As soon as I finished setting up the barrier for its functionality to suit my own description, I turned around on my feet and moved towards the entrance. With Gabriel, Helia and the others surprisingly giving up on the idea of punis.h.i.+ng the princess and her retainers just for the sake of following me, the entire crowd that would otherwise block the entrance, moved aside, creating a corridor just wide enough for this small group of mine to move comfortably through.

While I claimed that there would be yet another round of ruling done personally by me during which the basic laws of this place would be set up since Gabriel turned out to be alive even if not well, I decided that it would be better to just do it through him. If I were to b.u.t.t in, while my laws would hold greater importance in the hearts of the people, it would also easily lead to sabotaging the authority of the local power, that would sooner or later, completely take control of this place.

Just like I allowed the refugees to live outside of the lands of the first city, I didn"t really want to take part in the events happening in this place. Considering how just a few days outside of this place turned into an entire year for everyone inside, no matter how much I would like this place and people living in it, I simply had no way of living my life with their company without giving up on my hunger for power.

In the end, this place would be nothing else but a stepping stone, used both for my own personal growth and saving Eve out of her situation. With how I could only visit them a few more times during their life, and only if the matters at the heavenly city wouldn"t take a long time to solve, I simply had to start separating myself from their lives if I wanted to see them prosper!

"Bart… What"s wrong?"

Only when we reached the foothold of my tower, did Helia dare to say anything. Considering how I was initially oblivious to the time dilatation, maybe she was scared that by stepping inside, an insane amount of time in her new world would pa.s.s?

With my thoughts now fully focused on how I was suposed to deal with both this place and the people that put their trust in me only to see me depart for only G.o.d knows how long, my face in fact turned sour, allowing this witty girl to ask her question basing it on her keen observation sense alone.

"I will be leaving this place soon."

Pus.h.i.+ng the doors to the tower open, I lead everyone inside the ground floor, still keeping the time-flow of the rest of my small dimension. While I was quite eager to see how my private garden turned out with the change of the time flow, doing so would require me to run through the real-time areas, putting everyone on the floor and inside the dimension to a few days long wait, rendering this urge of mine impossible to realise before finis.h.i.+ng all the matters in this place.

"Wait, what? My lord, please…"

This time, the first one to react to my words was Gabriel. Just a single look behind was enough to confirm that rather than protesting, Helia could only look at me with a clear pain engraved in her eyes, when the realisation that her dream of living with me would never come to a realisation.

"Listen. This place is free of wars and conflicts. After dealing with the princess, I don"t have any other choice than to let you to your own devices. You need to understand one thing, while a year pa.s.sed for all of you, I didn"t spend more than three days outside of this dimension!"

Suddenly turning myself back to face them, I decided to not keep this fact from them. If I were to just leave and let them find a reason for it themselves, I was sure some sort of even dumber ideas for my decision would come to meddle with otherwise peaceful environment of this world.

"With how I still have yet to accomplish the goal that is at the very top of the list of my priorities, I simply can"t just lie down and waste my life away in this place. But that leaves me with one thing I have to do before leaving."

Instead of getting into argument with them about whether or not to live, I simply pushed the talk on the matter of the future. While initially, I wanted to announce the new laws and regulations in the open, considering how Eve would see everything that happened, I preferred to not waste any of my time. After all, no matter how much the time was diluted in this dimension, my own perception still considered it as the same no matter what kind of universe I was!

"First thing first, Gabriel. Do you have any hopes of seeing your wife bear a child?"

While I could attempt to implement democracy or some other as lofty as a stupid concept, I wasn"t this kind of monster to subject the people of this place to the unjust suffering of this fakely fair system.

"My lord… I… I don"t know it, but I dare to doubt it. After all, we are not in our prime age already…"

"Okay then, it"s not like I can put you on fault here. As for what I wanted to settle with it. From now on, I name you the king of this place. Sadly, I can"t force your rule on the people that already left the first city, meaning you will have to find a way to deal with them by yourself. Preferably, I would like you guys to live in peace with each other, but I won"t fault you if a conflict arises. As for succession…"

Looking at the crowd of about forty people, I turned my eyes between Helia and Jessie, who so far followed me without even uttering a single word.

"If Gabriel won"t manage to have a son to succeed in his line, the first male heir to be born out of Helia or Jessie will take the crown and held the ancestry of the new ruling house!"
