(Author note: I added 250 or so words to the end of the previous chapter, starting from "Crystal, seeing no downside, immediately replied, "yes," to the request." it"s just after that last box... so yeah... I"ll delete this message in a few days. I know its better to add messages in the authors thoughts section, but it wouldn"t really help once you"ve already made it to that point.)

Crystal, having successfully transplanted the limbs of her skeleton over to the newly acquired lich, quickly set about claiming the room as her own.

"Claim room!" She said firmly, hoping for it to go more smoothly, at least in comparison to last time.

[Congratulations! Attempt to claim "Fluyt type pirate ship" "The Ashen Lady" "Brig" has succeeded!

Several dungeon features now automatically available due to brig acquisition!

Automatically switched to "True Avatar" mode!]

"Haa... thank goodness," she said with a relieved sigh as she felt her territory expand.

While replacing the lich"s limbs, Crystal had asked her consultant about some of the dungeons functions, such as the best terms to use when controlling the dungeon. Due to her consultants personality, however, she hadn"t expected them to actually work.

"Now then, list room items!" She commanded.

And once again the desired outcome occurred, all the items within the room were promptly listed.

[Brig: contents: Broom closet, Captain"s ornate sword, Captain"s leather tricorne hat, Captain"s leather trench coat, High quality pair of leather boots, Tattered straw mattress, Simple wooden club, Barrel of high quality 202 year old dwarven dragonberry wine * 6, a.s.sorted near-worthless items * 96.

Total DP value: 3,248]

Crystal nearly collapsed upon seeing the huge number appear.

"What the h.e.l.l!?" She screamed in shock as she stared at the number.

As this was technically a question, the consultant took the opportunity to explain the unreasonably high number.

"The dragonberry wine alone is worth five hundred DP a barrel due to it"s age, even more if put up for auction through the DP market," informed the consultant casually, "though that would require the corisponding trait and a large amount of time."

Crystal then spent a moment looking over the box once more.

"I had no Idea most of these things were here," Crystal thought as she saw the name of each item.

"Though I guess this room is pretty messy after all," she added, noting the piles of dust, sand, tattered fabric, and rotten wood that cluttered the room.

She then took a moment to organize her thoughts as well as contemplate the commands that she wished to give.

"Okay..." she said after about ten seconds of silence, "um, first, sell two barrels of wine... repair the lich, then equip her with the sword as well as all the listed clothing items, store the rest."

A short moment later a related notification box appeared.

[Sold: Barrel of high quality 202 year old dwarven dragonberry wine * 2, a.s.sorted near-worthless items * 96

Crystal watched as the room was transformed into a completely clean state.

Clothes appeared upon the lich"s body, and a cutla.s.s with a golden hand guard, a black handle, and a silver blade appeared in her hand.

Crystal then looked the lich over with a satisfied expression, and the lich herself did the same.

Despite not having any facial features to speak of, Crystal inexplicably felt that the lich was extremely happy at the moment.

"Oh, right," Crystal said as she remembered her currently maimed skeleton which sat against the wall somewhere behind her, next to the door "also repair the skeleton too."

This time however, an unexpected notification appeared instead.

[Cannot repair minions that are being observed by non-dungeon beings without direct contact with the "Core" or "True Avatar"!]

"Huh...?" She verbalized, not understanding the meaning.

Another notification then quickly followed the first.

[Intruders have entered your dungeon!]

She then, upon seeing that message, realized something... the four barrels she had stored, and the two she had sold, had been the ones she had blocked the doors with, the door which held back the army of armed skeletons.

Crystal turned around just in time to see her first minion, the one she had nicknamed Skelly, have its head severed by another skeleton which had just entered the room through its now unbarricaded door, accompanied by what was essentially a conga line of nine-teen of its closest friends.

She received no chance to morn however, as a slash was directed her way as well, one which she barely blocked using her torch.

"Dammit!" She cursed through gritted teeth, having lost Skelly due to her own foolishness.

Even though the skeleton hadn"t actually possessed any level of either sentience or soul, it was still her first minion, and thus she held a somewhat strong sentimental attachment to it.

A moment after the enemy skeleton had attacked her, and before it could make a second attack, it was sent flying backwards into its companions by a spartan style kick to its chest, courtesy of the lich.

It no longer gave off a joyful vibe, or one filled with excitement, it now gave off a vibe of pure malice.

"Was the mutiny and the torture truly not enough to satisfy you!?" The lich screamed in its raspy voice, each word laced with hatred, "and now, even from beyond death, you dare to strike at my master!?"

With a single swing of her sword two skeletons had their skulls bisected, and with the next swing she took out another by slicing it vertically down the middle, through, head, spine, and pelvis. The sword"s silver blade flashed brilliantly as she swung it, scorching the skeletons wherever it touched them.

"Summon skeleton pirates!" Crystal quickly commanded the dungeon, not wanting to lose her second minion as well.

[Notice! You can not directly things into an area that contains enemies or intruders, or into an area that they can observe.]

"Of course that would be the case!" She scoffed sarcastically.

Crystal then turned to the lich and informed her of the situation, "if you can push them back through door I can summon more allied skeletons!"

Hearing those words, the lich threw her sword into the head of the skeleton nearest to Crystal"s location, then, after picking up the stunned skeleton"s body, she dashed forwards into the crowd of skeletons, using the one she held as a riot shield.

As a result, all but two of the skeletons were forced backwards through the door, toppling backwards like bowling pins.

The lich then turned around and grabbed the two remaining skeletons, forcefully dragging them out of the dungeon by the wrists of their sword wielding hands.

"I don"t care!" Crystal said sharply as she slammed the door shut so that she"d be out of the skeletons" line of sight, "just summon twenty pirate skeletons equipped with the best of whatever type of swords that they are most suited to, so long as I can afford it!"

"Randomize it!" She yelled, a pink mist spreading throughout the room the moment she finished speaking.

A short distance away...

The lich who was at first dominating, having lost the advantage of being able to force her enemies through the narrow doorway, was now barely holding her ground against the attacking horde.

She was once again missing an arm, and was now surrounded on all but one side, her back which was now against the door.

It was in that moment that it appeared...

A huge monstrosity, an amalgamation of several different skeletons came dropping down from above, likely all the way from the ship"s main deck.

It had three heads, all screaming, six arms, all holding rusty red swords, and four legs which were twice as long as the should otherwise have been, its torso a seemingly impenetrable sh.e.l.l of a.s.sorted bones.

"Kyaaaaa!" Screeched the first head.

"Gyaaaaa!" Shouted the second head.

"Hyaaaaa!" Cried the third head.

It then began charging towards the lesser lich, trampling its allies underfoot as it did so.

However, moments before the creature impacted the lich, the door behind her swung open... and all h.e.l.l broke loose.
