"Promise me that no matter what you will learn from me, you will never go for me, or allow anyone you know to do so, and I will give you all the information that you need. Refuse, and you will have to waste half of your life looking for it yourself just like I did!"

As soon as the first bit of information managed to spark my interest, Celleria instantly injected a bit of sourness into the revelation. Just this bit alone was enough to clarify how shrewd she was when it came to this topic, hinting at how potentially dangerous the knowledge that she was offering could be.

"Eve, what do you think?"

To be frank, while the effects that Eve blood could have on my system would make it extremely alluring for anyone else in my shoes to just get it all. Considering the level of Celleria wariness and how she was most likely a step-sister to my fiancee, her blood could also be used for the sake of obtaining the points, even if due to her lower cultivation stage it would have far lower effects.

Yet as much as it would tempt anyone else, it simply held no meaning to me!

After all, I was long past the point when I actually had a natural drive to get stronger! Initially prompted by the magical feeling of cultivating, when I saw what could happen to the people close to me because of the enmity and rivalries that would be born by my attempt to grow, I lost all interest in actually improving myself!

Yet just like Eve"s injury was the reason why cultivation lost its initial value to me, it was also for this reason why I did my very best to grow in power as quickly as I could, because only by becoming an existence that towered over everyone else could I have any hopes of ever saving my beloved one!

But just like the first drive that I had, with Eve now standing on my side without any remaining injuries, there was simply no reason for me to strive for greatness! I wasn"t as shallow as to think that only by reaching the absolute pinnacle of the world would I fulfil myself as a man!

"I don"t mind giving her such promise. Just follow what you think is right."

Taking a look at Eve, I could see that while she really hoped that I wouldn"t bother myself with Celleria, she just couldn"t bring herself to potentially limit my options.

As if going against her own wishes would ever cross my mind!

"Okay then, speak your mind."

Turning my face back to Eve"s step-sister, I finally agreed to her request.

"Okay then? Are you serious? Do you really think that I would accept such half-a.s.sed promise?!"

Contrary to my expectations, rather than being happy with how we obliged with her request, Celleria only flared up as if by doing so, I actually slapped her face only to make sure a bout of my saliva would hit it perfectly in place!

"Then what the heck do you want then? If you can"t believe in our words, then what"s the point of asking us to swear?"

If the entire meaning behind her words was to irk me, Celleria surely managed to achieve her objective. With how she flaunted the information right in front of my eyes only to retract it when I took the bait and act so high and mighty a single moment later, then maybe simply sucking her blood off would be a better choice in the end?

"Blood oath! That"s the only way that will make me trust you!"

Suddenly speaking some words that despite all the knowledge that I had, I couldn"t recognise, Celleria looked at me with a triumphant look on her face. As if she ever achieved something in the first place!

"Forget it then. I promised that I will drop you off on the mainland, but I never said when I will do so. I guess I will just keep you in prison for long enough before you will decide to stop acting like a d.a.m.ned b.i.t.c.h and just tell us what you wanted to tell in the first place!"

At this point, I couldn"t hold myself back any more. If it were to be any other sort of information, then nothing could irk me as much as Celleria just did. After all, if she wanted to trade the knowledge that could have a great impact on Eve"s future, it would be as vital as it was for the Soviets to learn the secret of atomic bomb all the way back during the late period of the second world war on earth!

"Wait, what?"

With her eyes suddenly opening up as wide as her eyesockets allowed, Celleria attempted to back off a few steps, once again raising her aura to defend herself, yet with my emotions now raging through my mind, there was no way I would just let her do as she wished!

Bursting forward, I appeared right beside her with my head already tightening on her throat before she even managed to make a single step. Even without upgrading the statistics after the previous limit on them was lifted with the upgrade of the system itself, the power that I could command even before this breakthrough was already way more than enough to deal with a small fry like her!

"I allowed you to live and prosper so long, only because of your potential blood connection to my beloved. If you really thought that you could use my kindness against me, and act as arrogant as you just did by trying to force me into anything, then you were greatly mistaken. Now, if you want me to hold myself back once again, to take you being my Eve"s sister into account once more, you better start f.u.c.king talking right f.u.c.king now!"

With my rage only augmenting my strength, I realised that as I spoke, my fingers already started choking the girl, making it impossible for her to speak aloud. Only after I relaxed my grip, did she finally manage to open her mouth.

"I will… s-speak."
