This is Rico Algavas Cruz, an eleven-year-old kid from PeƱon de Kawayan, a city in the Philas Region. He likes music, art, and literature. His older brother, Jonathan, died when he was only five while attempting to stop certain Pokemon thieves from brainwashing Arceus, a Legendary Pokemon. Rico is kind, calm, generous, righteous, and loyal to his parents and school. He also rarely argues or being angry. It all started when Rico was going home from the beach. Along the way, he found a Riolu, a rare Fighting-Type Pokemon, being injured from being caught by Pokemon thieves. Having no Pokemon of his own, he picked up a stick, and starts to poke that Pokemon, thought that it might attack him. Then, suddenly, two Pokemon thieves, dressed in grey t-shirt, green cap, yellow and green vest, grey shorts, brown boots, grey gloves, and each armed with a gauntlet, and ride on a Z.Z. Flyer, emerged from the trees. The male thief said to Rico, "Oh, what a poor Pokemon. I think that Pokemon is perfect for you;" then he and his female partner laughed.
Rico then carried Riolu in his arms, and yelled at them, "Hey! Why and what did you done to it? What is this? Capturing a wild Pokemon?" Then the female thief answered him, "What"s the matter, kid? Are you afraid of us?" Then Rico answered, "Heh, I am not afraid of you;" then he started throwing stones at them. But they dodge them. Then the male thief said to him, "Heh, I think you are a coward, kid. We are the Pokemon Pinchers. We -"; Rico threw the fourth stone before the male thief finished his sentence, this time it hits one of the Z.Z. Flyer"s levers, leaning it to the left, causing the male thief"s
Z.Z. Flyer to descend out of control, eventually hitting his partner"s Z.Z. Flyer.
Then Rico said to Riolu, "This is a distraction. I"ll take you home." Riolu, weakened, responded, "Ri-o-lu." Rico then put Riolu in his bike"s front basket, mounted on his bike, and fled as fast as he could. Once gaining control, the two Pokemon Pinchers start to chase Rico and Riolu. They then began shooting waves of circular beams using their gauntlets; but Rico dodge their attacks by shifting his bike left to right and vice versa, like those stunts you see in action movies. At last, Rico and Riolu hid in an abandoned house. The Pokemon Pinchers then inspect that house as Rico and Riolu hid rigidity and quietly; but they didn"t find Rico nor Riolu, and left the place. Seeing that the close was clear, Rico and Riolu sighed in relief, came out of their hiding place, and managed to reach home.
