Disclaimer**Below is my ANSWER/OPINIONS towards the purpose of life. Please do not hate/bully/a.s.sault me for my words. It"s merely my opinions. Please read on only if you are interested in some more serious/philosophical stuff, otherwise I think you won"t enjoy reading my "answer" to this question at all. Anyway, here it is.
This is, frankly, one of the most common philosophical question. My viewpoint towards this question is very different from others. These kind of questions never have a proper answer, so I"m merely giving my point of view. If you happen to disagree, please comment in the comment section.
So most people will argue that the purpose of life, simply, is to be happy. Well, that certainly is not wrong. We only live for a set amount of time, as our lifespans are limited (fortunately? and even unfortunately). It is still unknown - what happens after we die. Scientifically speaking, we lose consciousness and we just pa.s.s away. You"re gone from the world. That"s it. How depressing would that be, if we aren"t happy when we are alive? Surely, we should enjoy our lives as we will be disappear straight after we die anyway. So of course, we should be happy when we are alive. Enjoying our lives, without a doubt, could be a possible answer to this question.
I, however, have a completely different viewpoint as well. What if we are actually here to achieve something? I don"t believe in coincidences. So out of everyone here, YOU and I are chosen to be alive. We didn"t choose to be here, theoretically; we are just here. We never get to choose whether to be alive or not. So, surely, there must be something more behind the reason why we are here.
I think that the purpose of life is, more or less, a trial. We have yet to figure out a way to be immortal, but no scientists can be sure that we can"t be. Maybe the purpose of life is to find the way to live forever. Then, we can go and explore about our lives. We will have infinite time to do what we want to achieve. Only when we become immortal, we have a chance to actually seek out the purpose of life. When we have infinite time, we can talk about real purposes.
Plus, if we do achieve our "purposes", the day of our death will still come. And after you die? Your so-called purpose is not achieved again. Only when we can live forever, we can truly fulfill a purpose. At least, in my opinion.
This is my opinion, and you are welcomed to disagree. I hope to write something like this daily - just to provoke others" thoughts. I would also like to learn of others" opinions. Leave a comment if you have some time, or if you are interested.
Thank you for reading.
* And yes. I don"t proof-read for this novel nor use any grammar-checks. I use it for my other novel though. I"m just writing short articles/chapters to share some of my thoughts.
