Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 101

Abium took a deep breath and gripped his sword tighter within his palm. The next moment, an intense pressure emerged from that goblin made Helena and others thought to be clouded a little. Abium felt a domineering aura came from that goblin.

It was the feeling when he stood before King Seawallus in the throne room. That aura made others kneel in front of that small goblin. In the past, Abium had felt these types of auras when he met with few peoples. It was unique to those who were rose to become a lord or a king.

"Like h.e.l.l, I would kneel before a monster!" He coldly looked back at that goblin and soon teleported behind its and gave a kick. But soon, he found out that a small figure was just an illusion and noticed that the goblin king stood a few meters behind them.

"An illusion spell."

Without wasting any time, Abium spurred towards that small goblin and quickly arrived in front of that figure.

Slash!

Instantly, Abium gashed his short sword towards that goblin king to kill it quickly.

Clang!

But to his astonishment, that goblin king managed to block his sword using its dagger. A surprised expression appeared on Abium"s face as his eyes widened. He could see a dense yellowish aura formed on the edges of that goblin king"s dagger.

"Ho! sword aura? Too bad, you had met me."

Next instant, red-colored sword aura formed around Abium"s sword, and without any delay, he thrust his sword towards that goblin king"s head.

"Please don"t kill me. I will work for you." It finally realized its mistake while gave a sad expression and started begging. If it was in the past, Abium might have believed this, but he knew it was all an act.

Zing!

Without any pause, his sword directly thrust towards that goblin"s skull and ended its life.

"Let"s go."

Next, everyone walked back to the entrance and started cleaning those goblins from the tunnel.

"Everyone! Now it"s our job to clean everything." Claude spoke, and soon, women, children, and even some old peoples began to help remove those goblins from inside the tunnel.

Abium, Helena, Lily, Sara, and even Viper and his daughter joined along with the soldiers" group. With their help, they cleaned up those dead bodies for another hour and got ready to move towards the other side. Abium took the lead, followed by Helena, Kuran, viper, and others.

Some goblins were still roaming inside that tunnel but were swiftly killed off by Abium, who was in the lead. After three hours of travel inside that tunnel, they reached the other side of that mountain range.

"It"s almost 1 pm!" His eyes shifted towards the backside and soon noticed the mountain range already blocking the sun.

"Moreover, the weather is hot and humid here."

"Let"s go."

Abium, with a short curved sword on his waist and a small blue crystal embedded on his right-hand finger, carefully treadled on a rough and uneven path while the group followed him from behind.

Easica continent"s wilderness was quite a dangerous place. Although it wasn"t too bad right now, after that chaos era, the forest would be filled with monsters infected by chaotic impure mana.

That would cause all these monsters into a crazy state. They would become a lot stronger than they originally were and would become more bloodthirsty. Abium had a feeling that it must be somehow related to what was happening in the undead plane.

In the past life, a lot of cities and even a kingdom fell under this monster"s attack during the third wave.

Dewsummit city was one of the few cities that hadn"t been overcome by the monsters until the end of the chaos era. The reason was simple: Dewsummit city had a large number of mages from Kaummiths inst.i.tute to help during the third wave. As for other areas, mostly, there was no help came from the mages.

Well, during the final wave, there were only two cities stood standing in the Peral Kingdom. One was the Dewsummit city, and the other was a port city that was going to appear in Alastall Woodland. But this time, Abium would be the one going to build that city.

No one knew the answer to why the monsters near to this mountain range were not completely affected by the chaotic miasmas. But that saved countless refugees even from other kingdoms.

As Abium was deeply thinking, others followed him from behind with serious expression on their faces.

"Wow! Is this the Alastall woodland? It so lively." Everyone nodded at Helena"s comment. But only Abium knew what the dangers were here. Abium didn"t intend to go through the forest, instead of planned to take a short route.

This Alastall woodland was wholly filled with monsters and wilderness.

But it is a suitable place during this upcoming dark age.

Not only because there was a protection from outside threats but also because of wealth this land holds like iron mines, silver mines, agriculture lands, and sea wealth.

In the past, duke Adhemar built the port city and made this land as his primary stronghold. If not for those benefits in this land, Abium would never choose it earlier.

"How many kilometers we have to walk? I think children and women are already on the verge of collapse." Helena walked near to him and whispered to his ears.

Abium frowned. Leading these children and women into this wilderness during the night would be more dangerous.

"Should I first go to that pirate town and capture it?" His amber eyes glinted in cold light. From where they were standing, it would only take around four to five hours of travel to reach that town. As for that Magic tower, it would take longer to reach there.

"Hmm, Although that necromancer might have already used all his undead skeletons against those pirates, still with these many peoples accompanying me, it will be difficult to battle against him."" He muttered inwardly.

"Let"s go to the east then." He quickly changed the direction and advanced towards where the pirate town was located. On their way, everyone started to examine the whole land, which was filled with rich flora. Amaryllis plants, Black walnut, Atlas cedars, red mangrove, and some other rare trees were spread around the whole forests. They also saw a few hardy kiwi vines and Alastall vines, which were only native to this land. Even though some goblins, wolves, and some other monsters tried to ambush the group, with Abium"s map function, the group managed to avoid casualties.

The group slowly moved away from those dense tree areas, and they started to see some open regions from time to time.

But after two hours of their continuous walk, suddenly, Abium noticed an enemy moving towards their direction from the south.

"Stop!" He instantly halted his footsteps and shouted in warning.

"Young Baron, a powerful enemy, is coming to our way." Viper walked near to his side and said with a grim tone. Abium"s body suddenly stiffened up. He knew this man lived with dangers all his life the same as Abium.

"Who is that?" His body tensed up.

"If it is an enemy, then these peoples will be in a dangerous position." Instantly, he made up his mind.

"Everyone, go back a few hundred meters away quickly. Sir viper and I will handle this enemy." Abium quickly shifted his gaze towards Helena and said. "Helena, you will have to protect them if anything happens out of the ordinary. Got it?"

His tone made everyone"s expression to change instantly. With a nod, Helena and others moved back a few hundred meters away.

Shw.a.n.g!

Both Abium and Viper unsheathed their swords then waited for the enemy to arrive from the south.

Soon, both heard a rustling sound from the depth of the woods, and a hooded figure came out from those dense green bushes. No! More precisely, that figure was moving towards the direction were that pirate town was located. That hooded Murius also stopped his track as he saw two figures and froze for a second. Soon, behind him came another three dark figures covered in clocks.

Skeletons! Abium"s eyes widened, and he instantly understood who this guy was.

"It"s that Necromancer! What is he doing here?"

At the same time, Murius stared back at two of them and soon shifted his gaze towards fifty more peoples on the back.

"It"s that baron! Does that mean viscount members and Bilet are dead?" Murius startled inside. Soon his eyes shifted towards Viper, who was now standing with a grim expression on his face. If Viper had met this necromancer in the past, he wouldn"t have any problem to deal with him. But now, his strength was diminished by the wounds and caused him to frown deeper.

Abium also instantly scanned all those tree skeletons and was surprised.

All of them are dark knights with average strength and agility of 8. But if I didn"t kill him now, there will be no opportunity in the future.

"Sir Viper, are you ready?" Abium asked with a tense face.

With a nod, Viper sprints forward towards the necromancer leaving blur images behind. Still, Abium clearly manages to see Viper moving in slow motion. Once viper arrived near Murius, he gashed his long sword towards Murius"s head.

"Scram!" Murius bellowed in anger as one of the dark knights stepped forward from his behind and greeted Viper"s sword.

Clang!

Both dark knight"s sword and Viper"s sword collided against each other, leaving a clashing metal sound behind. Before Viper could withdraw his sword, another broad sword came from another dark knight towards his chest.

Clang!

At the same time, Abium already arrived near to Viper and instantly blocked that attack with his short sword.

"Tsk, I don"t have any time to deal with this elf." Murius clicked his tongue and became irritated.

"Baron, I don"t have any time to battle with you. I have important work to do, so move out of my way." Murius eyes went icy cold as he took two steps back.

"d.a.m.n! Even with the undead skeletons, I have in my ring, I will be in a tough position." Soon, his eyes shifted towards Viper and felt darkness aura came from Viper made him narrow his eyes a little.

"Eh? Sixth tier warrior?! This guy is a dangerous one." His pupil constricted. Even if Murius managed to kill all of them here, he knew that might put his life in danger during the upcoming fight against those bandits. His green eyes went towards the main group and quickly discerned the might of this group.

"There are one sixth-tier warrior, three fourth-tier warriors, and one official mage. It"s not a fight I could win without any loss." He bitterly smiled.

"Dark bind." Abium made the first move while Murius was in ruminate. Multiple dark shadows from those red mangrove trees crept towards his foot in a blink and started to bound him.

"Humph! Trying to bind me with a zero tier spell?" Murius sneered and sent his spirit towards those dark shadows.

Puff!

Like a shockwave, Murius"s spirit broke those dark shadows in a second.

"As I thought, one can nullify a less tier spell using spirit power." Abium nodded inwardly in understanding.

But that didn"t cause Abium to panic or nervous. Instead, he cast a blink spell and arrived behind Murius but didn"t attack. Instead, he once again cast blink spell as he had already foreseen the danger that necromancer would cast some death spell. When his figure disappeared, a ray of gray light came from Murius hand and completely destroyed that red mangrove tree that stood a few feet away from Abium.

Bang! Creak! Creak! Crash!

At the same time, Abium reappeared on Murius"s right side and thrust his aura coated sword towards his neck.

Swoosh!

Like a puppet, another dark knight came in between them and took that attack with its own body.

Bang!

Abium"s sword edges directly cut almost half of that dark knight skeletal head and pushed two feet backward.

"Wait! I surrender, so don"t kill that skeleton." Murius shook his head helplessly and spoke wearily. He had already drained his mana, and there was not much stamina to battle against these peoples.

"Why would I have to believe a necromancer"s words?" Abium was really surprised inside and asked curiously.

"I don"t have any strength to fight against you, elf. Also, I"m in a hurry to save a person." His reply made Abium"s eyebrow go upward.

"A necromancer trying hard to save a person? I never heard of such nonsense like this, even in the past." He scoffed off inside.

"Don"t always act like a brat who knew everything. This guy is telling the truth. Also, I already told you countless times that necromancers are not bad guys." A scolding sound caused him to frown.

He let out a sigh and asked while pulling back his sword.

"Who is it?"

"She is my student," Murius spoke solemnly. Abium could also feel the tension in Murius words.

"Where is she now?" Abium quickly signaled Viper to sheath his weapon into his scabbards and asked.

After a simple exchange, he understood the story and startled inside.

"Aliza?! Why it has to be her?" His eyes squinted while he thought of that monster who would cause major catastrophe to Holy See"s affiliated kingdoms in the future.

"Do you know that girl, kid?" Azolla sensed Abium"s sudden emotional turmoil, asked in puzzlement.

"Yeah! She is a death mage!" He said with a grim expression. He started to remember her history and shivered inside a little. She was the one who would devour all of her enemy souls, and he even heard that she would randomly enter inside a city and simply kill everyone. From his memory, now she was wanted by the light church and had a bounty of around 4000 to 5000 white golds.

"She is hiding here all this time! Should I kill her before she becomes a real threat?" His eyes soon shifted towards Murius and thought of what to do with this situation.

"I will decide what to do with her once we found her." Abium made up his mind then he quickly asked Helena and others to come back. After that group once again starting to move towards the east while making a temporary alliance with that necromancer.
