CHAPTER XIII

Victoria

My eyes widen when I saw the person who pulled me.

It’s certainly Victoria. She pulled me to the Groven. Because she’s a Sveta she’s strong. Causing me to stumble every time.

“Victoria I’m hurting.” I pleaded her. I don’t know why she’s like this. She looks so angry.

“Ugh.” She grips my hand by force causing me now to kneel in front of her. I feel at what she did cause wounds on my arms.

“What’s your plan?” She asked. I can’t read the expression on her face.

“What are you talking about?” I don’t really understand what’s happening.

“You think you can fool me? You already brainwashed Rhoanne, Aiden, and especially Claude!” She shouted. I look around to ask for help but couldn’t see a single soul there.

“Speak you filthy Gein!” The ground before me shook. She holds the power of Land that’s why she could do that.

“What are you thinking?” I desperately told her. Is the reason she’s thinking like that was because she thought I have some evil plan to the Majes?

“Don’t play dumb! You befriended them to get their sympathy because what only are you? You’re just a Scape!”

She raised her hand and the trees around us moved. So this one of her power. She could control trees.

A thin branch was aiming me. Because I was scared I covered myself with my bare arms unconsciously.

“Ahhh.” I felt the blood flow from my arm. So this is what I get if I continue mingling with the likes of Sveta. My wounds started to ache.

“I know you are the reason why Aiden got hurt! Now you’re playing Claude in your hands? If I learn that you did something again, the consequence will be your life!”

She walked away. It’s funny how she thinks that a person like me could hurt the Majes. Was she not thinking or is she just really dumb?

I wrap the wound in my right arm with my handkerchief. My uniform is now torn. I just covered the wound in my left with my hand because I couldn’t find any fabric to wrap it.

I thought if I get out of that place I wouldn’t be hurt again. I thought the outside world is better, but it looks like my life before and now is just the same.

My tears fell in succession. I feel pity for myself.

I’m so useless, I can’t even save myself.

This life sucks!

“Cenedy.” I heard a female voice calling me, it’s coming from inside the forest. Who’s that? I know that it’s not Clover or Rhoanne even. The voice is so new to me yet I feel like I had heard that voice.

“Cenedy don’t cry.” I felt a cold wind wrapped my skin. Especially the wounds in my arm. I felt comfortable and I felt light.

The cold wind increased more when I looked at my wound, the blood from there slowly disappear and the blood in my hands disappear.

I immediately touch my arm where the wounds were. I can’t feel the pain from there anymore. Who healed me?

From what I know, the wounds caused by Sveta would heal much longer especially if it’s a Maje.

It would need a strong Sceill to heal the wound faster that ‘s caused by a Maje.

“Who are you?” I ask. I don’t know she could hear me but I want to see her to confirm my suspicion.

“ACEIL!”

“ACEIL.”

I looked at my back, I only know one person who called me like that.

“Aceil, are you there? Who hurt you?”

I feel him getting closer.

“Stay right there.” He stopped walking because I couldn’t hear the footsteps anymore.

“Are you okay?” The concern is evident in his voice.

“I’m fine. I just trip because I ran earlier. Don’t worry.” I lied. He shouldn’t know what had happened because I know the tension between me and Victoria will just increase.

“Did you find anything about Jino?” I ask him trying to change the subject.

“Uh…Yes, Jinuesis Campbell or known as Jino. His master is Clover Anne Thompson. Jino’s family are known as being the best Guardians. Some of their family have even a Sveta master.” He informed me. I noticed that he really did his research.

“W…wait, Gein and Sveta? I thought it’s impossible?” So what Claude and I have is not really a new case.

“Uh… it’s rare but it’s possible. That the Guardian is a Gein and the Master is a Sveta. But what’s unheard is the Master is a Gein and his Guardian is a Sveta let alone a Maje. But I don’t care about those things.”

I had only learned about this things now.

But I should know why and what’s the reason.

“What do you want to know Aceil?” He asks me. I’m leaning on a tree now and I know he is behind me.

“I don’t get why Jino change when he discovered that Clover was his master. I don’t understand.” I honestly told him. I want Clover to be completely happy, I don’t want her to be hurting whenever he looks at Jino.

“He has to do that.” He said softly.

“Why? Weren’t they bestfriend?” I getting more confused at what Claude said. Is Claude a reliable source? Maybe he’s just fooling me?

“Did you read all the content of the Master’s guidebook?” He is asking me… about that, though I only read half.

“Just half of it and besides I’m still lazy to read the whole.” I heard him laugh softly.

“I’m sorry to inform you but they love each other.”

“What? Is that a bad thing? It’s not really that impossible because they are childhood friend and they are both handsome and beautiful.” I smiled. A guardian that will protect you not because of the call but because he love his master!

“It’s forbidden Aceil.” I was startled at what he said.

“Can you repeat what you said?” Did I hear it right?

“It’s written there, that if the Master will die, his Guardian will lose himself and will gradually die. But the situation will be reversed if they love each other. They will not produce offspring and if they are going to have an intercourse the Master will die.”

My jaw dropped at the new information that I received. If it’s like that, what will Jino and Clover do?

There’s a long silence between us. A deafening silence. Maybe both of us don’t know what to say now about their situation.

“Claude, I don’t want anyone to know that you’re my Guardian.”

“Is that an order from you?” I sense pain in his voice. But I think it’s just my imagination.

“Erm…yes.”

I heard footsteps and I know he’s walking away.

“Claude.” The sound of footsteps stopped.

“If you’re in Jino’s place, what will you do?” I’m looking at the sky, still thinking what I can do at the situation.

It took a while before he responded, but was startled at what he said.

“I don’t know, but I will do something for sure.”

With that he finally walk away.
