"Who is that? Someone from your background?" Kris asked doubtfully. There wasn"t a single teacher or student character named Saint Nicholas.

"Well, I already said more than I should. If you still can"t figure out who he is, that"s your problem, not mine. Oh yeah, don"t forget to pay for my meal too. I am kinda broke you see" Linri left the table while leaving behind these words.

If Kris was going to keep reminding him about that accident, he might as well pay for his meal too. Anyway, he gave some info to Kris so if he pestered him to pay back, he could say that he paid for that info with this breakfast. The idea of being an info broker really grew on Linri over time. When he was done with this stuff he might as well make it his real profession back in his own world. The problem was where to get the info but he was sure that the future him would figure something out.

After packing up his stuff Linri checked out of the hotel and made his way to Autumnfall. It would be a lie to say that he wasn"t excited. After all, he spent four years imagining this place in his mind. He was very curious about if it would look similar to what he imagined.

When he finally arrived he was speechless due to its grandiose. In the real world, this school was only known as where the child of elite studied so they did not really need to hide, but still, to disguise their real agenda from the spying eyes they had bought a private hill where it was restricted to get in without a permit.

In order to paint the public eye from time to time, they would hold press meetings and show them inside the school where all the students were sent home for holiday and there would be actors posing off as said students.

It really was a genius scheme but at the rate the technology was developing they wouldn"t be able to keep their secret for any longer but it did not concern Linri so he stopped thinking about it.

At the hill of the mountain, his taxi stopped and Linri had to climb the rest of the way by himself. He did not really complain as the scenery was beautiful and it could be counted as his morning exercise. Next to the road was a forest that housed countless birds and wildlife. You didn"t have to be scared of the wildlife, they were not dangerous... usually. The only times dangerous animals could be sighted on the forest were the days the students were forced to hunt them. It was just a simple training exercise and it really wasn"t dangerous but you could still die if you were not careful so there was that.

Linri finally arrived at the gate of the school where he was asked by a female employee to show his acceptance letter which Linri promptly did. Afterwards, she introduced herself as Karen and she told him that she worked in the student affairs department. It seems like she was responsible for guiding students when they arrived.

She guided him to the dormitory where Linri quickly checked in and left his stuff in his room before she took him somewhere else.

It was a small single-storey building between the main school and the dormitory. When Linri walked in he was greeted by the powerful stench of medicine in the air. This was the school infirmary?

"Um, excuse me? Why are we in the infirmary again? Weren"t you going to guide me to the courtyard?" Linri asked with apparent doubt in his tone.

"This is standard procedure. You will understand in a minute" Karen seemed to be expecting such a question so she answered him without batting an eye. Linri still did not understand why but he went along with it anyway. What"s the worst that could happen?... f.u.c.k! He just jinxed himself!

Soon they arrived at their destination. It was the room of the Head Doctor in school Hina Natsuki. She was the biology teacher and also responsible for this whole building along with its employees. Considering the death rate of school was high it would be logical to a.s.sume that it was the same for the injury rate. That was why instead of having a normal infirmary the school had a mini-hospital inside it.

When they walked in Linri met Hina for the first time. She was in front of her computer typing something. She had a short brown her and fair skin typical of hanawanese people of this world. Her eye colour was the only interesting part about her appearance which was deep blue. Her get-up was also fairly simple. She was donning a doctor"s coat and under it was a simple pair of blue s.h.i.+rt and black skirt. Of course, she was hot but it was true for anyone in this school so Linri decided to stop mentioning that fact for every single person he was going to meet from now on.

"Another one?" asked Hina without lifting her head from the computer.

"Yes, he is all yours" said Karen before leaving the room.

"Sit down in a chair. I will be with you in a minute" said Hina and continued her job. Linri was feeling awkward right now. Like he was a patient, waiting for the doctor to announce his test results. Was he going to die? I mean yes! He already knew that! But is this about something else? Did they already know about his smoking habit and brought him here for that reason? Was he going to be given a talk about how it was bad for his health?

Hina was finally finished with her work and got up from the desk. She inspected Linri from head to toe before leaving the room and ordering him to follow her. He was still nervous but he went after her like a good obedient puppy anyway.

Finally, they arrived in a room. From all the training equipment Linri a.s.sumed that it was some sorta gym.

"Name" Hina asked suddenly after taking out a tablet.

"Linri"

"Surname"

"Harclaw"

"Age"

"15"

Linri felt like he was being interrogated. Just why did she ask her about that stuff anyway? Wasn"t it already in the school database? She could have easily pulled out his file.

"Okay, now punch that sandbag over there as hard as you can" Hina ordered him once more.

Linri was confused about why he was asked to punch it. Was she recording her physical perimeters? But there was no such thing in the game! Still, he did as he asked and punched the bag with all his might. Well, it was gonna be disappointing anyway, he already knew his attributes and if she asked he could have told her.

604

That was the number that appeared on top of the sandbag after he punched it. Linri did not know what it meant so he looked towards Hina for an explanation.

"Punching strength 604 Kg. Above-average"

Yeah, it was as he guessed his strength was average... wait!

"That number was average right?" Linri asked doubtfully.

"No, the average is 400 Kg" answered Hina listlessly.

Linri opened his eyes widely. What the actual f.u.c.k! There had to be something wrong with the punch just now so Linri punched again.

602

It was slightly below the number he got just now but it was still higher than 400! He was panicking. Linri was always afraid of things from game changing, making his knowledge obsolete but this time what differed from the game was himself! He was betrayed by his own f.u.c.king body.

"Okay, now get on the treadmill" She pointed towards the machine on the opposite side of the room. Linri was having a panic attack internally but he did anyway. He just had to know the answer.

After he ran as fast he could the number on the machine hit 82 but it didn"t take two seconds for it to fall back to 70s.

"Top running speed is 82 km p/h. Exceptional"

Linri had a mental breakdown. Normally it was supposed to be a good thing that he had better attributes than he was supposed to. But the reason for his breakdown was the fact that it was different from the game. What if it was true for all the other students? What if it was true for the antagonists? Mind you, past the 2x Exceptional attribute every other subsequent improvement was a double. So even with a single raise in rank that attribute would be double of what it used to.

Once they were done with the tests Linri was too tired to even speak. Especially the endurance training hurt like h.e.l.l.

For the endurance training what they tested was how much G force can he endure. It turned out to be 45 G which was average but it still hurt like h.e.l.l. Linri could swear that he was having internal bleeding right now due to the pressure.

"Okay, we are done. Now hand me your arm" Linri stretched his right arm towards her as the left one was covered by the Bracers of Nox MK I.

Then Hina proceeded to inject him something. Linri knew that it was probably something beneficial but the curiosity got the better of him and he asked what it was.

"It"s a healing agent. It theoretically should heal all the wounds you suffered during the examination. Also, there is a piece of sub-bionic quantum computer that will bond to the optic nerves region of your brain" Hina explained automatically. Almost as if she hand answered the same question countless times before.

Linri was relieved that it was only a healing agent.

"Wait, what"s that about quantum computer thingy again?" He already had a breakdown five minutes ago so he was listless when he asked the question. Nothing could surprise him anymore today... well aside from Zero that is.

"I arranged the command word as Stats since you, young ones, seemed to like it. Repeat it in your mind and you will see" Hina looked like she couldn"t be bothered anymore.

When she mentioned the words stats Linri already understood what it was. At least this was something useful but he still didn"t like the fact that she messed with his body without permission.

Stats.

"Miss Hina this thing just asked something about the mainframe what"s that?" Linri asked before making a decision. This was not just some random User Agreement for an app! He couldn"t just press yes and be done with it.

"This thing as you called it can connect to a main computer located in the school where it gathers each student"s data. Of course, from only those who decided to connect to it. In exchange for gathering data from the students every piece of information inside the mainframe is also available to them. But in Autumnfall we respect the students" privacy so this choice is entirely optional. I highly recommend connecting to it. Anyway welcome to Autumnfall, you can now resume with your orientation" said Hina before leaving the room.

Now that he heard that Linri decided to choose no without a heartbeat. If he felt like it was necessary he could still connect to it afterwards but right now it would be better to just hide his stats. Before leaving the building Linri checked his watch and it was still 9.21 am so he still had time to meet up with Saint Nicholas.
