Chapter 12 Vibration (Part 1)
Inside an ordinary inn, a beautiful, snow-white girl is leaning her back against a door watching the delicate youth dressed in white chang pao sitting cross-legged on the bed.
The youth’s complexion is deathly pale, and dried blood still hung on the corner of his mouth. His hands are placed flat in front of his abdomen, silently chanting some cultivation scripture. His complexion changed from white to red, then from red to blue, before finally changing back to white…repeating this cycle ceaselessly. His black hair gradually started emitting strands of hazy white smoke—the scene looked extremely mystical.
The beautiful, snow-white girl was worried yet curious as she stared at the youth on the bed. She was bewildered from seeing such a strange phenomenon but did not dare to utter the slightest sound. She seems afraid of disturbing the youth up until her two eyes gradually closed.
Ling Xiao sat like this for the whole night!
When he opened his eyes again, it was already the next morning.
After restoring his energy for a night, he was finally able to stabilize his meridians. However, his ten meridians are still in a delicate state and would require at least half a month to heal completely.
He recalled how he had risked his life yesterday and exhausted all his strength to use “Scar Leaving Sword,” the first form of the Tearless G.o.d of Death Bu Jing Yun’s very own “Sword Hegemon.” It could be imagined how domineering and violent its power is. He could certainly kill an intermediate-level xuan pract.i.tioner like Luo Qing Shuang in one sword stroke with his current strength of an eighth-rank martial apprentice. However, Ling Xiao did not want to kill; he had no resentment towards Luo Qing Shuang. If she is killed accidentally, he would have to bear Luo Family’s rage which is not something he could contend with at present.
He went to buy a sword yesterday to prepare some life-saving measures for his trip to the Desolate Chaparral Mountains
“Sword Hegemon” is split into three forms. The first form, “Scar Leaving Sword,” is the most overbearing and destructive move; blood must spill once the sword comes out. He did not have sufficient xuan strength to use the second form, “Flowing Cloud Sword,” and the third form, “Shooting Star Sword.”
He was only barely able to use “Shooting Star Sword” in his previous life, but eight xiantian experts perished to one sword stroke. It is evident how astonishing its might is.
Ling Xiao got out of bed and looked up to see Bai Yu Xi sitting by the doorway, shivering with her body curled up.
Alarmed, Ling Xiao immediately went over and saw her face was extremely pale, her eyelashes trembling, and hugging herself like a poor kitten.
Ling Xiao touched her forehead which was burning up from what seems to be a fever.
Ling Xiao reached down and lifted up her body. Although his body is weak, Bai Yu Xi is still light enough for him to pick up.
Bai Yu Xi tightly embraced Ling Xiao’s neck and restlessly drilled her small head into Ling Xiao’s embrace almost like she had found herself a warm blanket, looking incredibly adorable.
Ling Xiao’s heart can’t help skip a beat. This girl’s two mounds of plump and soft flesh brought him a guilty pleasure. He wished he could just ravage her right now.
There had been no lack of beauties by Ling Xiao’s side whether it’s this life or the last, but he still hasn’t lost his “virginity” card.
Many people had been very puzzled. Why is this? Does this guy have a problem downstairs?
Wrong. As a matter of fact, Ling Xiao had been trying hard in this area.
He had been listening to his crafty old master’s preaching since he was a child.
When his wily old master pa.s.sed on his martial arts to him back then, his teacher had once said something that he still regrets hearing to this day.
“Xiao’er. If you wish to practice exceptional martial arts, you must maintain a virgin boy’s body, so that you can use pure energy to achieve truly supreme martial arts.”
At that time, Ling Xiao was very fond of practicing martial arts, and his dream was to reach the top of *wulin. Therefore, he kept his master’s words in mind up until the moment he perished together with Ghost Sect’s big four super-experts. Ling Xiao repented, raining curses on his bulls.h.i.t master for causing him to have never enjoyed any of life’s pleasures.
[*term referring to all martial artists and the community they form.]
Fortunately, he now has an opportunity to start over or else he would regret forever.
Ling Xiao suppressed the burning urge, laying Bai Yu Xi flat on the bed and covering her with the blanket. He then called for an attendant to prepare a basin of hot water for cleaning her sweating forehead and transferred a small amount of the xuan strength he restored last night to Bai Yu Xi. Her fever finally came down midday.
His mind suddenly gave rise to an evil idea from seeing the lovely Bai Yu Xi in front of him. “I might as well have her serve as my maid forever. If not and she gets taken by someone else, wouldn’t that be a big loss?”
In Falling Stone City, all maids accompany their young master and do whatever their master pleases, which includes providing evening services.
“Pu! When did I become this disgusting?” Ling Xiao spat out. He then ate some of the food the attendant to brought up earlier, emptied his mind and sat in meditation.
During this time that Ling Xiao was healing his wounds through meditation, there was a frantic search for him outside.
Turning back to last evening, Ling Zhan was initially sitting cross-legged cultivating Three Parts Yuan Qi but was disturbed by Ming Xi Yun. Their son and adopted daughter had not returned after going out all day and, being a mother; she felt ill at ease. She did not know that her son can cultivate xuan strength again and didn’t want to see her son seriously injured like before.
Just as Ling Zhan and Meng Xi Yun decided to go out to search for their son, their modest home received a visit from Ling Zhan’s third brother, Ling Tao.
Ling Tao was a thirty-three years old man, dressed in a blue chang pao, carrying a pike on his back, and soon to break through to intermediate-rank xuan warrior.
When Ling Tao saw Ling Zhan, he immediately cupped his fist and greeted respectfully, “Second Brother, Elder Sister!”
Meng Xi Yun smiled and said, “Third Brother has come!”
“Third Brother. Why did you come?” Ling Zhan held Ling Tao’s shoulders and asked.
Although Ling Zhan’s meridians had been terminated, this third brother remained steadfast to his older brother and the brothers have maintained a close relationship.
Ling Tao laughed and said, “I just wanted to visit Second Brother. Right, why don’t I see Xiao’er?”
“We were just about to go find this brat. We haven’t seen him since he went out yesterday, so your sister-in-law is feeling anxious.” Ling Zhan explained.
“What? Xiao’er hasn’t returned?” Ling Tao exclaimed.
“There’s no need for Third Brother to be alarmed. Xiao’er probably just lost track of time from playing too hard.” Ling Zhan is not worried about Ling Xiao; he already knew his son could cultivate xuan strength. He shouldn’t have any accidents as long as he does not encounter any significant trouble.
“d.a.m.n. Something’s gone wrong. I’ll go with Big Brother and bring Xiao’er home. Elder Sister, you should stay and wait at home.” Ling Tao said, exposing a worried expression.
Meng Xi Yun staggered when she heard this and nearly fainted. She quickly grabbed Ling Tao’s hands and said, “Third Brother, you need to explain yourself clearly. What happened to my Xiao’er?”
Ling Tao made a long story short and said, “Xiao’er and Luo Family’s little girl got into a huge fight today at the Fragrant Taste Restaurant. He defeated Luo Family’s little girl, but Xiao’er apparently also received injuries…”
Before Ling Tao finished, Meng Xi Yun’s body shook as she interrupted, “What? My son is hurt?”
“Woman shouldn’t b.u.t.t in when a man’s speaking.” Ling Zhan said coldly and then asked Ling Tao, “Could it be that Xiao’er is serious injured?”
“I don’t know if he has been severely wounded, but I want to ask Second Brother one thing: Can Xiao’er cultivate xuan strength again?” Ling Tao did not answer but asked instead.
Ling Zhan realized that this isn’t something they can keep covered up and immediately nodded. “Xiao’er obtained an opportunity to restore his xuan strength.”
“Oh, that’s right; everyone in the restaurant knows Xiao’er can cultivate xuan strength. News spread quickly, and I believe many people will find out Xiao’er can cultivate again. Even Father has heard; that’s why I rushed over.” Ling Tao said solemnly.
“What you’re saying…is that someone wishes to harm Xiao’er?” Ling Zhan guessed.
“Second Brother, don’t you find this odd? Someone crippled both you and Xiao’er’s meridians, which mean someone is against the rise of a genius in our Ling Family. We must find Xiao’er as early as possible and deploy our family’s strongest forces to protect him. When he truly becomes a spirit master, then our Ling Family will hold sway over Falling Stone City.” Ling Tao said clearly.
“There’s no time to lose. Let’s hurry and find Xiao’er.” Ling Zhan said quickly. He firmly believes Ling Tao’s words. He was the actual victim and knows someone envied the father and son’s extraordinary talent and wanted to strangle them before they become spirit masters. As the saying goes, the trees that rise above the forest will always be the first to be blown down!
Meanwhile, Luo Qing Shuang was brought back to the family by her older brother, Luo Biao. The giant man is Luo Biao, one of Falling Stone City’s Three Big Young Thugs. His “evil conduct” is just that he’s overbearing, and seemed almost open and upright compared with Li Guang Yin’s oppressive behavior.
“Biao’er, what happened to Shuang’er?” A quiet, middle-aged man of roughly forty-two years asked Luo Biao as he ran in carrying Luo Qing Shuang. This man is Luo Biao’s uncle and Luo Qing Shuang’s father, Luo Tian Zheng, a high-level xuan warrior.
“Uncle, Shuang’er is fine. She should have just fainted.” Luo Biao replied.
Luo Tian Zheng’s gaze swept across the sword wounds on her daughter’s body with many parts of her clothes cut apart and instantly creased his brows before shouting, “Luo Biao. Explain to me exactly what’s going on.”
Luo Biao trembled slightly before handing Luo Qing Shuang over to two maids and ordering them to bring Luo Qing Shuang to her room. Only then did he explain everything that happened at the Fragrant Taste Restaurant to Luo Tian Zheng.
After listening, Luo Tian Zheng let out a sigh and then asked seriously, “You’re saying that crippled kid from the Ling Family used one move to defeat Qing Shuang?”
Luo Biao nodded his head heavily and said, “Correct. At that time, I saw that the move’s power is astonishing so I was forced to give Qing Shuang a hand. It’s just that Qing Shuang bore the attack directly, and appear…appear slightly worse for wear. If Ling Xiao wanted to kill Qing Shuang, I’m afraid I would not be able to save her.”
Luo Biao felt the fear lingering in his heart. Even if he now has the strength of a high-level xuan pract.i.tioner, he had no confidence that he would survive Ling Xiao’s move. Only someone who has reached xuan warrior cultivation is likely to suppress him.
“Alright, since Qing Shuang incited this matter, we’ll let it go. You can withdraw.” Luo Tian Zheng waved his hand and said.
After Luo Biao had left, Luo Tian Zheng’s figure launched towards the family’s inner court.
Ling Family’s cripple who had been given a death sentence can cultivate xuan strength. He must certainly let his father know. After all, this cripple was regarded as the number one genius in Falling Stone City two years ago. G.o.d knows what kind of surprises this sudden emergence will bring.
