Chapter 650: Dimsky in Shambles
“How did the two of you turn out like this in the span of these last few days?” Xia Fei said with a smile.
It turned out the figures were not just anyone; they were two of the mech leaders, Dimsky and Warstar.
Warstar was as staunch as ever. His body made of liquid metal was completely upright and as sharp as a keen knife. Meanwhile, Dimsky had changed to a strange body that had four arms, each hand holding a weapon, looking all menacing, like a crab that had learned how to walk.
Warstar said, “Dimsky’s just created an unprecedented body frame, which he claimed to have a combat strength beyond any war armor before and which few could rival it in the universe.”
“Were you the one who caused that hurricane just now?”
Xia Fei nodded. “I was in the middle of learning a new martial technique and had to test it out here in the wild.”
Dimsky and Warstar were tremendously shocked. They had stared intently at the radar earlier; it was such a large hurricane that they even thought an outsider had infiltrated the Hidden Realm. They had not thought that it would actually be Xia Fei’s handiwork.
Xia Fei smiled at Dimsky. His nondescript body was very weird, the four arms able to be adjusted forward and backward. It was more flexible than an octopus, the arms broad and thick, most likely concealing several offensive weapons within.
“Your frame’s very novel.”
Dimsky was pleased. “After examining your war armor, Edgeless, I suddenly got inspired and designed this completely new body frame.”
Xia Fei nodded. Dimsky was the chief science officer among the mechs, and he enjoyed spending all his time researching such technology. Who knew just how many different bodies of his did he have, and each one extremely specialized? However, this was actually the first time Xia Fei had seen him in a combat body.
Dimsky whispered to Warstar, “Xia Fei’s combat strength isn’t bad; should I get him to help me test out the new combat body?”
Warstar shook his head helplessly. “Don’t be silly. Xia Fei’s very powerful. I was already not his match back then, so now that he has returned after spending time in the Law Realm, his cultivation is even greater than before. I’m afraid that I won’t even withstand a single blow from him now.”
The more Warstar praised Xia Fei’s prowess, the more excited Dimsky appeared to be.
“How could you build him up while tearing down your own prestige? My brand-new body is the strongest ever created!”
Warstar shook his head. “If you really want to test it, I’m enough. There’s no need to trouble Xia Fei.”
“You?” Dimsky was unconvinced. “Though your body was personally constructed by Lord Radix, what I have now is a new model, something I spent plenty of effort on. It’s not that I’m looking down on you, but there’s no way you can last three rounds with me given your current cultivation.”
Warstar glared with much anger that his expression became stern. “Whatever. Ever since you came up with that weird body, you’ve been so pleased with yourself till you’re absolutely beside yourself. I really do wonder if it’s really that powerful?”
Dimsky laughed. “I’m not bragging about how powerful it is; perhaps you’re dissatisfied that a science officer like myself possesses even greater combat strength than you do? Just you watch; I’ll give Xia Fei a good thras.h.i.+ng today! You’ll then know why I have such great confidence in this war armor of mine!”
With that said, Dimsky swaggered over to Xia Fei. Warstar followed him, still fuming. Though they were of the same race and shared a very tight bond with each other, Warstar was hoping that Dimsky would be properly trounced today more than any other time. He was truly being too infuriating, bl.u.s.tering with much confidence that it had gotten to his head after having come up with such a top-grade body frame, believing that there was nothing in this universe that he could not beat.
“Xia Fei,” Dimsky called, all excited, “I have yet to test properly this body frame I made; I think today’s a great chance for me to mentor you.”
Mentoring implied that a superior expert would spar with their own disciple or a descendant. Obviously, Dimsky was referring to himself as that peerless master.
Xia Fei smiled and casually said, “Okay. I happen to have some time right now, so let’s see how amazing this new body of yours is.”
Dimsky happily widened his stance and solemnly stated, “Do you still remember that Silver Desert liquid war armor that you gave me? I used that along with the frame Xana left behind and the technology Edgeless employed to form this unique super body. Don’t you complain about the pain after I make mincemeat out of you later!”
Xia Fei was stunned. Silver Desert was formidable, and the former leader of the mechs warrior Xana was even more incredible. Edgeless was a top-grade war armor made by Fig Corporation, possessing a Law Emperor level of defense and combat strength, so powerful that nothing else rivaled it!
The fact that Dimsky had successfully combined these three amazing weapons together, this body he built must surely be very powerful!
Xia Fei got into his battle stance as well, his expression turning serious. An exceptional warrior was not one to be careless when facing their enemies, especially one whom they were not completely familiar with. He devoted 200% of his concentration to this fight!
Dimsky was ultimately no warrior, and he boasted about all the different technology this new body frame of his possessed and just what great functions and capabilities it had.
The air around slowly turned still. Xia Fei and Dimsky faced each other, creating an electrifying atmosphere between the two!
“Are you ready?” Dimsky asked.
Xia Fei knitted his eyebrows together and lightly nodded.
“Be sure to unleash your strongest combat strength!”
“Of course!”
……
*Kaboom!*
*Crackle!*
After all that prelude, the actual fight was extremely unexpected.
Dimsky’s four arms were whirling like wheels of flames, while Xia Fei merely used a single move.
Falling Leaf of Autumn’s Demise!
The palm landed like a falling autumn leaf on the body frame that Dimsky had spent a whole thirty minutes boasting, and then he was sent flying the moment Xia Fei’s finger touched!
In the next moment, that body, which was the result of merging the three technological marvels and was the so-called culmination of his life’s experience, was shattered into pieces!
Everyone was startled. No one had imagined that Dimsky’s new body would be left in such a terrible state after a single blow. Xia Fei had barely exerted any strength and Dimksy had already collapsed!
The parts scattered everywhere, looking like a rain of metal.
*Clank*
Dimsky’s head came falling from high in the sky, bouncing a few times on the ground before rolling down into a gutter by the side, soaking in sewage.
“How about that? I already told you Xia Fei’s very powerful, but you just wouldn’t listen! See, now you’ve disgraced yourself until you’re right in the gutter. You couldn’t even withstand a single blow, yet you dared to claim I wouldn’t be your match. You’re even worse!” Seeing Xia Fei become his proxy in venting out his frustration, Warstar happily fished Dimsky’s head out from the dirty gutter.
Dimsky merely opened his mouth, his head completely stained that he could not even recover from the great shock he had just experienced.
Xia Fei sheepishly scratched his head. “Don’t look at me like that. You’re the one who asked me to use my ultimate move. Besides, I haven’t even used all my strength.”
*Chunk*
Dimsky’s mouth finally shut, his two eyes looking at Xia Fei in great aggravation before he muttered, “Just what went wrong? What exactly went wrong?”
Warstar laughed. “I know what went wrong.”
“You do?” Dimsky looked at Warstar doubtfully. “Why don’t you share it?”
“Because you overestimated yourself!”
Warstar was laughing with glee, and only at this point did Xia Fei realize that the last remaining general of the mechs actually had a sense of humor. He could not help but be even more impressed with the intelligence these mechs possessed. Xia Fei was, of course, even more in awe of Radix, the one who created these AI robots.
“You don’t know this, but ever since Dimsky built that frame of his, he’s been nagging incessantly to my ears. I’m literally beside myself with happiness now that you’ve destroyed it,” Warstar said, laughing endlessly.
Dimsky’s dirty head swapped back to that c.o.c.kroach frame even as he sent for robots to help pick up the pieces, appearing to be somewhat dispirited. Xia Fei had dealt a fairly heavy blow to him, almost destroying what confidence Dimsky had.
Xia Fei gave the matter some thought before saying, “It’s not that there’s anything bad about that body frame; rather, there’s some illogicality with how you designed it. After all, you’re no warrior, and you’re not versed in things like what sort of situation may occur during a fight, what’s the most suitable form of defense, and what will be too much defense. It’s hard to gauge the sense of proportion required without having experienced battle yourself.
“You should consult Warstar more in these aspects; he has plenty of combat experience. You can’t expect to build a frame just hiding in the laboratory all day. You need to merge both theory and real combat.”
Dimsky turned to look at Xia Fei earnestly. “By what you’re saying, does that mean that my body isn’t without its merits?”
Xia Fei nodded meaningfully. “But of course. The standard of your design is fairly high and will definitely be considered a top-grade masterpiece. You just need to make certain modifications to some details and it will be improved.
“Plus, if you were to give this frame to Warstar, the result of the fight wouldn’t be anything like what had just happened.”
Watching as Dimsky depart with Warstar in animated discussion, Lionheart Emperor Oro said, “You’re really an expert when it comes to psychological warfare; the two robots were originally at loggerheads, yet you easily diffused the contradiction between the two; now, they’ve even become more bonded with each other.”
Xia Fei replied, “If I didn’t be open about it, Dimsky would forever bear that knot in his heart. I was telling the truth, too; that new frame he designed really does have flaws. Besides, the closer Dimsky and Warstar are, the more beneficial it will be for me. This is the ending that everyone would hope to see.”
Oro nodded, making a note to himself: ‘Xia Fei knows how to console his subordinates, and that’s a good trait to have.’
…
Concealed Flash Dragon, a Tier 5 Law of s.p.a.ce martial technique.
This martial technique was very unique, completely different from anything that Xia Fei had learned in the past.
It was a sort of hidden law power that directed law force right into the ground, becoming like a monster buried under the soil that would break through when the enemy least expected it! It was a singular heavy attack on the opponent.
Xia Fei had no experience in such things, so all he could do was stumble his way through, overcoming the difficulties one by one.
Three days later, it was time to review the results of his training under the old demon Oro.
“Golden Sand Dance is the advancement of Chain Traversal. You have the prior experience, and given its difficulty, it can only be considered to be at primary stage level 5 skill. That’s why you mastered it so fast. Concealed Flash Dragon is different. When it comes to the camouflaged activation of the Law of s.p.a.ce, the difficulty is many times more. Do you feel the complexity now?” Oro asked.
Xia Fei nodded. “Indeed, I have to expend quite a lot of energy studying how to activate the Law of s.p.a.ce secretly. The difficulty is definitely many degrees of magnitude compared to the Golden Sand Dance.”
Oro was somewhat pleased. It was already a very decent result if Xia Fei managed to cultivate to level 3 after three gruelling days of training with Oro, but compared to how swiftly Xia Fei had mastered Golden Sand Dance the last time, Oro decided it was better to include an additional level to his prediction for safety.
“I take it that you’ve cultivated Concealed Flash Dragon to level 4?” Oro probed. If Xia Fei had reached level 4, then Oro would have predicted accurately and he would have nothing to add. If Xia Fei failed to hit level 4, then it would be the perfect chance for him to hamstring Xia Fei a little.
Xia Fei shook his head. “A little higher.”
“Level 5?” Oro’s eyes turned slightly red.
“Still a little higher.”
“Higher! You couldn’t possibly have mastered all nine levels, have you? That’s impossible! No matter how talented you are, that’s absolutely impossible,” Oro spat hoa.r.s.ely.
Xia Fei shrugged. “I’m not that fast. This martial technique is very difficult.”
Oro heaved a sigh. If Xia Fei had really mastered all nine levels in three days, then that would be a huge blow to himself, since it meant that Xia Fei’s potential had surpa.s.sed even his own!
As a peak figure among the Demon Race, Oro had been an unparalleled genius since he was young. He could accept Xia Fei’s talent being a little better than his own, but he would just be depressed if it was too much.
“So what level did you get to?” Oro asked.
“Eight.”
“F*ck, what difference does eight make to nine?!” Oro could not resist but cursed, his scalp numbing.
