Every World Seems Not Quite Right – Chapter 1 Who can understand the feeling of looking in the mirror and seeing yourself with green hair and wearing smoky makeup?
Shao Qian was organising the system data, however he felt as if something was not quite right. It was as if the data wasn’t complete, and the main data that had been lost wasn’t little?
Shao Qian never had contact with the system data source before. He also didn’t know specifically what had happened or what data was lost too. So, he could only a.s.sume that when he devoured the system, some data was lost.
Shao Qian finally finished organising the data properly but didn’t know which world he should go to, and had casually caught a fading world near him in the Xinghai s.p.a.ce.
After arriving in the world and receiving the system transmission of the plot, Shao Qian was speechless. How was this a small world? In accordance to present terms, this should called, the sc.u.m villain was defeated, so Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after together, kind of story.
The female lead has a group of outrageous relatives, yeah, this was an essential tool for her. The female lead has a gambling father, yeah, this was also an essential tool. The female lead also has an ignorant and incompetent younger brother who only knows how to mingle on the streets, yeah, this can also be considered to be an essential tool?
It was just that, his current ident.i.ty was precisely that of the female lead’s ignorant and incompetent younger brother that only knows how to mingle on the streets.
In the plot, because he didn’t get any money from the female lead, he got people to kidnap her. In the end, he was unsuccessful in demanding money from the male lead, who at that time, was already his brother-in-law. He had then instructed two other hoodlums, planning on tarnishing his own sister. Finally, it went without saying that he had been caught red-handed by the male lead who had promptly rushed over. But because he was unrepentant about what he did, in the midst of the struggle, the male lead’s bodyguard had ‘accidentally’ hit him in his vitals, leading to his death.
As for the female lead who lost her younger brother, since she didn’t feel much affection towards this brother, she had casually found a place and buried his body. In the end, the female lead’s father, who didn’t have much presence in the plot until now, dug ‘him’ out and brought him away.
Seeing this deceptive plot, Shao Qian cursed the system. How did it choose such a terrible place? This kind of world without three views or logic, how did it even come about?!
The female lead was pitiful and helpless, like the bitter cauliflower that grows in the winter. She was bullied by her family; by her father and her brother. However, when the pair of siblings were younger, the father didn’t just walk away from the problem. From time to time, he would leave behind some money to be the siblings’ living expenses.
However, in the original’s memories, whenever they received the money, his elder sister wouldn’t return home for one to two days. The original had been starving hungrily, and had drank plenty of water to try appease his hunger. But, for developing children, what use did drinking water have? As for the original, from a young age, he grew to be as thin as frail as a bean sprout.
Later on, the female lead entered university. The original owner should have entered high school, however, he had instead gotten acquainted with a street gangster, ‘Brother Hairy’ under the female lead’s meticulous guidance. The corruption started at that moment, the original owner gradually became more and more corrupt and gradually started diverging off his original path bit by bit.
Shao Qian finished reading the plot, gently ma.s.saging the pounding pain in his temples. How bad was his luck, that he actually picked this world, out of all others?
However, even if this world didn’t conform with logic, he had already arrived. So, he might as well figure out where the plot had progressed till, in order to think of a way to confront that moronic woman.
When Shao Qian had arrived in this world, the female lead had barely started to work at the male lead’s company. Furthermore, his father still had some money left, and should be going off to gamble again. As for him…
Shao Qian tilted his head towards the floor, looking down at the shirt full of metal spikes and placed a weary hand on his forehead. The original seemed to have worn this sort of clothes till he died? It made him think of his past when he had fought viciously for his life, being sent repeatedly to many worlds by the system, yet somehow didn’t die.
Searching through the room of the rebellious child, he flipped the room upside down in the process, before he found a set of clothes that could be seemed somewhat regular. That is, if only there wasn’t a hideously grinning skull printed on the black T-shirt.
Changing his clothes, Shao Qian faced the mirror to tidy up his appearance. Only for him to see a youth in his early teens, whose hair was dyed green and standing erect with hair gel, moreover he was also wearing smoky makeup around his eyes…….
This feeling was simply devastating. If you were man, could you ignore the fact that your hair was dyed green? Didn’t men not tolerate having anything green above their heads?
“Sigh…” Shao Qian pulls out scattered bits and pieces of banknotes from the drawer before walking out. Right now, without delay, he should first take care of his green hair along with buying himself new clothes.
Shao Qian who wore makeup and had head full of green hair entered the hairdresser’s. After a few hours, a neat and tidy youth came out. With a delicate doll face and a crew cut, he walked nimbly out of the store. Behind him, the hairdresser followed him out, clutching the received money in his hands as he stared dumbfounded at Shao Qian’s retreating back. He just couldn’t understand. What could make such a lovable child don that bear-like look?
Shao Qian didn’t care about whatever thoughts the hairdresser had. After tidying himself up, he held the remaining money, a mere forty-three yuan, in his hand and ran off towards a clothing store. Depending on his lovable appearance and eloquent tongue (acting cute shamelessly), he got a pair of clothes, a T-shirt and jeans, that he deemed normal. Before he left, the shopkeeper’s wife also gifted him a men’s vest, a beaming smile on her face.
Shao Qian returned to the apartment building and was about to pull out his key to open the door. However, his hand wasn’t even able to touch the key when the door swung open. A sloppy-looking man staggered out tipsily, but was stunned when he caught sight of the youth standing in the doorway, “Ah Yun?”
Shao Qian was able to smell the putrid odor of alcohol clinging to the man’s body and couldn’t help but take a step back. Could it be, that the man stopped being a gambling addict but switched to being a drunkard instead?
“Ah Yun, don’t go!” The drunk man abruptly sat on the ground, wailing, “You don’t know that after you left, that brat cried everyday, asking time and time again for his mother. I can’t even find you, how should I get him a mother? So, I hid outside, but who’d knew that the brat was lacking discipline, he changed to become so terrible! Come back please, I really can’t teach that gangster child, he goes out to mingle around with others daily, I really…”
“Dad…” Shao Qian was at a loss, and could only ask helplessly, “Who’s Ah Yun?”
Upon hearing his words, the man stopped wailing. Standing up, he moved closer towards Shao Qian, staring at him. After a moment, the man suddenly grabbed at Shao Qian’s crotch area with his right hand. The man was dazed, Shao Qian was also just as shocked. After getting over their respective surprise, Shao Qian slapped the man, causing him to let go, “Pervert.”
Shao Qian fled into the house, and with a ‘bang!’, shut his room door. The man came out of his daze at the sound of the closing door. Clinging to the door, he howled, “Son! Your father was wrong! Hurry up and open the door!”
It’d have to be a miracle if Shao Qian opened the door. He had just arrived and yet was hara.s.sed by a sloppy old man. If he didn’t take necessary precautions for the future…
Who the h.e.l.l would be able to guard against a surprise attack from an old man? Shao Qian, towards this father, almost threw up a mouthful of blood from anger.
Upon arriving home, Zhang Qing saw a man lying outside her house entrance. She had just thought of going over to find out the situation when the man looked up. Catching sight of her, he stood up, “Girl, hurry up and open the door.”
When Zhang Qing saw it was her father, she wasn’t relieved. Instead, she became even more anxious. However, she still opened the door and let the man in.
Upon seeing the opened door, Zhang GuoQiang rushed in. Heading towards his son’s room, he knocked on the door, “Son, listen to your father, daddy didn’t do it on purpose just now.”
Shao Qian saw it was still early, but already intended to go to bed. Who would’ve known that when he was in the middle of sleeping peacefully, he would be rudely awakened by the knocking on his door. No matter who, anyone who had been rudely awakened wouldn’t be in a good mood. Gripping the handle, he pulled the door open and roared, “What the h.e.l.l are you doing?!”
When Zhang GuoQiang saw his son’s angry appearance, he laughed sheepishly, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth, “Daddy misses you.”
“I don’t miss you.” Actually, Shao Qian didn’t hold much dislike towards Zhang GuoQiang. After all, when ‘he’ had died, it was this father that had dug him out and brought him away. Although, he didn’t know where he had been brought to,at the very least, it could be regarded as saving him from becoming a wandering ghost, right?
“Son, before it was your father who was wrong, you…”
“You know you’re not correct but still don’t amend.” In the plot, Zhang ZiHui was a rebellious teenager. On ordinary days, his att.i.tude towards his own family wasn’t too good. That’s why, right now, Shao Qian’s face was cold as he looked at Zhang GuoQiang, “Look at your own sloppy appearance. Also, how long has it been since you bathed? I can smell the stink radiating off you from here.”
After listening to Shao Qian’s words, would Zhang GuoQiang be able to endure it? In fact… he actually did. He sniffed himself before turning to face Shao Qian, smiling apologetically, “Son, wait for a bit.”
