PRELUDE
Nearly a century has pa.s.sed since most of mankind started living in s.p.a.ce. However, the existence of the lush Earth floating in s.p.a.ce still allowed the existence of others that lived in idleness. Among them were two men who first fought as enemies, and then as comrades. They were men enthralled by one woman. Time pa.s.sed, and the two men lived in s.p.a.ce, each for their own intentions. The third time was about to be, but that was not because destiny was leading the two. It was their intentions that worked that way.
But that wasn’t unplanned either.
They had a flexibility in their wills that could respond to each new phase in the changing events. The fear of suffocating from being stuck to one point, bound to one will, must have made them acquire such a habit. But humans are beings having only one body. Memories acc.u.mulated deep within their bodies mixed with their emotions and bound them from becoming what they should be. For this reason, yearning for change, they desired to challenge one another. If they had met others who could challenge them, the two should not have come into conflict.
Yet unfortunately, they could not find Newtypes around them.
