The Alpha's Breeder

Chapter 11

All in all, this woman would be the end of the human race and everything in between if she chose to wage war.

But this was all a myth of some sort, right?

Something that werewolves tell their kids as a bedtime story.

Right?

I can"t possibly be some Breeder built with no other purpose than to lay flat on my back and give birth for the rest of my life.

I refuse to become a breeding b.i.t.c.h for anyone.

d.a.m.n it.

How am I going to get out of this mess?

The more I pondered on the situation, the more entangled and preposterous it seemed.

Since the werewolves are probably busy with the hunters, I have to take advantage of the situation and escape before they notice me missing.

With a deep sigh, I trudged back over to the window and ripped off the blue curtains to reveal the wood planks hammered into place.

I doubted that kicking the planks or ramming my shoulder into it at full speed would dislodge the nails and loosen the boards.

That idea was very painful and rather impractical.

Glancing around the room again, I noted that there was a metal folded chair in the corner.

I hobbled over to the chair and picked it up, my fingers burning since I had literally chewed off most of my cuticle during the whole scheming process.

Afraid to make too much noise, I slowly started to pry at the wood. My hands shook from the strain but I pushed myself forwards.

The minutes trickled by and there was a more noticeable loosening of the boards, gradually coming loose as I continued to put more pressure.

Sweat trickled down the back of my neck.

It took me almost 30 minutes before I finally managed to tear off a small spot that I would be able to crawl through.

I"m glad, for once, that my frame was a lot more pet.i.te and delicate than others.

Not wanting to waste any more time, I lodged myself into the small hole, splinters attaching to a majority of my clothes to which I had to ignore at the moment.

After a little while and several minutes of wiggling, I managed to land with my head on the gra.s.s.

When I finally got my legs out, I started limping away from the house madly as if the devil was on my heels.

There was a big forest in front of me and the packhouse was behind me, meaning that if I head into the forest, I would have a chance of escaping.

Without another thought, I quickly made way towards the grove of trees.

Since I have no sense of direction, I used the sun as a guide.

The sun rises to the east so I chose to go to the left, to what I a.s.sumed was the north.

I could hear my blood roaring in my ears along with the rapidly palpitating beats of my heart.

I trudged on with the thought of survival and hope, no matter how little of it I currently had.

G.o.d, please don"t let them catch me.

.

.

The sun still glowed behind my back but I knew that I wasn"t covering ground fast enough.

My legs feel like lead had been attached to them and I noticed that my body was failing me in the moments that I needed it most.

And I could do absolutely nothing about it.

I thought that since I have been through this already I would at least be able to calm myself down, but that wasn"t the case.

I was working myself into a frenzy and I felt like I was suffocating.

I wasn"t numb to these emotions like I had hoped.

Instead, I felt as if the further I pushed myself, the more panicked I became.

Why couldn"t I trade my anti-aging abilities for super speed or something more useful in the long run?

I sighed.

As I stumbled out of the ravine, I saw a big apartment building to the front of me with small houses surrounding it.

I"m saved!

A wide smile spread, too quickly, onto my face as I limped to the houses only to stop in my tracks when the oxygen finally reached my deprived brain.
