Zylvia woke up to Kaldrek leaning over her and placing soft kisses on her face. She was trapped in his arms. A fact she was admittedly good with. A soft giggle came out of her mouth.Kaldrek pulled back a little at the sound, his cheeks reddening at being caught. She smiled up at him.
"Uh… I-I am-m s-sor-" He started stammering.
"Why did you stop?" Lifting her arms around his neck she pulled him close. "I thought it felt rather nice."
His blush deepened and he gave her a soft gentle smile. Then he lowered his head back down to continue kissing her face. After a while she turned her head so that he caught her mouth instead of the cheek he had been just trying to kiss.
His whole body seemed to relax against hers. One kiss became several as he seemed unwilling to leave her. She did not complain.
After a while he sat up, and looked down at her, "We should probably be getting up, my love."
She simply nodded as she sat up and kissed him softly one last time before they both scrambled up to get dressed.
Zylvia grinned quietly as she joined him to listen to his breathing as he did his meditation. His arms folded around her comfortably and he buried his head in her neck as he did his routine. She listened, and thought to herself that someday she would probably be completely joining him as she would need to focus her magic too once she got better at it.
When she felt something wet against her neck she froze completely, eyes wide. D-did Kaldrek just? As his arm tightened around her waist, she realized that he had, in fact, just kissed her neck. Her cheeks reddened rosily as she started squirming in his arms.
She did not mind so much what he had done, but they needed to leave their room, and if he kept this up… well, she was not sure either one of them would want to leave. Better that they did not start that right now,
"C"mon, Kaldrek. Not now."
He pulled away and lifting her up, he set her on her feet, "Alright, love. Whatever you want."
Her heart thudded as she realized that Kaldrek was controlling himself for her sake. That he would not press her if she did not want…
She pulled him towards the door and gave him a conciliatory kiss to make up for her refusal. "Later, my lord. Just right now, well, I need to be ready to keep Fayre company." She explained as she did not want him to be too put out.
He nodded as he slipped his arm around her waist, "Breakfast first. I am not sending you to the queen on an empty stomach."
"Okay," She conceded with no reluctance. Fayre would definitely prefer it if she was fed and not slightly grumpy. She placed her hands around her husband"s arm.
"I am going to need to go purchase some things, Zylv. Do you need anything?" Her husband asked her as they walked to the dining hall.
She paused, thinking for a minute, "I already have everything I need."
"Anything you want?"
"Hm… Not that I can think of," She paused, "Well maybe, one thing…" As he focused his attention on her she continued, "A kiss before you leave would be nice."
"Done," He smirked as he leaned down to kiss her, "And I"ll give you another before I leave too."
They ate breakfast in a comfortable silence before he walked with her to where she would meet the queen. When they arrived, he pulled her close and gave her another kiss, this one deeper and longer.
When he pulled back, he ruffled her hair and told her he would see her later. She nodded, a little breathless yet happy.
She felt a little smug thinking about the fact that she was the only one who got to see this side of him. The sweet, adorable, gentle loving side. Anyone who put in enough effort could get to know just how good of a friend he was but she was the only one who got to know what kind of lover he was.
It was not long before the queen joined her and they got to work, reminiscing about the past. It lasted them all morning and there were many stories they did not even touch on.
The morning flew by quickly and soon they were eating lunch with Fayre"s husband and the two teenage kids. Kaldrek joined them halfway through the meal and asked her if she would like to join him that afternoon. She nodded quietly.
