"Here are your robes…"

Mere few moments after we finally stepped out from the portal at the outskirts of the city, Bonger"s semi-corporeal avatar that looked exactly like the stickman from many, silly cartoons that I watched back on earth, brought a huge package filled with something soft.

"Good job, mate. Thanks for the help!"

Deciding to fully ignore the words that almost appeared back in the tower, I picked up the package from Bonger"s arms before distributing it amongst the three of us.

"What, are you so thirsty that you can"t even let me and my sister change in peace?"

As soon as I was about to change myself, Eve put my attention towards the fact, that I didn"t actually bother to turn around in order to give the girls some privacy! Yet as much as I saw nothing wrong with Eve"s request, considering how we f.u.c.ked each other just a few longer moments ago, her sudden shyness was a clear cue that she was plotting something!

"Okay, okay, I"m turning around already…"

Not willing to pick up the fight just yet, I simply turned around and finished changing as soon as I could, yet not because I was eager to peek, but rather because I couldn"t be bothered to wear those tattered rugs that used to be my clothes a few moments ago was simply degrading!

"Anyway, let"s not waste any time. It"s not this place has any special aura that would hold me in…"

Just as I spoke those words, I could feel one of my memories resurfacing. A promise that has been made, but has not been fulfilled. Something that I never wanted to leave behind me, even if realistically speaking, there was no way some kind of spell or curse from the likes of people at Jelleria"s power scale, would be capable of ever harming a proper sage like me!

Yet that didn"t change the fact, that I wished to fulfil all my obligations before leaving this place. In this world, filled with fate, G.o.d"s will in its literal form and all other sorts of shenanigans, I didn"t dare to take my own words lightly.

After the girls finally finished dressing up like the proper members of the Heavenly city, all that was left for us, was to reach the city itself. While obviously, we could do it on the foot, rather than wasting so much time on simply walking, I couldn"t be bothered with doing so, so I created a small portal gate that leads us directly to the very centre of the city, the foothold of the ancestral mountain!

"Ah, it"s been a while… Right, Eve, even though you saw it all in my memories, this is still the first time for you to visit this place. DO you have anywhere you would want to go?"

Sending a curious look down to my side, where Eve"s body was wrapped around my arm, I could see that while her stare was throwing her eyes all over the place with the hint of insatiable curiosity hidden behind her pupils, the rest of her face indicated that albeit interesting a bit, she was long past the point where such mundane activities like tourism could let her have fun.

"How about… The continent? Ah, I do not want to hurry you, but I think that since our aim here was to get the new clothes, then since we achieved it already, there should be no point in wasting our time in this place anymore?"

Noticing my curious stare, Eve angled her head so that she could gaze directly into my eyes. With our pupils locked in the perfect stalemate, neither of us willing to let go of this loving stare, something really strange had to happen to throw me off my mental stability!

"Oh, great lord ancestor! We came to offer you our praise!"

Out of sudden, someone who happened to be randomly pa.s.sing by the three of us, turned his head to a point where he could actually cast a glance at my face. Yet what was even more perturbing, was that as soon as those words of his left the man"s mouth, the entire crowd instantly fell down on their knees, before hitting their foreheads against the hard tiles of the stone floor of the city!

"Bonger… What is happening…"

Slowly backing out, I couldn"t help but take this strange reason as some kind of high-level technique that one of the protectors called by the former sect leader of the goose sect summoned in his very last moments!

But no matter how one looked at it, what kind of idiotic technique would require one to be praised almost as if one was a d.a.m.ned G.o.d?!

Initially startled, I hoped that this strange event was just some kind of mistake or at least a local custom that I have heard nothing about so far, yet even after changing locations while attempting to reach the goose sect"s library opening back in Monica"s mansion, more and more people continued to kowtow in front of my legs!

What was even more surprising, was that after some point, not only the civilians bothered to lower their heads all the way to the ground before me, but even the cultivators themselves started to prostrate to me whenever I moved!

At this point, it wasn"t funny or immersive. Rather than being praised by something I was completely oblivious about, I would much rather know just what the heck was this entire situation announcing!

"Bonger, any ideas?"

While initially, I didn"t want to tackle this possibility, but as my attempts to explain he root of this situation continued to fail over and over again, I had no other way than to address the elephant in the room.

"Well, yeah? After all, I"m the one who caused it. Aren"t you happy?"

Rather than denying the loose guess that appeared in my head, Bonger outright admitted to the responsibility for this entire event!

"Wait, if it was your doing, mind telling me what the h.e.l.l is this all about? What did you do? Or rather, more importantly, why did you do it?"
