Chapter 19
Tang Xin Lian was anxious and annoyed, but he said he slipped and sprained his foot, so she couldn’t really flare up. She controlled her temper, only firmly pus.h.i.+ng him off so she could stand up.
“I’m really sorry, you didn’t get hurt did you?”
She awkwardly shook her head and hurriedly advised him, “You should go sit in the living room and leave the rest to me.”
“Your hair is disheveled.” He acted like he didn’t hear her, and proceeded to reach out to push aside a few strands of hair behind her ear, coincidentally touching her earlobe.
What he did was very justified; there was an appropriate reason for every time he touched her. This left Tang Xin Lian with no excuse, and she could only try her best to politely refuse him, keeping her complaints in her heart.
“Senior, you’re a guest. You don’t need to go through so much trouble.” While she said this, she tried to move back. Han Lun Yao however, used this opportunity to grab her wrist.
“Your hands have soap on them, you should just let me fix your hair for you!”
Tang Xin Lian was a little worried. She wanted to loudly refuse him, but senior Han showed an expression filled with good intentions to help her. It wasn’t nice to not give him face (respect), so she urgently tried to think of a reason to get him to leave. Luckily, the doorbell suddenly rang.
“Ah, it should be your younger sister bringing Cheng Cheng back.” She quickly pa.s.sed him and dashed through the living room to the door, using this as a pretext to separate herself from his entanglement.
Han Lun Yao frowned. He clearly told his little sister to bring Cheng Cheng back after 9:30. His objective today was to kiss her lips, and the mood was finally just right, but it was hatefully disrupted by the doorbell. He was really dissatisfied, and decided that he had to find a chance to scold his stupid younger sister.
Tang Xin Lian hastily opened the door, and couldn’t help but blankly stare.
The person standing outside her door went against her expectations. It was actually Lin Yu Fan? She was momentarily dumbfounded.
Lin Yu Fan was expressionless as he solemnly asked, “Can I come in?”
As Tang Xin Lian’s soul returned to her body, she promptly said, “Please come in.”
Lin Yu Fan went past her and entered the living room. His gaze swept the surroundings, and saw Han Lun Yao standing beside the sofa. He didn’t say anything as he casually walked towards the sofa and sat down.
“Can I trouble you for some hot water? Thanks.”
“Ah… okay.”
Tang Xin Lian headed to the kitchen to pour a gla.s.s of water, and Han Lun Yao immediately followed. He couldn’t help feeling a pang of jealousy towards the unexpected man who visited.
“Who is he?”
“He’s big brother Zhong’s friend.”
Hearing this, Han Lun Yao was stumped for words, and then he suddenly understood. “You mean… he’s also…”
Tang Xin Lian nodded, “Yeah.”
Although Han Lun Yao was originally full of anger in his heart, his brows smoothed over after he heard that that guy was Mr. Zhong’s boyfriend. But then he frowned again.
“Why is he here?”
“Probably to find big brother Zhong.” Although these words came from her lips, Tang Xin Lian felt it was kind of strange. Lin Yu Fan should know that big brother Zhong already left the country right?
Tang Xin Lian walked over to the living room with a gla.s.s of water, and gave it to Lin Yu Fan.
Lin Yu Fan took it, and after drinking a mouthful, he put the cup on the coffee table and just sat there.
His expression was stern, not smiling and not explaining why he came. He just blatantly sat in someone’s living room, looking like he had no intention of leaving.
There was suddenly an extra light bulb (3rd wheel), so Han Lun Yao wasn’t in a good mood, and he tried not to express it. Tang Xin Lian however was relieved. She didn’t know why Lin Yu Fan came over, but at least it saved her.
She sat down on the sofa next to Lin Yu Fan and was about to ask him what was the matter, but Lin Yu Fan broached the topic first.
“Who is he to you?” The “he” referred to Han Lun Yao.
Tang Xin Lian didn’t expect that he would ask this question, but she didn’t mind and honestly answered, “He’s my senior from college.”
“Boyfriend?”
“No.” Tang Xin Lian quickly waved her hand to deny it. She didn’t think that Lin Yu Fan would be so straightforward, and hurriedly emphasized, “We’re just friends.”
Her urgent att.i.tude to explain made Han Lun Yao embarra.s.sed. He didn’t even step up to the plate yet, and he was already eliminated. He couldn’t help but have a trace of anger towards Yu Fan.
He used his status, as Xin Lian’s senior, to ask in a somewhat impolite tone, “What did you come here for?”
Lin Yu Fan glanced over at him. Although it was a casual glance, it still held an imposing manner.
Receiving this look, Han Lun Yao instantly became somewhat timid, and pulled back. He didn’t know what to say as Lin Yu Fan intensely stared at him.
“Since he isn’t your boyfriend, why is he in your house this late at night, and also wearing a bathrobe?” As Lin Yu Fan asked this question, it carried a force that didn’t allow others room to retort. Tang Xin Lian could only obediently answer truthfully, explaining what happened from the beginning.
After Lin Yu Fan heard the whole story, he got up and walked over to Zhong Zhen Dong’s room, opening the wardrobe and taking out a set of sportswear. Then he went to the living room, and handed it over to Han Lun Yao.
