Waking myself back from the inside of the system tool, I threw a single look outside and confirmed the presence of the small piles of stone slowly protruding from the earth and forming a shape of a spear.

Before I even managed to turn my head back to the outside through the window close to me, all the deployable reached their final form and stopped changing. But instead of proceeding with my initial plan of chasing the beasts to the other side of the tower, where those six additional towers would make a quick work of them, I held back my hate towards those f.u.c.kers that dared to invade my land and proceeded towards the stairs.

Being on the second floor, there was only one more level above me, without any roof to protect me from the aerial attacks.

But it didn"t matter since right in the middle of the open platform on top of my tower laid an inconspicuous, small item.

While it didn"t reach the advancement tower level of expansiveness, its price still made me wonder whether it was worth to splurge on it. Sadly, with how limited my current spells were, I didn"t have many options that would allow me to resolve my current situation.

Noticing my presence on the open top of the building, many aerial beasts instantly attempted to skydive on me in hopes of ripping me apart with their readier claws, only to clash against the upper part of the barrier that surrounded the entire building and the area extending towards my advance tower.

Resting the palm of my left hand on top of this oval-shaped object, I recalled the feeling of casting the spell that I previously experienced.

With no emotions to guide my hand, I had to rely on my memories in order to obtain effects at least close to what I did before.

Trink.

As if something clicked within my soul, I saw a small spark appearing above my extended right hand, before it suddenly inflated and turned into the fire-core, the same object that continued to spit fire before.

Obviously, there wasn"t such thing as fire-core. Or even if there was, I had no way of obtaining it. It was only a s.h.i.+tty naming sense of mine that forced me to find a way to call this thing in order to drill the ability to summon it into my body.

As soon as the currents of mana rushed through my veins to sate the endless thirst for the energy of this fire-core of mine, the entire world reacted as if I was this kind of core in its body, sucking at every last bit of energy inside it.

It was at this moment, while I was watching the fireball grow and grow in size, that I realised that there was a lot of a.n.a.logies that I could draw between myself and the world. But what got me worried was the fact that if I could do something like this, if the world has any sort of consciousness, there had to be something it would compare itself to as well!

Being a reincarnated person, I was unable to have any faith in G.o.d, since I personally experienced its presence. Maybe I was wrong in the beginning in putting that being I met in the shoes of the absolute from the earth?

Thinking about this, made me realise that there is no way that what system called entropy, was actually a poison!

Just like someone"s mana couldn"t be used by the others, this had to be the natural defence mechanism of the world which tried to prevent others from stealing its own energy!

Even if this idea was dangerously close the point that all the cultivators made about going against the will of heaven, it disregarded the divide and hierarchy of the world by itself and the divine that created and ruled it!

If I took it for granted that those two ent.i.ties were, in fact, one, then breaking the rules of this world would mean in fact, going against the will of the heavens. But what if those two were separate ent.i.ties?

The moment this thought lodged itself in my mind, I felt something click, as if a clog between the gears got finally crushed by the pressure applied by the motor that moved it all up. It also happened to be the moment, when my fire-core siphoned enough of my energy to start its show.

Once again, a rain of fire graced the land with its blessing of destruction, sticking to everything that was unlucky enough to fail to dodge it.

Everyone else would be either stunned by the sight, or at least tried to control it to make it as effective and efficient as possible, but with the whirlpool of my thoughts and ideas stirring my mind, I was unable to focus on such mundane things.

If the entropy is the way for the world to ensure that no one would step out of the line and absorb more energy than the heavens prescribed for them, does it mean that mutating one"s body to accept entropy as the heavenly energy would allow me to steal the might of the heavens despite being a mere mortal?

Even if this was only my silly conjecture based on a.s.sumptions and guessed, the alure of embracing the highest form of the energy was simply too great for me to resist.

The only reason for my life right now was to grow as fast as possible to reach the point where I could cure Eve of her wounds. If I could risk my life for the sake of obtaining the power that had to be sufficient to save her, what was there to worry about?

Once again, something seemed to click inside me.

The first thing I noticed, was the change of pattern to my fire.

It no longer stuck to the beasts, nor did it them all.

Contrary to that, as soon as even the smallest wound appeared in their bodies, all the fire covering them was extinguis.h.i.+ng by itself, while the beasts nevertheless were dropping dead, as if the fire on their skin was just the mirror image of the fire of their life!
