“It’s not really risk taking&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;”
“But, still, I was surprised. Even though you were using your white cane, you got here like it was no trouble at all, so I honestly thought you could see a little.”
“Since you three were talking, I could figure out where we were going by following your voices. Once you get used to it, it’s not as much of an inconvenience as you’d think. I have a maps app on my cell phone now. So I can find my way around pretty easily.”
“Amazing~”
The three of them exclaimed their admiration at Tatsumi’s words. It was something anyone could do once they got used to it, but if he said too much, it may sound pitiful, so Tatsumi stopped himself by smiling vaguely.
Each of the meals they ordered were brought in no time. The number five on the lunch time menu he had picked at random was a stir-fried pepper steak meal. It felt like it had been a while since he had eaten a warm meal he hadn’t prepared himself. Even when he went out to eat, he never went anywhere other than fast food restaurants, and places he knew had menus in braille, so he rarely had chances to go to privately owned restaurants. When he took a bite wondering if it was any good, he sensed Shimura sitting across from him giggling.
“What?”
“Nothing, I was just thinking, you’re someone whose emotions come out on their face quite a bit, Konno-san.”
“Is that so&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;? I try to be more conscious of that sort of thing though.”
He didn’t mean to show how felt on his face so easily, actually, since his parents and little sister had told him, you don’t smile as much anymore, that a.s.sessment of himself was surprising.
