At some point, Elijah felt the gazes coming from Yawen, Aina and Ca.s.sie fall over him while he stood still. There was no telling how long it may take for the three to recognize his ident.i.ty, but he believed they would not be stupid to use their real ident.i.ties either. Yawen"s eyes also stared at Yalli, confused to why she felt this girl was so familiar to her, yet she could not remember from where and turned to observe the other partic.i.p.ants. Mysterious and obscure figures standing in the dark corner of the room were chatting between themselves. Most had a ghostlike air around them that set them apart from everyone else in the room. Elijah had his phone scan through them, yet he could only hear a loud "beep" and nothing happened. He guessed one of them had a powerful artifact that rejected his phone"s power in some way and decided to let go. The first team to go up was surprisingly Yawen"s team who partic.i.p.ated as Sarina, a mutated dragon species most people never heard of. With the tournament being one battle at a time, the two teams stepped in the stage it was like both teams were transported to another world, or isolated in a spatial domain where everything they did won"t affect neither the population or the tourists as there was many descendants of celestials at the mortal realms here to watch the tournament.
On the stage, Yawen"s team all removed their hoods revealing four beautiful celestial-looking ladies with one of them being a member of the void clan with their ink-black hair and grey eyes. But whoever stole the spotlight this time was a young child standing behind Yawen who seemed to not even be in his teens with a long golden hair that could bring the feelings of jealousy and envy to most women.
"Wow, what a young boy." One female exclaimed from behind the stage with other spectators beside her while pulling her sister beside her. Her dark brown hair and thin translucent wings s.h.i.+ning with radiant gla.s.sy light gave away her ident.i.ty as a member of the fairy tribes. The other fairies around her giggled, most fairies didn"t needed to cultivate in order to achieve long lifespans as they were similar to older G.o.ds who had nearly infinity lifespan since birth.
Because there was no males in their race, most of the species when they reached a certain age would go out to look for partners in other races. So they were the first to show interest on such a cute boy, however they were not the only ones with their eyes locked on Elliot mainly because of the surprise felt from his age which most experts could see even from far away.
"By my ancestors! How can anyone let that boy partic.i.p.ate in the tournament, he"s not even six years old!" A descendant of a imperial G.o.d of sun nearly pulled all his hair out. It was not rare than youths and even children would partic.i.p.ate in those type of tournaments as one or two monstrous genius that could fight on even grounds with older experts happened more than a few times and most of those kids achieved great things. One of them was the man"s ancestor himself, Ra who fought legions of demiG.o.d by himself when he was just a magical beast with less than a hundred years of cultivation. Nowadays he even created countless mortals worlds and stars, wors.h.i.+ped as the greatest G.o.d of sun by the mortals and respected by every celestial.
The other team, Yawen and the other three were facing were four saints as well as direct disciples disciples of the greatest saint himself as well as the famous. Three men and one woman with ma.s.sive spiritual force so great that their bodies could not hold it within their bodies. Before the battle they each bowed to Yawen"s team and introduced themselves.
The first to step forward was a female dressed in white with the borders of her eyes glowing with the powerful soul reflected on them. "Maeve, ninth realm saint and disciple of the Spirit Ancestor."
"Kye, ninth realm saint and disciple of the Spirit Ancestor."
"Snowcreek, ninth realm saint and disciple of the Spirit Ancestor."
"Goldwing, ninth realm saint and disciple of the Spirit Ancestor."
Yawen and her team nodded and bowed as well before introducing themselves. It was common knowledge that only pure souls could reach the peak of the spirit path to the point the respectful way the saints acted became a kind of joke for the other celestials as the spirit faction were the ones to least interfere in worldly matters or find a problem with the other factions making most of the factions friendly to them.
"Yellia,
"Ania, early-phase eight realm mortal cultivator."
"I"m Serina, a Stellar Dragon on the ninth realm…" Then she grabbed the shy boy hiding behind her, feeling a bit nervous from all the glances directed towards him and exclaimed, "And this is my son, Sei."
The boy"s face quickly grew red as his cheeks puffed making all the ladies stare at him with red faces before he suddenly turned into a miniature golden dragon and landed on Yawen"s shoulder. Yawen could only let out a hollow laugh when seeing her son"s action:"As you can see, he is a bit shy. When all the introductions were made, a timer appeared above them showing a the cooldown of ten minutes.
To make the battles shorter while keeping the cultivators in a good state for the other fights, a new rule was established to give a limit of ten minutes per fight. Like this they didn"t needed to hold back their power in order to not spend all their energies in a single battle, cultivators of a certain level didn"t wished to have long and extensive battles because on their level most battles could be resolved with a single move depending on the opponents they were facing.
Standing on opposite sides of the stage, they all head the rigging bell when the timer started counting time.
The first battle of the tournament has started!
