Chapter 1
I am a princess.
No, no, no, not the kind of princess that lived in a nightclub, but the type of princess that lived in a palace, whose father was the king and mother was the queen, who requires a prince that defeats a dragon to save her.
I was currently waiting for the dragon to s.n.a.t.c.h me away.
You ask me, how I knew there would be a dragon coming to s.n.a.t.c.h me away?
I simply knew, because this was what I’ve been told since I was a child.
When I was very young, someone touched my hair and praised me, “look, this princess is so beautiful, she’s born to be a s.n.a.t.c.hed away by a dragon.”
I stood up straight and proud and listened to my empress mother’s modest reply, “oh, no, no.”
The man who praised me said with a straight face, “she’s beautiful everywhere.”
When I grew up, I worked hard to learn about society… oh, no, feudal cultural knowledge, because I wanted to become a qualified successor to the royal family.
But everybody around me said tenderly and with affection, “you’re a girl, you don’t have to work so hard.”
I asked doubtfully, “what do I need to do then?”
Everyone told me in unison, “wait for the dragon to s.n.a.t.c.h you away.”
“After that?”
“After that, there will be a prince to save you.”
“And after that?”
“You can live a happy life. When the prince becomes a king, you can be a queen consort.”
I thought about it for a bit, and then asked, “why can’t I defeat the dragon myself and then become the king?”
All of them looked at me in amazement, “how could you come up with such an idea?”
I tried to fight for myself, “I am good at riding a horse, my archery is superb, I can also help my Emperor Father deal with problems, I’m very impressive.”
Everyone laughed, “what’s the use of that? There’s no dragon coming after you to s.n.a.t.c.h you away. Don’t think about becoming a king, no princess has ever done this. You just have to wait for the dragon, that’s enough.”
So, I compromised.
I thought, since no princesses had ever done such a thing before, then I’ll follow the rules and wait the dragon to s.n.a.t.c.h me away.
I waited, waited, and waited for a long time, but no dragons came to s.n.a.t.c.h me away.
The people in the palace said that it was because I was too strong, so no dragon dared to s.n.a.t.c.h me away.
I was so angry that the very next day I used face powder to lighten my face by seven times, hid an onion in my sleeve, stood on the wall and walked back and forth, every three steps a wheeze, every fifth step a tear.
I ddin’t believe, could a dragon still not come and s.n.a.t.c.h me?
Chapter 2
After I had walked on the wall for fifteen days, and the onion in my sleeve had changed seven times, the dragon finally came.
It was a beautiful golden dragon, covered in glittering scales. When he flew across the sky, the residents of the city screamed and fled in terror.
Only I looked at him with expectation.
He’s coming, he’s flying towards me!
I was so excited that I squeezed the onions in my sleeves and prepared to cover my face to start weeping at any time.
He landed!
He turned into a teen!
He was extremely good looking. His eyes were round, big and bright, his eyelashes were long and curled, fluttering like a pair of small fans. His lips were red and rosy, like the petals of a rose. His golden hair was absolutely beautiful in the sunlight.
He didn’t look like a dragon, but more like a prince.
No, I’ve never seen a prince as beautiful as him.
I stared at him, thinking, that being s.n.a.t.c.hed by such a beautiful dragon would help my reputation quite a bit.
When I returned to the palace, I would definitely have to make an announcement to show off!
My G.o.d!
He’s walking towards me!!
I wanted to laugh three hundred times towards the sky. Finally, the dragon I waited for the s.n.a.t.c.h me away is here!!!!!
He stopped in front of me.
I looked at him with antic.i.p.ation.
He looked a little nervous, his face was red, and there was even a sheen of water in his pair of jewel-like eyes.
If it wasn’t for the timing and location, I would have wanted to take him into my arms and comfort him.
But no, I had to let him s.n.a.t.c.h me away first.
He reached into his sleeve.
I felt that he was planning to take out a rope, to tie me up and take me away.
I couldn’t wait!
Then I watched as he pulled out a bottle of water, handed it to me, and stuttered in a with a soft and sweet voice, “big…… big sis…… you…… can you help me unscrew this cap?”
I crushed the onion, “what did you say?”
Maybe my expression was too ferocious, and he looked like he was about to be frightened to tears. He trembled and asked, “can’t…… can’t unscrew it?”
Chapter 3
I had walked back and forth like a security guard on the wall every day, holding an onion and making delicate gasps, just for this day.
As a result, he came just to ask me to help him unscrew a cap???
I stared at him and gritted my teeth.
He carefully retracted his hand, “if…… if you…… if you can’t, it’s fine, I’ll find another person.”
I grabbed his bottled and easily unscrewed it for him. Handing it back to him, I said a little rudely, “okay, unscrewed it, here.”
He took it and smiled.
Dammit.
This dragon has a dimple.
His smiles looked like a soft piece of candy.
How frustrating.
It’s fine even if me, a princess, had to help him unscrew a cap, but I still don’t look as cute as him when he smiles.
With him like this, if he s.n.a.t.c.hes me away, just who would be taking advantage of who?
I was so irritated that I walked in circles, but when I looked up, I saw him doubtfully smelling the bottle.
“What are you doing?”
He took a few small breaths at a time, frowned slightly, and was a little embarra.s.sed when he said, “I don’t know why, but I seem to smell something pungent.”
A pungent smell……
I secretly squeezed the broken onion in my sleeve, and took the chance to sneakily throw it down the wall when he wasn’t paying attention. Making a couple of dry coughs, I righteously said, “maybe the drink went bad?”
He obediently went ‘oh’, but still looked a little confused.
I quickly shifted the topic, “you are a dragon, have you ever s.n.a.t.c.hed a princess?”
He finally shifted his attention from the bottle of water and shook his head, “no. But, I came out this time to find a princess.”
My eyes lit up, “I’m a princess!”
His eyes widened and he exclaimed in a soft voice, “you’re a princess?”
“What do you mean by this? Do I not look like a princess?”
He hurriedly waved his hand, “no, no, it’s just that I’ve never seen a princess. My father said, princesses are all very beautiful.”
Then, he added, “my father said, they are all much more beautiful compared to me.”
I: “……”
I felt as if I’ve been tactfully looked down upon.
Chapter 4
Although I felt that I had been looked down upon, but looking at his face, I couldn’t say anything to refute it.
I could only lower my voice and discuss with him, “look, you need to s.n.a.t.c.h a princess. I’m a princess. And I need a dragon to s.n.a.t.c.h me, you are that dragon. We’ll work together and you can s.n.a.t.c.h me away, then both of our tasks are finished.”
He hesitated, “but…… but……”
I said in a resolute and decisive matter, “there is no but! Quickly s.n.a.t.c.h me away!”
His face turned red as he lowered his head and said, “but, I can’t carry you.”
I: “……”
Buddy, a 168cm lady who weighs 50kg, is really that heavy?
Ah?
I asked in despair, “can’t you carry me in your dragon form?”
He shook his head and whispered, “we only carry our partners in our dragon form.”
Although I really wanted to say ‘I’ll be your partner’, but I looked and his face and swallowed this sentence back.
Forget it.
It’s just walking, isn’t it?
Couldn’t I just walk?
I found a rope and handed it to him, “hurry up, tie me up.”
He was dumbfounded and asked, “why? Aren’t you come with me willingly?”
I told him with a straight face, “this is formalities, understand?”
He suddenly realised, and nodded his head like a little chicken pecking at seeds, “I get it, get it.”
He tied me up like I told him to, then sheepishly pulled the end of the rope, “then…… let’s go?”
I happily said, “go!”
It really wasn’t easy!
I’ve finally embarked on the road of being s.n.a.t.c.hed by a dragon.
I finally completed an important part of my life’s mission.
I was moved to tears, and I wanted to look back at this city I grew up in.
Eh?
How did he get behind me?
The dragon youth looked up and panted, and said to me with tears in his eyes, “big sis, can you go slower? I can’t keep up.”
Chapter 5
For a moment, I fell into a bit of a trance. I thought that perhaps, by the time I returned, I could have changed the story that had been pa.s.sed down through the ages.
Change it to the princess stealing a dragon.
After some distance, I looked at the slow dragon, and finally felt some impatience.
“You, come here!”
The dragon youth tried his best to run to me, “sis…… big sis.”
With a harsh jerk, I broke the rope, took hold of the youth’s waist, and held him in my arms.
Holy s.h.i.t!
He’s so light!
And also especially soft!
Okay, I forgave him for saying that he couldn’t carry me.
The dragon youth covered his mouth, his ears were red as he stammered, “sis…… big…… big sis, what are you doing?”
I held him and strode forward, satisfied with this speed. Casually replying him, I said, “you’re too slow, so I’ll hold you and walk. Do you know where there’s a prince?”
The dragon youth pointed in one direction.
I looked at his outstretched fingers.
Snowy white, delicate, slender, straight and even.
I looked at my hand that was holding him.
……
Forgot it, no need to look.
Dragons and people have their own strengths, comparing would only bring frustration.
The dragon youth whispered, “I know a country, and heard they had a prince.”
My heart was ready, “that one then.”
Holding the dragon youth, I took big strides and inquired about the situation on the way, “do you know the prince?”
He shook his head, “no.”
“Then do you know if he’s good looking?”
“Should be good.”
When the dragon youth said this, he seemed a little hesitant, so I asked him, “what’s the matter?”
He said, “I heard that this prince likes to wear beautiful dresses and long hairs, and often holds flowers and cry, and would feel uncomfortable because he slept on a pea.”
He said, “I originally planned to go to that country to s.n.a.t.c.h him.”
……
My face was expressionless as I stopped, turned, and changed direction.
He asked me in surprise, “why aren’t you going anymore?”
“Nothing, do you know where else has a prince?”
