It Seems Senior Brother Jun Has Received the Worst of It

At this moment, out of the horizon suddenly appeared two dark clouds of ink. From a distance came sharp piercing cries.

A woman’s figure flew in front of the two dark clouds and arrived at the top of the cliff, shouting: “Everyone get out of the way!”

It was Ji KeQing’s voice.

Wen Jing was delighted.

Using a giant eagle, one would have the ability to find the hidden cold pool and also the chance to find the “Distant Wood spirit stone”.  With the “Distant Wood¹”, Jun YanZhi’s cultivation of his long-lost wood restoration technique would be able to finally break through his bottleneck. He had learned this set of techniques so that in the future if there was a time where the people of Zhu Feng country ended up in a bad situation, then at that time he would be able to step forward and save them.

In short, Wen Jing couldn’t afford to bear the consequences of this series of b.u.t.terfly effects that he had caused.

Whether or not the country of Zhu Feng would be able to survive in the future depended on these two black beasts.

These two giant eagles had been raised by the master of Eight Winds cliff before he had ascended into the spirit realm. They were already thousands of years old and their cultivation had reached the middle of the gold core stage. Even the peak masters of Qing Xu sword sect may not be their opponents. They did not like outsiders to come to Eight Winds cliff and were easily provoked into fighting. When angered they would throw their victims into the cold pool to fend for themselves.

Ji KeQing dropped to the top of the cliff. Rolling a few times, she raised the sword in her hands and gritted her teeth.

As it turned out, during the time that the w.a.n.g Yue peak delegation had sought the spirit stone, they had provoked those giant eagles. Ji KeQing had a very strong personality and had offended this pair of black beasts, thus she had ended up being relentlessly chased. Continually catching and releasing Ji KeQing, they played with her like a cat playing with a mouse. It was intolerable.

Two inky black clouds turned in a flash to hover over the heads of the three individuals. When their wings unfolded, they were four to five zhang long and big enough to blot out the sun. Their ear-piercing cries resounded through everyone’s head and rattled their brains.

All of a sudden, a huge black shadow came down and dragged the four people into the fray. Wings bringing a strong gale, their bodies were tossed around. All of a sudden, Wen Jing was caught by a bone breaking strength, lifted into the air, and carried away into the sky. Huge claws held his body so tightly he could not move at all.

“Junior brother!” Jun YanZhi’s voice was urgent.

The giant eagle grasped Wen Jing with one set of claws and with the other reached for Ji KeQing with the intention to seize them both. Dizzy and light headed from the eagle’s movements, Wen Jing turned his head back to see the sword in Jun YanZhi’s hand suddenly emit an intense light blue light as he slashed at the giant eagle’s claws.

The eagle’s claws immediately let go of Ji KeQing only to grab at Jun YanZhi.

“Senior brother, be careful!”

In a flash, the eagle seized Jun YanZhi in its claws and flew into the air.

His body being held painfully tight, Wen Jing could only see Jun YanZhi out of the corner of his eye as the cold wind whistled in his ears. He could only listen as the other said soothingly said in a warm unhurried voice: “Junior brother, don’t be afraid.”

“I’m not afraid!” Wen Jing’s heart beat wildly.

The novel had written that the giant eagle had been gradually tamed by the master of Eight Winds Cliff over many years and even if it was unhappy, it would rarely take another person’s life.

Suddenly, the giant eagle dove straight down. Wen Jing squeezed his eyes shut as he was released. Before he could use his wind manipulation technique he fell into the water with a splash.

Wen Jing couldn’t hear anything as the biting cold of the water rushed into his ears.

The water here was somewhat strange.

There was a somewhat stinging sensation that itched and tingled. In Wen Jing’s mind there appeared a scene. Lu YunFei’s² face looking very kindly then suddenly turning malevolent as it rushed into his body.

Wen Jing angrily grabbed his own arm, trying to drag Lu YunFei out of his body.

This b.a.s.t.a.r.d who had tried to rob him of his body, how was he not dead? a.s.suming that amiable, kind appearance but all he had in mind was killing him. No, no, he had to kill him, kill him……

Wen Jing pulled out his sword and mercilessly stabbed towards his own abdomen.

Suddenly, the arm that was holding the small sword was grabbed and someone held him tight.

The man seemed to say something but Wen Jing couldn’t make it out as he madly lashed out. I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you……

Then, his mouth was blocked and a soothing warm currently slowly entered.

Spiritual energy entered his body and soaked like warm water into every bone and limb. Incomparably comfortable, even the intolerable restlessness gradually faded away.  Finally, Wen Jing’s movements slowed and he stared blankly.

……senior brother?

Their bodies immersed within the water of the lake, only their wet heads were exposed above the water’s surface.

His mouth was occupied by the other person.

Reason gradually returned and Wen Jing blushed hotly as he stared at the person in front of him, his body a little rigid.

What was going on?

Spiritual energy continued to pour into his mouth. Wen Jing’s tongue was warmed by the stream of energy. The intense sensation almost felt like…… being kissed.

He felt the urge to cry without tears.

Wasn’t it impossible for this guy to pa.s.s energy by mouth? Protagonist, what happened to you? Did you forget the script?!

He was well aware that Senior Brother Jun wouldn’t do unnecessary things. He was merely very focused in providing a.s.sistance. You see, his tongue was carefully in its proper place, his movements were well mannered, and there wasn’t the slightest trace of impropriety. As the provider of the spiritual energy, it was unlikely that he was experiencing something similar and feeling this intense sensation.

Thus this reaction to his a.s.sistance was all in Wen Jing’s fevered mind.

Grieved at heart, Wen Jing closed his eyes. No matter what, he would do his best to endure receiving this stream of energy. By the time it had ended, the feeling had been so real that it was almost as if he also felt a tongue sweep in and out as it briefly explored the opening of his mouth.

Finally, both sets of lips separated and Wen Jing was pulled ash.o.r.e by Jun YanZhi. Red as a beet and wanting to cover his mouth he stammered: “Thank, thank you very much, senior brother, for your rescue.”

Jun YanZhi lowered his gaze and said mildly: “It’s good you’re alright.”

Wen Jing didn’t know what to say. Scratching his head as he looked down, he felt a little awkward.

Jun YanZhi’s right arm was soaked with blood. Even though it had been washed by the water, it was still bleeding.

“When were you hurt?”

“It’s minor, don’t worry about it.” Jun YanZhi indifferently glanced over and then sat down.

Wen Jing immediately understood.

Just then when he’d gone a little mad, he must have accidentally stabbed him with his sword. If he had not quickly been brought to his senses, would he have suffered more serious injuries?

This person would rather sustain injuries in order to help another person. Dwelling on whether he had or had not been kissed was very small minded.

Speaking of which, they were both men…… when comparing appearance and temperament, it seemed that Senior Brother Jun had suffered the greater loss……

Thinking this, Wen Jing couldn’t help feeling guilty as he raised his head to look at him.

“Senior Brother Jun……”

“Hmm?” Jun YanZhi bowed his head to look at him.

While they were silently looking at each other, not far away came the loud splash as two objects fell into the water.

They turned their heads at the same time and saw a man and a woman struggling in the pool.

“Second senior brother!” Wen Jing cried out.

Jun YanZhi bit his lip tightly pursing his mouth.

Wen Jing rushed over to take a look.

The cold pond was a secluded place. No one knew its location. Wen Jing had originally planned as a last resort to find the location of the cold pond and then bring someone to look for the “distant wood spirit stone”. However, now that the giant eagle had brought two more people here, things couldn’t have turned out for the better.

Sure enough, Ji KeQing had begun to suffer from the effects. The expression on her face changed as she suddenly pulled out her sword.

He Ling gritted his teeth with irritation and lunged forward to grasp Ji KeQing’s wrist.

Just then, something swam within the water at great speed, giving off a light yellow glow.

Wen Jing’s eyes brightened as he put on an act to ask: “Senior Brother Jun, what was that in the water just now?”

Jun YanZhi softly spoke: “I saw it……something’s wrong.”

I’m not really certain of this translation. It’s possible this should be profound or greater wood instead. This was the grandfather from the beginning of the story.

This may appeal to no one, but  is very good. Not bl, zero romance, and mmo fan fiction on top of that, but I like it a lot. It’s an archive of a forum game where the author sets up the plot and the forum posters make suggestions on what to do next, then the author posts the next section, more suggestions, etc. Strong silent hill vibe and very silly in the beginning then all of a sudden you get hit with the plot. Since it’s World of Warcraft based, a lot of the references might go over the heads of those who’ve never played, but I think the story is good enough to overlook that.
