the right ingredient. He threw the ingredient to Nyx who caught and placed a small charm on it before dropping it in the cauldron, calming it. "We"re going to be here for a bit, so I thought some conversation could help pa.s.s the time."

Arnya looked thoughtful for a bit as she put down her book. "Then, have you heard of the King of London?"

Clang!

Vincent dropped a ladle out of surprise and rushed to pick it up. Vincent looked a little stiff as he answered. "Where did you hear about that?"

"Just some guys talking about it near your home, I was just curious," Arnya raised an eyebrow at Vincent"s reaction. "Do you know anything about him?"

Time pa.s.sed as Vincent stirred several cauldrons. Everytime one reacted unnaturally, he would rush over to fix the problem.

During all of this, Arnya waited for Vincent"s answer.

"King, huh, been a while since I heard about that guy," Vincent finally responded with a chuckle as he set the ladles to the side, letting the potions rest. He leaned up against the wall with a sigh. "Well, to put it shortly, he"s the best fighter I"ve ever seen. Never seen him lose a single one. I can even confidently say with experience that he can deal with Vampire Knights and avoid being killed by Werewolves. He could probably beat a Wizard in a one on one showdown if he"s prepared."

"What"s so special about him that you could say that with absolute confidence?" Arnya asked.

"Let"s see," Vincent looked thoughtful. "If I had to list his most outstanding trait, it would be his adaptability. Oh, and his ability to throw."

"Throwing?" Arnya frowned.

"Yeah, throwing," Vincent felt amused at the questioning expression of Arnya. "Sounds incredibly lame doesn"t it. But trust me on this, his throwing ability is absolutely terrifying."

Arnya had a really confused look on her face as Vincent laughed a bit.

"So how do you know him?" she asked curiously.

Vincent"s smile faded slightly. "How I know him? He was my teacher."

"?"

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Come in! Professor Snape"s not here!" Vincent called as Professor Flitwick entered the room.

"Professor Snape told me to tell you that you can head back now," Professor Flitwick instructed.

Vincent was visibly confused by this. "But his potions aren"t finished yet, they still need another three hours to boil otherwise it"ll turn into waste."

"Professor Snape said that you don"t need to take responsibility for this," Flitwick said adjusting his gla.s.ses.

"Sir, what was the Professor doing before he told you this?" Vincent asked as a foreboding feeling came over him. Snape would never let his potions go to waste unless an important issue came up.

"Oh he was just rushing down the stairs from the third floor," Flitwick answered as he stood on his tippy toes to look at the insides of the cauldrons. "I suggest you head to bed Mr Wong, it is rather dangerous around here nowadays."

Vincent didn"t head straight for the tower and instead ran towards the third floor making several Prefects yell at him. He arrived at an open Defence Against the Dark Arts office and sure enough, the smoking goblet filled with potion was still there, with neither Lupin or Snape nearby.

"Where did they go?" Vincent thought with a frown as he approached the desk. He noticed that the parchment from the last time he visited was still on the table and approached it only to stand in shock. His face turned absolutely white as he looked at certain living map.

"The Marauders map. d.a.m.n it, why didn"t I use this earlier?! And how did Lupin learn to open it?" Vincent muttered under his breath. With that he quickly scanned the page for any sign of Lupin or Snape. "Where on earth are they?"

While he was at it, he noticed that Harry, Ron, and Hermione were missing, nowhere to be seen near Hagrid or in the tower.

Vincent felt nothing but urgency as he looked through every single bit of parchment, barely catching the scrawling writing of Snape as he disappeared near the Whomping Willow.

"What on earth has those three gotten up to now?!" he cursed under his breath as Arnya finally caught up to him.
