Chapter 1.1 Crossing
“Someone, anyone come quick! The Young Master cut his wrist and committed suicide… someone…”
Awakening from the stupor of sleep, Ye Xuan looked around and found his figure lying on a soft bed.
“Oh, my head is spinning…” he muttered softly and rubbed his temples.
Waves of intense pain came from his wrist causing a frown to form on the edge of his lips. He lowered his head and noticed his left wrist had been wrapped like a dumpling.
“Holy sh*t, what is this?” Confused, Ye Xuan knotted his brows. He could feel his left wrist was injured but…
However, at the next moment, his eyes enlarged and bulged wide open. Large pools of memories suddenly flooded his head.
Profound Sun Empire… Southern Cyanwood Forest… Cloud Merge City… Ye Family’s Young Master, Ye Xuan…
The memory stimulated his brain causing the youth to grit his teeth and let out an unfathomable, blood-curdling scream.
After a long while, the bulging veins on his forehead retracted.
“What’s going on? Did I transmigrate?”
Feeling the memory running through in his head, Ye Xuan quickly crawled out of bed and looked at the reflecting mirror only to discover the body looked exactly the same as him—even the sunburnt black pigment exposed to the sun was the same.
He vaguely remembered what happened before the transmigration.
At the time, he was reading a novel on a website called Palm Reading. The lights on the ceiling suddenly flickered as if something grand was about to happen like those in a movie. However, what happened the next moment was still fresh in his mind.
The lights on the ceiling went out and the 30-inch display monitor in front of him, one he bought for a huge sum began rumbling and sucked things in like a vacuum cleaner.
The instant noodles, mouse, keyboard, mobile phone… all were sucked into the monitor display. In the end, even Ye Xuan was unable to escape from the pitiful troughs. He could hear the sizzling sounds of electric currents which was ear-piercing and harsh.
“Have I truly transmigrated, or am I dreaming?” Ye Xuan was uncertain.
Just as he was about to pinch himself to verify the truth of the matter, sounds of footsteps echoed from the outside door, followed by the appearance of a pet.i.te figure.
“Young Master, you’re awake…”
She around the age of twelve or thirteen: tall, slender, and her face delicately natural as if made by the heavens.
As he turned around, a memory floated up. She was his personal servant, Liu’er.
His lips parted, but before a word came out, he felt ten thousand needles stabbing his solar plexus. The sudden pain caused him to pa.s.s out, almost.
Now he was sure transmigrated. It was no longer a dream.
“Ahh…!” Ye Xuan screamed.
“Young Master, quickly lie down…” Seeing his agonizing state, Liu’er rushed forward and led him to the side of the bed. “Young Master, your dantian is broken and you’ve lost all your cultivation. It would be better if you rest for the time being…”
“What?”
His dantian shattered? Cultivation lost?
Overcome with shock, Ye Xuan staggered. After sensing around, he realized he gained an additional ability to see the inside of his body.
He could feel his dantian was empty and his heart thumped, a strange feeling of emptiness flooding him whole.
“What the h.e.l.l is going on? Why did I transmigrate to this place into an unlucky guy with a broken dantian?”
Ye Xuan was helpless.
However, he suddenly discovered something extraordinary within his broken dantian. It was a golden sphere.
