She wanted to go to her quarter soon, so she decided to take a shortcut. The shortcut happened to be through thickets. She made her way through the thickets when she heard someone"s footsteps behind her.She thought it as some small animals running here and there but she soon realized the rhythm of the footsteps. Each footstep had its own pace, similar to her. It was like a dance step, each dancer following a rhythm in harmony. Alyssa stopped to look back. The footsteps stopped too. She took three steps and again heard it, the steps that synchronized with her. She turned around, it was dark so she couldn"t figure out much but she knew in her heart that it was not her delusion, someone was following her. She had a taser ring made just for herself. She pulled the taser ring from her jeans pocket and wore it on her middle finger of right hand. She quickly started moving forward, trying to lose her stalkers.
She concentrated on the number of feet approaching her. Based on subtle sounds that each person produces while walking, Alyssa guessed that there are at least four people following her. She panicked. She could one of them with her taser. If she is lucky, she could take two people down with her. But what about four? She didn"t know what to do. The best way to escape from this danger was to run. And she did that. She ran with all her might. Footsteps behind her also became aggressive. Now she could hear them shouting,
"Catch that bi**h"
"d.a.m.n how could she run so fast."
"Shut up and run."
"If you lose her today, I will kill you all."
Alyssa found the voice of the fourth one familiar. But she had no recollection of it. She had no time to think about the familiarity of the voice. All she wanted was to run and be safe. She focused on running and getting away from them. She could see the light of quarters peeking from the gaps of the trees. Alyssa knew she was close very close from escaping away from the grips of her stalkers. Adrenalin pumped up in her veins and she started running much faster. But soon she felt a heavy breathing just beside her ears. Alyssa turned in that direction but before she can see anything, someone struck hard on her back.
Alyssa lost her balance and fell face-first on the floor. She was very, very close to the entrance of thicket.
Alyssa tried to stand up from the ground but a kick landed on her back completely making her sprawl on the ground. She heard the footsteps of the remaining members approaching her. She tilted her head sideways in their direction. She could see three grown men looming over her. They were taking deep breaths, tired from running.
One of them saw Alyssa seeing them and felt enraged. He kicked on her face and said, "What are you looking at bi**h." Alyssa yelped in pain.
The man pulled her up from the ground. Alyssa struggled to stand up straight. But the man kicked at her knees making her collapse on the floor. He came near her and yanked her hairs from behind, making her face him. He smirked. He licked her cheeks and gleefully said, "She is a looker. Thank you for giving her to us Jacob."
Hearing this name Alyssa froze. She turned her head swiftly to look towards the man in question but felt a painful tug in her head.
Jacob crouched down in front of her and said, "You are to blame Alysssa for your misfortune. I had warned you. Haven"t I?"
Alyssa stared at Jacob angrily.
Jacob turned towards the other three men and said, "She is all yours. You can have her anytime you want. Keep her as long as you want. Discard her however you want. I hope my debt is clear."
The man that was gripping Alyssa"s head stood up from the ground and shook Jacob"s hand and said, "Of course. You are free."
Jacob turned and left Alyssa with three perverted men.
Alyssa knew she was in danger.
"Man, first let us have her here first. I can"t control myself. Her face is making me crazy."
"Yeah, I can"t hold for any longer too." The second man said.
"Alright, you two go ahead, I have a call to make. I will be back in a minute. The man, which Alyssa thought as to be the leader of the group, left them.
Alyssa knew it was the moment of "now or never". There are two people in front of her and she is very close to her house. She is at advantage here. However slim the chance may be, its still a chance.
As the two men approached her, Alyssa stood from the ground and kicked the first man below his beltline. Everything happened so fast that they were unable to comprehend the situation. She turned and tasered another man and started running towards her quarter. But before she could take a single step she felt a tug on her leg and she fell down.
The leader heard the commotion and came back. He saw one of his men lying on the ground unconscious and other growing in pain. He roared in anger and lunged towards Alyssa, pinning her on the ground. He started to tear down her clothes haphazardly. He pinned her hands above her head and smirked, "Now not so strong, are we."
Alyssa struggled to get away from him, but he was so strong that she couldn"t move even an inch. She felt her hands running on her bare thighs. She cringed. She felt like dying. She felt so hopeless and lost that she didn"t know what to do. All she could think was death. Yes, death.
She wanted him to die. She wanted Jacob to die. She wanted Violet to die. She was furious. She started shaking. The leader"s hand stopped moving around her body. He looked upwards to see trees bending low to the ground. The trees split into two, some of the branches falling in front of him. Scared, he got up from Alyssa"s body and looked around him. The wind was howling around them. The dead leaves of the ground were now swirling in the wind. They couldn"t see anything around them. Thunder shook the ground and lightning ripped the sky in two. Everywhere was chaos.
Alyssa rose from the ground and screamed. Her scream so loud that it uprooted the trees around her from the ground. She felt something strange like electricity running in her veins.
Another ear-piercing thunder rang in the sky, followed by a jab of lightning which entered through three bodies, burning and killing them instantly.
The air turned back to its original silent form. The leaves of trees became still. The dirt and dead leaves landed on the ground. The atmosphere turned silent. Alyssa stood from the ground and gave one glance at her surrounding and three burning dead bodies. Adjusting her clothes and picking her bag pack from the ground, she went towards her quarter.
