Chapter 2717 Uncontrolled Bloodlines
“Micheal,” said Rhea from behind me, “Have you sensed something?” I asked her. “The thing our bloodline is sensing is close, very close,” she said.
If it had before, she would have asked to go there or even gone there herself, but even with all her faults, Rhea understood the danger we were in. If it had been any other place, she would jump right at it instead of informing me.
I looked at Lady Yui, who nodded; it was clear by her answer she was also sensing what Rhea was sensing.
“We will go there, but you have to listen to me. If I say it is dangerous, you will not take a step at it, no matter how hungry your bloodline might be for it,” I said and looked at Rhea; she had a habit of being impulsion, so it is better that she understood what is rules before we go there.
I wouldn’t have taken such a dangerous decision if not for Lady Yui; she is weakened a lot, and I need her stronger here. If whatever it is will be able to help her regain her power or at least get the power of the common High-Grandmaster, it would be a great help.
“I understood,” said Rhea.
“Which direction is it?” I asked, “Left,” they replied in unison. I could tell both of them were extremly excited; they were trying to hide it, but I could see it in their eyes easily.
The response they are getting from their bloodline must be really intense for their mood to become like that, especially Lady Yui, a powerful High-Grandmaster, who is a step away from reaching the absolute peak of her cla.s.s.
I moved to begin to walk toward the left slowly, and they followed behind; there were traps everywhere, and I warned them now and then about the traps they could not sense.
A few minutes pa.s.sed, and on the way, I even found a couple of resources, including a few bones. One of the resources I have found was at the level of the divine crystal I have found and was quite rare; it is the request of Sky Lord.
Now, I just have to survive; I have heard that the old man has quite good things, and there are some I need. I will easily be able to exchange it for the resources I need from him.
Another few minutes pa.s.sed, and I stopped, as in front of me was a pool. The pool is not big; it is round and about ten meters in diameter. It is a little deep, about five meters deep, with its base filled with multicolored crystals.
Those crystals are in hundreds of colors; some are s.h.i.+ning whole, others are dull; they also release hundreds of types of different kinds of energies that even my mind had got blown up by them.
“Rhea, stop,” I said loudly, bringing her out of her reverie brought out by her bloodline. “My bloodline is deeply hungering for it,” said Rhea as her thoughts became clear.
“This hunger is really intense that I am barely able to control myself,” added Lady Yui as she stared at the crystalline base at the pool.
“Both you don’t make any movements before I completely investigate it,” I said, and not to take any risk, I used my strings to bind them. I would not have taken such excessive actions if not for seeing the intense reactions their bloodlines are having, and it is getting intense by the second.
If things reach the dangerous stage, I will make them unconscious. I could not allow their bloodlines to take a risk and put their lives in danger for whatever thing was inside the pool.
Tap!
After a few minutes of investigating, a crown appeared on my head, and I tapped on the ground lightly. As I did, a silvery pink wave came out and moved toward the pool.
I have already investigated the pool, and now, I want to confirm what I have found with my most powerful investigation method; the result will decide if those two will be able to enter inside or not.
A few seconds later, the silvery pink wave came back, it was much lighter than when it went, but it had brought back the data I needed. There is no formation in the pool, and while the pool itself is a powerful artifact, its only function is preserving; it will not stop those who are trying to enter inside.
“Lady Yui, you enter first,” I said, and before the words fully came out of my mouth, I found Lady Yui flas.h.i.+ng, and the next second, she sitting on cross-legged on the jagged crystalline surface.
“Micheal, it is not fair. I am your old friend; you should have given me the first chance,” Rhea complained behind me, but I did not listen as I was busy looking at the thing happening the moment Lady Yui’s feet touched those crystals.
Visually, there is no change in them, but metaphysically, they are sending a huge amount of energy inside Lady Yui, and her bloodline is drinking it all like a thirsty man in a desert.
I am watching it very carefully, looking at any problem, and even asking my clone to focus on it. This energy is not so simple; it is giving me the feeling of danger, which means it is dangerous; my instincts have never let me down.
“Micheal, can you let me go; it is becoming very hard to resist,” Rhea said pleadingly. She had tried to move but had found herself bound, and I was right to bind her; if not, she would have already jumped at the pool.
“You will enter after Lady Yui comes out,” I said and focused back on meta-physic, especially her bloodline, which is ravenously absorbing the energies.
The bloodline is getting stronger as it absorbs the energies; I could see the bloodline is rapidly regaining its strength as it absorbs more and more energy.
A little more than a minute later, her aura firmed the High-Grandmaster cla.s.s. At the same time, a bloodline phantom appeared above her, revealing her bloodline, which she had kept secret for many years.
Her bloodline phantom is of the blue-colored women with s.h.i.+ning blue skin and wide azure wings. I could not tell what kind of bloodline it was, but it was definitely a powerful bloodline; I am not surprised to see that if her bloodline were this powerful, she wouldn’t have been able to reach her height of power quickly.
As her bloodline got stronger, it began to absorb more and more energy while getting stronger and stronger every second.
My instinct is still calling the danger, but I have not been able to find any, but that did not stop me from looking. If my instinct is telling me there is a problem, then there is, and I just need to find it.
Five and a half minutes pa.s.sed, and her aura had gained its previous power; her bloodline had recovered her previous strength and was still absorbing the energy without stopping.
Hun!
Another three minutes pa.s.sed, and the bloodline got closer to the absolute peak; when I finally found the problem that my instincts were screaming at me and saw what it was, I did not wait even a second to think and yanked lady Yui out of the pool.
