Once again her mother was peeling some fruits for her father . Layla upon seeing her daughter couldn"t help but to check the time .

She furrowed her brows before looking at Azusa, "What happened? Is there something wrong? This is much earlier from your usual visit . "

Azusa smiled, "No mother, there"s someone who wants to meet father . "

That"s when Layla and Leo realized that there is someone else in the room, behind Azusa .

Mamoru smiled as he bowed in a very gentlemanly manner, "Good day ma"am, sir . "

Layla was firt taken a back for the sudden visit of Mamoru before she realized the reason why Mamoru came . She could only shake her head, she can obviously see just how nervous this man is . But seeing as he and Azusa are here in a time which is very different from Azusa"s usual visit, she knew that this decision was spontaneous .

Leo looked at Mamoru intently, he was trying to remember where did he meet this fiung man . Soon the answer naturally came up in his mind, he then smiled at Mamoru, "You"ve grown, Mamoru . "

Mamoru was taken a back by finding out that Leo actually knew him . Seeing this reaction Leo understood the reason behind it as he smield once again .

"Of course I"ve met all of you back when you were just kids . Though I suppose none of you remembers that . You were pretty young back then . Plus I can also put your parents togetehr in order to find out who their children are . "

Upon saying this, he gave a chuckle, "And I just realized it now . All of us only had a child . Well I suppose except for Akihiro . To think that the twins were actually born and alive . Even now Haruka is expecting . Ah I"m used it not using their t.i.tles when I"m speaking with those close with them . "

All three have their brows furrowed . Layla and Azusa had theirs because, for the first time in a long while, Leo actually spoke a lot . Even in front of Akihiro and Yukimura, he barely speaks . Maybe because of the fact that he was talking about his friends, that is why he could speak so much .

Mamoru had his because it didn"t escape his hearing, Leo only said Akihiro"s three children . Eureka was not among them . But seeing as Layla and Azusa were not reacting or pointing it out, he chose to keep it to himself and just ask Azusa about it later .

"To still be remembered by you sir Leo, it is indeed my pleasure," he calmed himself and replied with a smile .

Leo fell silent as he looked at the two of them, from Mamoru to Azusa then back to Mamoru .

"Is what I"m thinking the same as the reason why you are suddenly here?"

"Those guys sure are lucky, they"ve already went past this stage . "

He was really glad that Leo was alive, it"s just he thought this moment would actually come for him .  

He could only firm his resolve and take a deep breath before once again seriously looking at Leo .

Seeing this look, Leo couldn"t help but to sit up straight . The way Mamoru look, feels like he was about to confess to him instead of asking his permission for him to date Azusa .

"Please allow me to date Azusa," Mamoru seriously said as he bowed down .

"You"re not yet dating?" Leo asked .

Mamoru stood up straight once again, he looks completely fl.u.s.tered, "N- No, That is . . . I . . We . . . "

Azusa couldn"t help but look at Mamoru with a suppressed smile . He was as half as serious as Raven and half as jolly as Hideyos.h.i.+ . But she haven"t seen him this much fl.u.s.tered .

Mamoru"s eyes darted around the room . He was really not used to this and he couldn"t help but to more pressure towards Leo compared to Feena"s father . Or maybe because back then he was trying to cancel the engagement that is why he had more courage?

"Relax will you, I won"t eat you," Leo couldn"t help but to be exasperated upon seeing him get fl.u.s.tered .

"But if I remember right, aren"t you and Feena engaged?"

"We have canceled it, sir . Both of us have no feelings for each other . So we faced our parents to tell them what we really feel . "

Leo nodded upon hearing this . He then seriously look at the two of them .

"Seeing the two of you, I can tell that your relations.h.i.+p is not anew established one . That"s right, Azusa was completely infatuated with you back then, she-"

"Father!!" Azusa"s face completely turned red upon seeing her father starting to tell Mamoru stories of how infatuated she was back when she was a child .

"*chuckles* Anyway, most of these times, I wasn"t there for her . And in a different world, she had even . . . *sigh* I won"t ask you to take care of her cause Iknow you have been doing that all this time . So I can only ask you to keep what you are doing and love her with all you"ve got . Tears will always be there, I just wish it would be minimal . "

Mamoru knew what he meant by "in a different world", for EUreka have already told them what had happened to the other Azusa"s apart from being the bad ones .

He too understand why somehow Leo is being easy on him . It is mainly because he was gone for the most part of Azusa"s life .

Mamoru can tell, Leo still felt like he still didn"t have much of a right for the decisions regarding Azusa"s life . Especially those part where she chooses the partner she"ll spend with for the rest of her life .

"Sir," Mamoru looked serious as he looked straight in Leo"s eyes .

"No matter who . Or no matter how long one spent with their children, especially with their daughter . They have the right to see whether someone is really compatible with their daughter . If that man would really love her or hurt her in the end . A father does not only have that as a right but as a duty as well . "

He held Azusa"s hand as he smiled gently, "Azusa is a very precious one . And I"m really happy that I am the one she chose to spend her life with . And I am lucky that the man whom I"ll ask her hand for, is you . I must apologize that it took me so long before coming here to say my intentions . I hope I was not too late for I really want to keep dating her until the time where both of us have finally decided to make a family of our own . So please, allow me to keep dating your daughter and to keep treasuring her . "

He gave a bow after saying all of these . Azusa who was taken a back at first followed suit as she too asked her father, to allow her to date Mamoru .

Leo who was shocked by his words, almost cried . His hands on the blanket trembled .

He was not worth it of this respect, he was not worth it of all the people surrounding him now . He even felt suffocated, he couldn"t accept all the love and kindness they are showing .

He had done so much . He was nothing but an evil person worthy of nothing but death .

He swallowed making sure that his voice wouldn"t crack, "Go on then . Go on and love each other for the rest of your lives . "

Getting his approval took a lot of load off of Mamoru, he smiled as he thank Leo and smiled at Azusa who smiled back at him .

And since Azusa still have her duties, they soon bid their goodbyes and promised to visit when he has the time . Leo just nodded .

"They sure are very compatible," Layla was obviously happy for the two of them .

"Layla," she then heard Leo call for her .

Upon looking back at him, she was shocked how serious he was looking at her .

"So you were nervous after all," after riding another carriage to return to where Azusa was on duty, she finally decided to tease him .

"Anyone would be . Though I was also acting so rashly . I didn"t even bring anything on my visit," Mamoru couldn"t help but to sigh .

Really his decision was truly rash . He just thought of it and then just went with it . That is in no way respectful of your seniors . He should have brought some fruits and all .

He couldn"t help but to keep on sighing upon realinzing all the mistakes he have done during this time .

Azusa sighed as well, seeing how he was beating himself over something so trivial, "Come on now . We still got his permission didn"t we? Shouldn"t you be happy instead?"

Mamoru looked up at her before smiling, "That"s right . I really am happy right now . "

He pulled her into a tight hug, getting both parents permission would always be the happiest moment for the couples . They didn"t need to worry about anything at all . Or be secretive in any way .
