This is a page from the almanac of demons written by the great wizard Sofós. It gives a detailed description of the demons that have been seen so far, so for now it is just 3 entries that will be presented.

IMP

Even if it is the second lowest rank demon, higher than the floating eye, it is not to be trifled with. Most Imps have blue skin and are generally short, roughly the size of a human child. While there are some rare variations that have red skin and even wings, those are called greater Imps. This variation is more common so it took the Imp name. They have a single eye and a crooked nose, have goblin like ears and possess a short tail. Their arms are generally longer than their hooved legs. Their strength is unreasonable, being able to carry things 3 times their height without difficulty. Like all demons they have a mental effect, which when activated causes guilt in the target to surface in the form of voices. Those who have experienced heavy pasts are not adviced to fight these creatures. They are relatively easy to kill if you can avoid its blows. Some imps have been able to use machinations that are far from our current scientific stage, but these are known as Steampunk Imps and are incredibly rare.

GARGOYLE

A step higher than the imp in rank, but around 3/4 of their size, these creatures are made of solid stone, making blunt weapons the best choice against them. They possess flight, which we"ve attributed to magic as their bodies are too heavy for it to be anything else. Some researchers believe that they are a subspecies of imp, but have failed to explain the relationship. Larger, magic adept version have been found, and have been named Greater Gargoyles. They generally look like small devils, and lack a tail though Greaters have one present. They have a mental effect, which brings up a moment of joy in the targets mind, and while the target is in bliss they would strike. They are usually found in stone ruins, where they blend in seamlessly.

OGRE

Originally called Monster Cyclops, the name was changed after the human-cyclops great war, which was caused when humans refused to believe that the two were not related. The cyclopes took offence and decided that humans were calling them monsters, even though the only difference was the number of eyes. Eventually I stepped in and showed evidence to the two sides that the demon wasn"t related. The human king apologised to the cyclops emperor but relations are now strained. Back to the ogre. It is a complete monster, easily overtaking a full grown adult in height and weight. It possesses one true eye, like all demons except the 16. It has extremely thick fat, which serves a a form of "meat armor". They come in a variety of colors, but most are blue, green, purple and orange. Their arms are always orange though. Black ogres are rare, but insanely strong compared to others. Ogres can command imps, floating eyes and gargoyles, though how they do this is unknown. They have a mental effect, which makes them grom a centimeter of muscle and a milimeter taller for every one creature that fears it. An event once occured when a whole town was attacked and the ogre grew to the size of a church. Fortunately, this mental effect has a time limit of 5 minutes, and a rest period of 2 hours, so it shouldn"t use it until it"s cornered. For killing it, I recommend attacking a specific spot like the eye or throat until the wound is deep enough, then let it bleed out. Be aware that some use armor and weapons, though these are cla.s.sified as Brute Ogres.
