This single change of the reality that I forced on myself on my own, broke all the determination I had to keep the surroundings safe.

It was because I didn"t want more people to be affected why I just didn"t let my anger and hate get the reins and wipe the floor with the remainings of those pitiful experts. I hoped that by doing everything the way I did, I could protect others from what I subjected the inhabitants of this city.

Yet all of this turned out to be just a sick joke.

The barrier that I noticed and that those patroling people spoke about, wasn"t meant to hold the zombies in. It wasn"t mean to save others!

Just by looking at the other side of it, I was somehow able to instinctively understand that I was free to open the teleportation window there.

Without the interference of the barrier, not only would it end up successful, but there would be almost no casting time, just like when I first used it back when I had to escape from this d.a.m.ned place.

As those thoughts all dawned on me, I felt a powerful tingle, shaking my body and my soul alike.

All my good intentions betrayed just like that!

If this is how the world where the strong eats weak makes people behave, then there is no point in trying to straighten it up by myself. There is no reason for me to sacrifice myself for the sake of others.

I"m not a messiah. I"m not ready to give up on everything for the salvation of others. It takes a true G.o.d to do so. And I"m not put myself up to such task!

With nothing else forcing me to care about the outside areas, I turned my back and waited for my pursuers. Since they went as far as to create such a barrier that could only prevent me from escaping, there is no way they wouldn"t give chase after I played them like that!

Just like I thought, it took only a few moments for them to appear at the end of the street leading out of the town. If not for my slightly higher ground on the rubble that used to be the gate, it would take me just a moment longer to spot them.

Bonger, can you reach through this barrier? It would be lovely if you could prepare an escape route back to the tower for me.

"Blop!"

"The spatial interference makes it impossible to create any spatial pa.s.sage."

So I guess that"s it.

There was no point saying or asking anything anymore. All those sects showed their colours when they watched how Katenaris and Dracons were bullying me, and now they only confirmed their moral stance.

Getting rid of them would equal to cleansing the cancer of the planet!

Unwilling to bother with any moral responsibilities anymore, I recast the vortex, creating several weak fireb.a.l.l.s in front of me, while storing all the leftover entropy in long tendrils on my side.

As soon as those experts flooded the street along with the roof of the remaining buildings on both sides, I released the fireb.a.l.l.s.

While they were no weak by no means, they couldn"t compare to the might of sunflare or the penetrative aspect of entropy. The moment the ball of fire met with those experts, it broke down just like a ball of semistable liquid, pouring its content all over them, yet failing to do any serious damage.

Just like smacking someone"s face wouldn"t do them any harm, it still left the mark! Even if their bodies supported by their cultivation were far too resilient for this silly spell of mine to prove effective, it at the very least was able to slow their advance down.

And what they didn"t realise - block them from noticing the true attack!

As I was unable to cast any entropy reserved spells, my only option was controlling it directly.

By coating it with a thin layer of the mana to protect it from the interference of the world, I was able to extend it to almost as far as I was able to see. With the entropy being just a special form of energy, it didn"t need to obey the rules placed on the corporeal things by the laws of the world!

Using two tendrils of entropy which extended like tentacles in hentai, I slashed them through the streets, pumping more and more of this aspect into my made-up weapon while disposing of the pure energy by casting more and more shockwaves both in front and behind me.

Even if it limited my freedom of attacks with the shockwaves being unable to stand even a single scratch from the weapon of mine, I couldn"t leave the option of some powerful reinforces arriving, unattended!

With all the dust kicked by the ma.s.sacre ensuing just a few meters in front of me, I could only gauge the progress of the bloodbath by the number on the specific notification rising with every kill that I got.

At this point, I couldn"t help but wonder how many levels I would be able to farm in this single fight!

BOOM!

Before I even realised, the first of the experts managed to either dodge or toughen through my attacks, only to clash against dormant shockwave planted like a mine all around my current position, instantly flying back to the pit of death, swiftly losing his life to just a single, concentrated slash of my entropy whip.

Maybe because I was unable to see the grim sight that was bound to cover every last bit of the vision of those subjected to my attacks, but the growth of my killing frenzy was rather slow.

I guess it could only be said… it was for the better. If I turned as reckless and focused as I did back when I killed the aquatic monster… This city would disappear from the maps!

Boom!

Unable to be bothered with more and more enemies overcoming my attacks with some kind of method, more and more of my shockwaves was going off, clearing the immediate surroundings.

But that meant that I couldn"t hold like that any longer.

Any form of continuous attack would force the other side to find countermeasures.

Since this kind of whipping didn"t work any longer, I pulled it all back, before whipping to my sides and covering myself with a knot of the entropy, swiftly reforming it into a coat of energy.

Right on time.

CRAs.h.!.+

As if a meteor fell down on the earth, something crashed against the part of the town just about a kilometre away from my position, causing the entire place to tremble!

I guess I stayed here too long. Their reinforcements came!
