Love Unfolding

Chapter 52

Chapter 52

"Just what took you so long?" Erika greeted her cousin with a stern look.

Mei just laughed and slid herself beside Erika and threw her arms for a big hug. Erika tried to pull out as she felt it way too tight but her cousin pleaded.

"Let"s stay like this for a while."

"I have missed you so much." Mei said with a serious tone.

Erika calmed down and returned the hug.

"Right, I have ordered your favorite Truffle Pizza." Erika said as the waitress laid down the order.

Mei gasped , she loves pizza then her forehead creased.

"Wait, you don"t like mushrooms." She pointed.

"Nah, I"m not eating. This avocado shake would suffice."

Mei smiled then started to eat a mouthful of pizza.

They talked, catching up and all, up to the recent events of their lives like Mei"s boring dinner date last time.

"Sorry but I really don"t remember his name."

"You"re too cruel, gosh." Erika was laughing.

"It was really a boring date but at least there was something interesting that helped me to get by that boring night."

"Mmm mmm, and what was it?"

"You see, there were these two guests who caught my attention."

"Oh well, not mine only but everyone"s."

"So, they really looked too shabby to be there, and..."

Erika signaled her cousin to pause.

"Wait wait, aren"t you too judgmental?"

"Ugh," Mei rolled her eyes. "I am. I do, gosh just let it slide okay?"

Erika shrugged her shoulders.

"What? It"s Masa Eldorado…" Mei stressed out giving emphasis to the words.

"And?" Erika innocently encouraged her cousin to go on.

"Masa Eldorado, it"s a Three Star Michelin Restaurant." Mei was tapping the table to stressed out her point.

"Ahhh uhhhh."

"Those two ladies just went there as though to casually eat in a some random restaurant."

Erika just nodded while sipping her avocado shake.

"And there is more." Mei continued.

"You know Chef Jiao right?"

Erika pondered for a bit then nodded.

"He visited their table."

"And tell you what, he gave them a slice of cake."

"A cake, a cake baked by him. A cake Erika."

"Ugh… I love cakes."

Erika let out a small laughed and just lovingly listened and observed her cousin.

She did not changed at all, still the Mei she had known for years. The type of person who seemed not to scarce for words; talkative, energetic, hyper and bold.

"Well, I think I knew one of them. " Mei continued.

"She seemed familiar like I"ve seen her before but I can"t remember."

"And she"s good looking, I might as well add."

Erika just nodded.

"With dimpled smiles."

Erika nodded again.

"With kissable lips too."

By then, Erika"s brow lifted up.

"Have you painted her on your mind, huh?"

Mei laughed. "Maybe?" Hahaha

"Well, I could still remember how she nibbled the cake with every bite." She winked.

Erika"s face contorted. "You sounded gross and a girl at that."

Mei laughed. "Like I care," then stick her tongue out.
