(Quincy"s POV)

Later that day...

"So you"re saying you met your wife, but you don"t know anything about her?"

Jazz looked at me like I was monkey in a circus.

"Yes," I answered with a blooming smile. "Don"t you see that there"s a hole in my left chest? She took my heart from our first "h.e.l.lo"".

A house would fit in Jazz"s mouth with how much his mouth was left wide open from my poetic moment. I"m no cold-blooded novel CEO, but I"m no Shakespeare either.

"Ok. When do you plan on getting to know her? She might not even like you. Heck! You don"t even have her number."

I had thought about that all day. My wife was currently "enstranged" and I had no way to contact her. One would think granny would have helped out, but I just stubbornly had to sound cool and give an unreasonable "I"ll meet her in my own way" speech.

"Don"t worry. I"m sure we"ll meet soon. If we don"t, I"ll just have to go through a detective".

Jazz was over this conversation. He rolled his eyes at me so bad, I was starting to think I"d never see his iris again.

Jazz Fulton has been my best friend since high school. He"s a 28-year old bar owner with a wild personality. He keeps me grounded in this lonely city.

I was still in a daze when I felt something familiar next to me. My first reaction? "Oh no, not today"

"Hi Quinn darling. Miss me?". There it was, that sultry tone that sends chills down my spine.

"It"s Quincy, Dave. Would you keep your hormone-dripping boyfriend away from me Jazz?"

"What? He just appreciates what he sees. Isn"t that right, honey?"

They both exchanged seductive looks which was a cue for the start of their PDA. I couldn"t help but think, "Yup, I need to find my wife ASAP".

After a round of good beer and avoiding Dave"s touch, I handed Jazz his tie and he loved it. We parted for the day, and I headed home to continue my daydream.
