Chapter 2383: Chaos

Ultimate Supreme Being City was the new gate built by Ultimate Supreme Being Palace. The city was majestic and had a radius of three thousand miles.
The Ultimate Hall was still the main palace of Ultimate Supreme Being Palace. In that moment, Ultimate Supreme Being, Snow Supreme Being and Destructive Supreme Being were all sitting in the Ultimate Hall.
“My two guests, what do you reckon?” Ultimate Supreme Being asked in a low voice.
On the main throne sat Ultimate Supreme Being, and he looked at Snow Supreme Being and Destructive Supreme Being.
Now, even the outside world had found out and had been discussing how Qin Yun was a close disciple of Zi Xiao, and that Zi Xiao had obtained the Ultimate Sword Art and Ultimate Holy Sword.
“Palace Master, this matter has been rather suspicious. I have already sent my men to check and they confirmed that back then when Qin Yun murdered a few of Zi Xiao Sword Palace’s disciples, Zi Xiao did cover up the story and did not let it to spread!” Destructive Supreme Being said solemnly.
“Do you think that… the rumour is true?” Ultimate Supreme Being asked, expressionless.
“Not necessarily. But, Zi Xiao indeed is suspicious. Currently, both Zi Xiao and Ling Chang are not back, so we have no proof!” Destructive Supreme Being shook his head and said.
“Palace Master, when you sent Ling Chang to Heavenly Palace to find Chenyu and had Zi Xiao shadow her, with their speeds, they should long have arrived a month ago, but now they are nowhere to be seen!” Snow Supreme Being said softly with a trace of doubt.
Ultimate Supreme Being listened and remained silent as he did not really believe the rumours.
After all, both Zi Xiao and Ling Chang had been brought up by him. Even if they were not fully counted as his disciples under him, he should still be regarded as their teacher.
But, apart from the possibility that the rumours were false, it was certain that there was definitely something going on between Zi Xiao and Ling Chang.
If not, why did Zi Xiao not punish Qin Yun for killing his disciples?
Furthermore, why were Zi Xiao and Ling Chang taking so long to return? By right, they should have been back via Reincarnation Holy Court.
“Palace Master, how do you plan to deal with this?” Destructive Supreme Being questioned.
“Let’s just wait! Wait till Zi Xiao comes back!” Ultimate Supreme Being replied.
“But… what if he doesn’t?” Snow Supreme Being’s narrowed. If the rumours were true, Zi Xiao would have betrayed Ultimate Supreme Being and never come back.
This was very possible as Zi Xiao was a mighty Great Supreme Being whose skills were comparable to Ultimate Supreme Being’s.
Not to mention that if he did obtain Ultimate Sword Art and Ultimate Holy Sword, although he was not exactly undefeatable, it would still take a lot of effort from Ultimate Supreme Being.
“If he really doesn’t come back, I shall personally clear him out!” Ultimate Supreme Being said emotionlessly.
When Destructive Supreme Being and Snow Supreme Being heard him say that, both of their hearts skipped a beat. They knew that Ultimate Supreme Being was thoroughly enraged by this matter.
They were also unsure of how strong Ultimate Supreme Being was exactly as it had been hundreds of thousands of years since the Palace Master’s last confrontation.
…….
“d.a.m.n.”
In a remote mountain outside a cave, Zi Xiao sat cross-legged, infuriated.
He had been cultivating there though the mountain was not very far away from Ultimate Supreme Being City.
After threatening Ling Chang, he had remained there, not returning to Ultimate Supreme Being City even once.
As he was sent by Ultimate Supreme Being to follow Ling Chang secretly, as long as she did not return, there was no way he could return either.
Thus, he had decided to cultivate at the mountain while waiting for Ling Chang to reappear.
It would have been best if Ling Chang was able to catch Qin Yun, but Ling Chang most probably did not know where Qin Yun was either. Regardless, it did not matter as Zi Xiao had his power card to help him track down where Qin Yun was so he did not have to worry.
However, Zi Xiao had not expected that while he was using his Spiritual Consciousness to find out about what was happening in the vicinity, he would discover that many people in the city cl.u.s.ters not far away were talking about him.
And the content of their discussions was absolutely revolting to him.
Qin Yun was his disciple?
He had obtained the Ultimate Sword Art and Ultimate Holy Sword?
It was utter nonsense and it was clear that somebody had set him up.
“Qin Yun? Ling Chang? Or someone else?”
Zi Xiao was fuming. The culprit was most probably Qin Yun, or Ling Chang, or even possibly the both of them.
Zi Xiao then suppressed his anger and silently groaned inside.
As of then, since Ling Chang had not returned, it was better for him to stay put and wait a little longer instead of going back to Ultimate Supreme Being Palace.
He was not that bothered. If this was Qin Yun’s game plan, it was a piece of cake to handle!
“Qin Yun, oh Qin Yun, I hope that you have not forgotten your place!” He laughed grimly before shutting his eyes to begin his cultivation again.
…
After cultivating over a month in Sky Dragon Court, Cloud Dragon City, Su Mo quietly left the mansion.
He left Sky Dragon Court and entered the Reincarnation Holy Court.
Since he was in a region close to Human Palace, he sent a message to Qing Ya to ask for updates.
Within moments, Qing ya replied that she had successfully entered Human Palace and even though she had never gotten to meet Palace Master Rende, she had seen Supreme Being Xuan Tian.
Swiftly, Su Mo updated her on his plan concisely and a.s.signed her missions.
After which, he headed back to Sky Dragon Court, Cloud Dragon City, to begin cultivation again.
He was roughly certain of the game plan. As of now, all that was left was to wait and see.
In the Secret Room, Su Mo took out a lot of Five-Element Dawn Stone absorbing the powers while internalising the Devouring Rules.
He remembered that the Divine Elixir was effective for 20 years and since it was still effective, he had to make use of every moment of it.
As time pa.s.sed, Su Mo’s cultivation level slowly increased, his mastery of the Rules also became stronger over time.
At this juncture, Tian Chenyu returned to Reincarnation Holy Court Human Palace where Di Yihun stayed hidden.
In the s.p.a.cious Secret Room, the floor was still covered in pictures of Maelstrom while blinding starlight filled the entire room.
Donning an embroidered robe, Di Yihun was moving slowly, surrounded by the misty Halo.
“Have you heard any news of Su Mo?” Tian Chenyu, who was dressed in white, stood by the entrance of the door, glancing at the shadow in the middle of the room in the streaks of Halo.
“Is there another piece of surprising news to share?” Di Yihun spoke, his voice seemingly rather hoa.r.s.e and distant. Apart from that, he remained motionless.
“Certainly there is. He had gotten the Ultimate Holy Sword from Great Sword Sepulcher and also the Ultimate Sword Art from Ultimate Supreme Being Palace.” Tian Chenyu replied.
“Indeed he is strong, even more powerful than Tuoba Qingyun.” Di Yihun sighed.
Even though he had not been to Great Sword Sepulcher, he knew Tuoba Qingyun had been there previously and returned empty-handed.
“This fellow disappeared again, is he playing Hide-and-Seek with us!?” Tian Chenyu’s face turned pale. “We must get rid of him soon. If he continues to grow, he will become even more tedious than Tuoba Qingyun to handle!” He warned.
Di Yihun sank into silence. “What clues are there?” He said after a while.
“There are some leads, but I’m unsure if they are true or false!”
“According to rumours, Su Mo and Zi Xiao has some sort of relations.h.i.+p. As for Zi Xiao getting the Ultimate Holy Sword and Ultimate Sword Art, I have already sent people to find out the details of it.” Tian Chenyu nodded and continued.
“There is no smoke without fire, I shall have to trouble you again on this matter.”
Di Yihun sighed and continued with his hoa.r.s.e voice, “If there’s a need for it, I shall deal with it personally.”
