Jiro strapped his belt containing kunai, shuriken, and wire to his waist before stepping outside. He left from the house bright and early completely ready to s.n.a.t.c.h the t.i.tle as the champion team with the help of Jiraiya and Orochimaru. The sun shined down and the warmth soaked its way into Jiro"s body as he continued to leap from roof to roof towards the office.

When he arrived, he was met with the surprisingly refreshing scene of Jiraiya tying up a Genin while Orochimaru was finishing off the remaining two. Jiro could vividly recall the scene where Jiraiya and Orochimaru had been pitifully beaten by the compet.i.tion. It gave a very nice feeling of refreshment to see them be the ones beating down on compet.i.tion.

Orochimaru came in with a vengeance towards the other two Genin. His arms were moving at rather odd and very surprising angles while he slowly forced the two Genin into a corner. He quickly slipped by a fireball shot at him before shooting a snake out of sleeve towards one of the Genin. The Genin stumbled backwards from the snake and Orochimaru struck at that instant.

A kunai held to the neck made the lone Genin surrender while her teammate continued to struggle with the snake that was staring threateningly at him. The Genin distracted the snake by charging straight at it, before switching places with a stick that the snake struck instead. The branch snapped in half and the Genin smacked the snake with his kunai resulting in a knockout.

Before he could celebrate, an arm snaked around his neck and cut off his air supply. Orochimaru let go of the boy when he finally indicated giving up by tapping on his headband. When all three teammates were tied up and ready to be delivered, clapping echoed as Jiro entered clapping.

Jiraiya looked at Jiro with a grin. He smiled as a bright grin lighted up his face. Orochimaru on the other hand offered a small grin full of pride. Jiro did not smile back, but his shining eyes indicated how he was also happy. The three ninja just sat down in front of the academy. Jiro had his usual deadpan expression while Jiraiya had a completely taunting grin on his face. Orochimaru was looking down and reading a book.

Jiro had already noticed that other ninja were arriving so he naturally let Jiraiya and Orochimaru know. Ninja were hiding near the shadows in buildings or kneeling on really high structures in hopes of avoiding Jiro"s sight, but Jiro continued to point them out to Orochimaru and Jiraiya. The other teams had already noticed the tied up team of ninja at the feet of the three boys so they were warily waiting for other teams to lead forward.

----------------------

Shikachi stared thoughtfully at the current crisis of the strongest team blocking off the entrance while his teammates sat next to him. No matter how much he thought, he could not plan for dealing with the three. By teaming up with the other teams success might be possible, but he was worried about the possibility of a back stab. He was also not confident in the ability of others to follow his orders based on their judgement.

While waiting in order to observe how the other teams would act, Shikachi noticed that the team with the Hyuuga was approaching him. The boy with pale eyes nodded to Shikachi before clearly standing by his side. The teammates of the boy also stood and sat nearby Shikachi indicating that they too were fine with him being their temporary leader.

The spiky haired boy continued to stare for a couple more minutes before he lay down in preparation for sleep. Unfortunately, before he could sleep, he was rudely awakened by a hand jabbing into his side. Shikachi jumped up in surprise as well as pain to witness a pair of pale eyes staring right at him. Shikachi idly noted that the boy seemed to be waiting for an answer.

"There are three factions right now. The team guarding the academy, us, and the other teams. We need to wait it out or team up with more people to attack. I spread a rumor that the team guarding the academy was worth more points, but someone might have figured out that I lied to them so I"m waiting in case they try backstabbing me."

The Hyuuga boy had been nodding along to what Shikachi was murmuring, but when Shikachi revealed that the rumor was a lie, he started seething inwardly. The boy tried to attack Shikachi, but he was frozen in place. A shadow connected to him left him unable to move at all. The boy"s teammates were also stuck in place. He glared at Shikachi with all his might, but was completely helpless after being tied up by rope.

--------------------

Jiro was idly swinging back and forth on the swing while Orochimaru and Jiraiya were doing their own thing. No-one had attacked yet and it would soon become lunch time. Jiro knew that as soon as the teams came close enough, he could burst into action and try to capture them, but everyone was staying at a distance.

He could easily spot them, but the distance between them was definitely enough for some one to set some seriously nasty traps. Jiro saw a couple of ninja setting up something with wire, but he had no idea as to what they were doing so he warned Jiraiya and Orochimaru about those specific areas. Jiro also happened to see a couple betrayals go down ruining the chances of an alliance happening.

The team with the Hyuuga boy was betrayed and beaten by the Ino-ShikCho team. The team that managed to beat Jiraiya and Orochimaru did not betray a team, but they went directly after a team with a dog. Lastly, a team consisting of hunters managed to betray another team by getting them caught in a bunch of wire traps.

A grand total of five teams including them were left. Four teams had been beaten in various ways and were all tied up. Jiro figured out a way to get rid of the trap team. He gestured at Orochimaru and whispered something into his ear. Orochimaru nodded and got up before approaching the team with the traps.

Orochimaru approached the team that set up various traps before grinning. He stood a few feet away from the nearest trap. A shadow clone poofed into existence behind Orochimaru before rushing into the trap. The trap left the clone dangling from it"s ankle, but Orochimaru simply crossed his fingers and let the clone disperse.

The chakra used to create the shadow clone rushed back into the body of Orochimaru. He summoned another clone that rushed forward again to get rid of some more traps. This time, Orochimaru threw a kunai that cut the clone free from the wire holding its leg. The clone dispersed once more and Orochimaru launched multiple kunai that snapped the visible wires setting off a variety of traps.

The team watching Orochimaru had a very unsightly expression on their face. Orochimaru was laughing at their efforts as he continued to go from one trap to another. As he continued to dismantle the traps while approaching the team, the three decided that it might be better to confront him directly instead of waiting for him to waste their traps.

Jiro was watching with boredom as Orochimaru finally coaxed out the team into fighting. He observed as Orochimaru crushed the boys to the floor with s.a.d.i.s.tic glee. A snake was biting the face of one boy and another was unconscious after a wind blast slammed into his chest knocking him into a tree.

The last boy was on the verge of fainting, but he pulled out a kunai before engaging in an utterly anticlimactic fight with Orochimaru. The boy hastily thrust the kunai towards Orochimaru"s face, but a snake swallowed the kunai and it had its jaw wrapped around his arm. The boy was desperately trying to pry the snake off of his arm, but he was failing. Orochimaru was laughing at the boy"s pitiful efforts.

Other teams watched in disapproval, but none of them stepped out to help the boy. Orochimaru quickly knocked the boy out. He then carried the knocked out team as well as the earlier team that was captured by the trap team. Orochimaru was tensed as he approached Jiro. He was expecting some sort of ambush, but nothing happened. He sighed in disappointment before unceremoniously dumping the boys as well as the other team onto the dirt.

Even after Orochimaru"s actions, no team was taking any action for now. Jiro"s team now had a grand total of nine captives. Jiraiya was on the verge of falling asleep as he had nothing to do. Orochimaru had his fun as he was a s.a.d.i.s.t that enjoyed delivering pain onto others. Jiraiya on the other hand considered himself to be much more approachable compared to his two teammates as well as more normal.

That being said, his sense of fun was spying on women taking baths so maybe he was more weird than he thought. Nevertheless, Jiraiya was feeling bored as well as a little useless. Everyone had done something now except him. Sure he got rid of that earlier team, but it didn"t even take much effort. He still had energy to use for something productive.
